"My mother is one of the fussiest eaters I know. She can find fault with almost any food venue. But this is the one restaurant she raves about to all her friends. And she is right. Everything we chose was perfect. Even the pitcher of Mango Mojotis was a real treat. Last year I brought my Mom here for Mother's Day. This year we came back with my sister and my niece. And they had a great meal also."

"Celebrated Mother's Day, Waiter was very helpful or pleasant. Sometimes we would tip more but in this case we would've opted to tip in the 10-15% range due to the overall service from the waiter, his wait staff was GREAT."

"The food was great, I recommend the taste of Cuba, a very delightful way to taste a little bit of everything the restaurant has to offer. Tasting size servings from each course, Awesome! "Cuba Libre has amazing appetizers, no doubt. But our main entree the Seafood Paella was not the best, and for the price we paid at almost $30.00, we should have order more appetizers, not enough rice, not enough seafood, served on a small pan. The drinks where not good either. I asked for a Caiperihan, excuse my spelling here. It was almost served on a shot glass, I was not happy paying $11.00 for a shot glass. Also, the drink was not balanced correctly, it was sour, they are suppose to be sweeter.
I don't think I will be going back to Cuba Libre, I was very disappointed."

"We like Cuba Libre very much, and have been several times. However, this time a member of our party was a vegan, and I had checked out the menu ahead of time to make sure they had items for him to eat. Unfortunately, they had changed the menu and did not update it on line, so the things I had picked out were no longer available. He managed to find things to eat, but not as I had planned. As usual, food was good, and mojitoes were awesome!!"

"We were there this past Friday 4/26/2013. The whole staff is friendly and smiling, service is great. The food is very delicious and not disappointed at all. We had the Vaca Frita and the Ropa Vieja and ate the whole plate. I recommend this place to anyone who likes spices in their food and good spanish music."

"We were in town for a show at Boardwalk Hall and since Cuba Libre is only about a 5-minute walk away we decided on dinner there first. We started with the house salad - the dressing was super tasty, and the avocado in it was perfectly ripe. The yucca is a nice touch too that you really don't get anywhere else. I asked for my Primo Mojito not too sweet and it was just right. My husband's dinner was excellent - one of the new chicken dishes on the menu - but unfortunately my dinner was just so-so. I had the Mango Shrimp and for $24 I expected more than 5 shrimp and 2 pieces of bok choy, and the shrimp were quite overcooked. I'd still go back - our waitress was great and I like the ambiance - but next time I'll stick to the chicken dishes."

"Went for our anniversary and had a 7:30pm reservation. Service was prompt and our server was very helpful. He had a good knowledge of the menu and was able to answer the questions we had. We had the Empanadas and a couple drinks before dinner. My wife had Cosmos and I had the Paradise Punch and a Havana Iced Tea. Good stuff! For dinner I had Vaca Frita which is skirt steak with garlic and lime with sides of rice and beans. The meat was flavorful but a little tough. My wife had Mango BBQ Shrimp and she said it was very good. I tried it and liked it. The waiter offered dessert but we declined, however I did sample a sipping rum from their huge selection! Pyrat XO Reserve. Will definitely go back."

"We had the earliest reservation time for dinner, at 4pm when dinner just started, so when we sat down we were the only ones in the resturant. we had been to this Cuba Libre a few times before but just not recently and this visit everything was perfect. i cannot explain how great the food tasted. also the sevice was perfect as well. i cannot wait to go back there and will not wait as long between visits."

"Food was unbelievable! Even the bread that they served was fantastic with flavored butter. Drinks were great and strong, not too pricey for AC. Service could of been better! They kind of Kicked us out because they were transferring it into a club after our meal. Should of told us that when we made a late reservation. Workers were cleaning around us and storing chairs around us when we were still eating. Thought it was a little rude that the waitress opened the check holder (cigar box) to look a the tip in front of us ( Tipped 20%). Just not good server etiquette."

"I was really excited for the food but it was a huge disappointment the meat which I got flank steak was very very salty my girlfriend had got the salmon it was dry and chewy they serve the food in these big plates but its a very small serving of food the apptetizers are suppose to be for sharing but they are not. The waitress was rude i didnt even get her name she acted like she had no time she did not make us feel welcomed at all the only good thing at the place was the white rice and black beans and like i said they are in very small bowls left hungry and not happy in the end my dinner and 1 drink came to $50.Never again"

"Very disappointed I dont know how cuba rated so high . Service very unprofessional the food was like eating scraps the tables where set on top of each other everybody's including the wait staff butts rubbed the top of the table's. They rushed your diner so they can clear the tables to turn the dinning area into a dance floor.when they set a dress code they should inforce it.manangement never even made it a point to make it over to the table to address the situations ."

"Great drinks, great food, great theme. The drinks are all made with fresh ingredients and it makes all the difference in the world! Food is awesome, the Vaca Frita is amazing!! The churrasco was melt in your mouth perfect! We went with our two older children, but I think little ones (under 12 or so) wouldn't appreciate it as much and might get restless in the busy restaurant. Its a lively, fun spot that should definitely be checked out by anyone looking to dine in the neighborhood."

"I loved this place!!! The food was delicious and the after hours dancing was incredible as well. The only thing I didnt like was the spacing between the tables. You could basically reach out and touch the person seating next to you as well as hear their conversation. But dont let that keep you away, this place is a must if your in Atlantic City."

"We purchased the combo of hotel / cubre libre for my birthday. It was the worst experience ever. The service was slow. The server never came back to the table. The food was over cooked and dry, especially my steak, since I can not eat seafood and thats all that was available for the limited menue for the combonation, I did not eat. We complained to the manager as he said can we get you another one. But realistically who wanted to wait? At the end he offered a 50 gift card, however, you had to buy 50 to get 25 off. What kind of deal is that when you already spend money there and it was horrible? Will not go back for dinner! Drinks were great at the bar!"

"My wife and I made a reservation even though it was a relatively quiet Tuesday. Even though we arrived a few minutes early we were greeted with a smile by the Hostess and promptly escorted to our table. Our waiter, Eddie arrived shortly thereafter, greeted us and asked if we've ever been to Cuba Libre before, which we had. My wife and I had already made up our minds that we would each have the "15 Tastes of Cuba" meal. As the name describes this is a appetizer to dessert feast of small plates or "tapas" comprised of menu items. Some of the plates are periodically substituted so the likelihood of two presentations over time being the same is small. If you've never visited this restaurant order the 15 Tastes, it is sublime!"

"First time at Cuba Libre, but won't be the last. The food was delicious and the combination of Cuban ingredients made it a more unique dining experience than the typical steak and Italian places. The entree (can't pronounce!) with the scallops, chicken and salmon was great, as were the guava ribs appetizer and the potato/beef balls."

"We visited during Restaurant Week and were very impressed. The Restaurant Week menu was extensive, interesting and generous. Diners are offered their choice of two appetizers, an entree and dessert. Portions were so large, we took food home! We ate a lot.
The food was delicious. Wonderful combinations of flavors and textures. Seafood was fresh and prepared with Caribbean flare. The ribs were tender, sweet, sticky and unique.
Don't miss the ravioli, they were a personal favorite!
