"Our party of four had a wonderful dinner at Oceanaire Seafood Room this past Saturday evening. Well prepared cocktails started the event. Spinach salad, iceberg wedge, BLT salad and crab cakes were the first course for our group with no disappointments. Main course: Sole a la Floretine, Horseradish crusted Halibut, Filet mignon and shrimp and seared scallops. All superbly prepared and delicious. It was a Birthday celebration and they surprised us with Baked Alaska (cookies and cream ice cream inside) - delicious. We brought our own wine (2008 Lewis Chardonnay). Great choices on the wine list but a bit pricey. Scotty was our server and did a great job. Will be back for sure."

"Multiple wait staff was highly intuitive (filling drinks w/o being asked, and I drink a lot of water so that's impressive), helpful, friendly without being obsequious and professional. Food was outstanding - the brussels sprouts and the scallops are the to die for. Creme brulee dessert was wonderful, but it's a big portion, more suited for two.

"I've been going to Oceanaire for about 8 years now and I can safely say they have lost its touch. The first time I went Chef Malarkey was in the kitchen. Now things have fallen flat and it's sad to see. The scallops entree was severely over seasoned and tasted like a pile of salt. Based on this experience and the last one I don't believe we'll dine here again."

"The service here far outshines the food. We had a wonderful experience as Ken helped us pick the best items on the menu. You do indeed get what you pay for here so don't be cheap. From the moment you enter, the staff treats you like the most important people in the room. Absolutely wonderful. "This is the 4th Oceanaire that we have visited and I would rate it as good if not better than the one in Washington DC. The food was prepared exactly to our liking. My husbands Sea Bass was one of the best he has ever had. We had a card from the Marriott for a free appetizer - Calamari . As I don't eat Calamari they substituted a crab cake- ( good, but a little too runny for my liking). I grew up with Maryland Crab Cakes. I had the Shrimp Cocktail appetizer as my dinner entree and it was more than enough- large succulent shrimp.
Our Waiter Nick was exceptional. Such great service from him ( he could teach many how to provide great service). Nick was constantly in motion- something you rarely see anymore."

We looked at the menu and were shocked at the prices. The least expensive bottle on the list was $ 49.00! Pricing was ala carte. One piece of fish with some sauce was on a average of $ 30.00. You can practically buy a whole fish for that price! Side dishes were on an average of $ 10.00-12.00!! And the portions were moderate at best. Charging $ 30-50.00 for a piece of fish is ludicrous. I thought we would give the restaurant a chance but after the food arrived, it was mediocre at best. Certainly not warranting, the pricing. I just don't appreciate restaurants gouging the customers."

"Oceanaire was very nice for a special occasion. It is expensive, but the food is very good so you don't feel like you've spent a lot of money for something you can get anywhere. The seared Ahi was prepared beautifully and you could taste the freshness. The swordfish was also prepared perfectly with great flavor. The Baked Alaska was fun, but a bit too much rum! It was a great experience. We would go back."

"We have been here several times before. We love to go to Happy Hour in the bar. This time we were celebrating our aunt's 87th birthday so we sat in the dining room. The service was outstanding. We ordered several dishes and shared everything. Everything was absolutely delicious! They can accommodate large parties or just a romantic evening for two. We were all impressed! Can't wait to go back again."

"Absolutely fantastic find, when I learned they were recently purchased by Landry's. my family and I used a Landry's e-certificate.
Definitely will go there again the next time we are in San Diego.

"From the moment we walked into the Resturant; we were treated like royalty on my 60th Birthday. The menue had"HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY" typed on it. Very friendly staff from bottom to top. I know the manager asked us at least three I times if everything was going OK. It had been too long to come back and it won't be long before we return. Finally the waitress had a beautiful personality and smile."
