"McKenna's brunch menu is so tempting that it's difficult to choose. Everything is delicious. This time I had an eggs benedict made with crabcake and pink grapefruit hollandaise, and it was perfection. Hot little poppyseed muffins were brought to the table immediately and were delicious. This restaurant has one of the best wait staffs of any restaurant I frequent (most of which are in west LA)."

"I lived the food, loved the area but the service was terrible. After I made my reservation I called to reserve a table outside and they said they would put a note in my reservation. Then we got there and they had screwed everything up. Then they have us a really small table for 6 people. Then we had very long gaps waiting for our service and our server got confused with another server and they kept changing on us. They just weren't very attentive. But the food was great and view was awesome."

"I reluctantly answered "Yes" to the question, "Would you recommend McKenna's on the Bay to a friend?" I have dined at McKenna's on several occasions, and always thought the service was slower than it should be, but last Saturday (pre-Mother's Day lunch) the kitchen outdid itself for slowness. It was so bad that our waiter and the floor manager repeatedly stopped by our table to assure us that our food would "be out in 5 minutes." That happened several times over the span of 30 minutes or so. I'll have to think long and hard before I visit McKenna's again, and if I have a lot of time to spare, I'll probably go there - for the view, the ambiance, and the quality of the food - when it finally arrives."

"I made a reservation and requested outside. When we got there we were offered the last table, by the access doors in the sun without an umbrella. It was Mothers Day and hot as can be. For a 4:30 reservation they could have done better, I can't imagine everyone was out there with reservations. We then said it wasn't acceptable, to plz bring us inside. We had a guest from out of town and wanted a booth by the windows. They said the booths were for larger parties than three. We then took a booth further inside. 20 minutes later, they sat a group of three at one booth and a group of four at the other. I think making a reservation should give preference, if I didn't like the view, I would have made a reservation elsewhere. They blew it."

"We enjoyed our meal. We had reservations for the theater after dinner and were able to make our curtain time. If we had more time available our experience would have been better. The only negative is the sun set - it is difficult to get away from the sun from 6 to 7 this time of year. Next time we go it will be earlier or later."

"We love having McKenna's in our neighborhood! They offer several options to enhance your dining experience. Go casual (bar menu) on the outside patio or more sedate in the dining room, both with great water views that can be amazing at sunset! The live entertainment in the bar is always enjoyable.
I'm not sure why they have a "bar menu" and a "regular menu", because we discovered all food items are available wherever you are seated. Everything we've ever ordered has been really good. Last visit, I had the Halibut Special and it was excellent; although at $32, maybe $5-$6 more that I would have prefered to pay. The wine list is varied with some reasonably priced options. Check out the chop salad and/or the fresh cut potato chips!!"

"This was my second visit to McKenna's. The first was a Friday for drinks with a friend. I saw the St. Patrick's Day menu and decided to return. My girlfriend and I ordered Black and Tans to start just to get into the spirit of things then I went for the Bangers and Mash. I was very happy with the bangers but I wish they had gravy for the mashed potatoes. The grilled Brussel sprouts were a pleasant surprise however a bit too salty for my taste. My girlfriend ordered the corned beef and cabbage and was very pleased with her choice. We also ordered oyster shots, a treat were seldom get to enjoy. With the entertainment, food and good service, it was an evening well spent even if a little pricey."

"We have celebrated Valentine's Day at McKenna's 4 years in a row. The first 2 years were without reservations. Fortunately, both times they were able to accommodate us. We find that the food always tastes good and special requests are never treated as an inconvenience. The servers engage with the diners (not in an intrusive way) so it is an overall very pleasant experience."

"McKenna's on the Bay is a very good restaurant with great views of the ocean and Naples Peninsula. We came for brunch and considering our reservation was at 11am on a Sunday, our table was ready and we were seated right away. Our server was quick and courteous and everything came out timely. My only criticism stems from the food, which I was not overly impressed with. I ordered the Eggs Chesapeake which is a play on Eggs Benedict (one of my favorite breakfast dishes). Unfortunately, the eggs were not poached well and had broken apart before I could even cut into the dish. Additionally, the english muffin was a little soggy and not very crisp. Although I was not impressed with the food, I would come back again just for the views."

"Bar noise carries over into even the far reaches of the dining room, unfortunately. Not that the music is bad, but it was not conducive to quiet chat. Fish was fresh and deelish. Service was attentive, and everyone was nice. Easy dinner! Easy place to come for a non-special occasion as well as big nights."
