"Wonderful brunch experience especially for a special occasion. Great selection of food and very good too - plus they keep the champagne flowing. I booked Mother's Day almost 2 months in advance but I don't think you need to book that early for a 'regular' Sunday. There's also a lot to see on the ship like the Princess Diana exhibit we toured."

"I've been to the Queen Mary for brunch before... the food was good but the service was terrible this time. Perhaps they did not have as many servers as in years past but I always ran out of something to drink. My coffee went cold and I kept having to find a server. :( I was very disappointed."

"This was our third ... no, probably our fourth Queen Mary Champagne Sunday Brunch on Mother's Day. First time the restaurant was really a zoo ... long wait (even with a reservation), some of the customary brunch food items were overcooked or not available at all ... wait staff covering too many tables. Other than the fact that the setting was the Queen Mary, I would rate the overall experience a C- ... and my wife really would not like to spend next Mother's Day there."

"Help seemed overwhelmed. Drinks took to long to get and too long to refill. Since this is a family destination I suggest you prepare. Kids usually order milk and/or chocolate milk. When our kids ordered chocolate milk they were brought milk with a bag of powered chocolate to mix themselves. This is not appropriate service for $60/per person meal."

"It is a beautiful space for Mother's Day brunch. Added to that is the musician playing near the brunch area. But, it seems like something happened to the quality of the food this year. Some of it was prepared poorly and some just didn't taste good, especially the soups. If you liked shrimp, though, you'd be in heaven, as well as with their pasta dishes. If you want to drink orange juice and champagne during your meal, service for it is pretty good, but it takes some doing to get water and other beverage refills. We were seated near a porthole, so there was nice light flowing in and scenic views of the ocean. I will take mom here again and hope that this was just a little bit of an off day."

"My kid's and I stayed overnight and had reservations for the Brunch at 11 am. We were seated right away and our server immediately filled my champagne glass and kept it filled through our stay! The food was excellent. There were a lot of people but the food lines were not too long and there was something there for everyone. The person at the omelette station did a fabulous job. I even saw her add vegetables into an omelette that a woman had brought over from another station. She really went out of her way. My kids are picky eaters, but there was still plenty of food that they liked. We ate so much we did not eat the rest of the day. Thanks for a great Mother's Day."

"Most of the staff really tried to make it memorable. Especially the valet and the welcome staff. My biggest problem was with our waiter, Francisco. I even tipped him an extra $20 when we were first seated. All I asked him was if he could make sure that my wife had coffee refills. She is a big coffee drinker and this was her "day." Well, he did exactly the the opposite and of course my special lady's brunch was ruined when she had to keep flagging waiters down just to get a coffee refill. It made me feel horrible for her. I couldn't believe Francisco completely ignored our table even after I had secretly tipped him extra for his help. Unfortunately, my wife is now telling everyone we know what a bad experience the Queen Mary brunch was."

"The selection of food was great, so much and quite a variety. It got a little confusing at times, so the waiters forgot who asked for what, so it was hard at one point to get that second cup of coffee! But the wait was not a real problem, though, for it gave the food a chance to digest more, and then you could get back up for more delicious food and try something else. I would recommend it to others, but I was confused by the pricing, cause it had a range of $31-$60. My understanding it was $59.95, one price for all! Was the pricing put on by Open Table, like low, moderate and expensive range?"

"It was the first time having brunch here for both my wife and I . It was mothers day. It happened to be my wifes first mothers day. Both the service and food were excellent. Wait staff went way out of their way to make her experience unforgettable. They had a harpist playing wonderful music. Would definitely will visit again. Only problem was the air conditioning. It was a really hot day. Other than that, what a day."

"did not wait too long to be seated...wife and i enjoyed the large variety of food to choose from, loved the harp..a bit pricy would not be able to afford to do that again anytime soon..the ship tour was awful.the ship is run down..the walk around tour was boring at best..the view of long beach is great. the ship is lucky to have a scenic port to be parked in, the halls inside looked like a long cheap Las Vegas hotel, and looked in one of the rooms, i would never have interest in staying. it was as small as a motel bungalow, over all i give the champagne brunch a 7.5..the ship a 4. i would only come back for the food"

"What makes the Queen Mary Brunch wonderful is the friendly atmosphere, the great food, terrific history of being on board the frmr luxury liner but mostly the absolutely professional & outstanding service from the servers. I have my favorite & he & his serving partner are the reason my family & I keep coming back year after year. "Made a reservation for Easter Brunch for my husband and I. Reservation was for 9am, the doors opened a few minutes early and we were at our seats by 9. The room was beautiful and all the food was on display. It was an amazing assortment. Nothing ever ran out, they kept everything full, hot, and fresh. The wait staff was excellent as well and made our Easter morning enjoyable. Our glasses of the unlimited champagne never sat empty before they were refilled along with our orange juice. This was our first time at the Queen Mary for their Sunday Brunch, and it will not be our last. Excellent, excellent, excellent!! We will most definitely be back."

"The Queen Mary Brunch is definitely a must for super special occasions and worth splurging for. The food was very fresh and prepared well. Service was spot-on and we had constant attention and refills of aromatic hot coffee, fresh orange juice and champagne. A beautiful talented harpist accompanied us to lovely tunes on her gorgeous huge harp which made the atmosphere all the more special. We took our daughter and her best friend for their 17th birthdays and we all dressed up. The girls were awed by every bit of it. Afterward we enjoyed browsing through the hotel and shops areas of the ship and then touring the on the public areas of which admission was included with the price of the brunch. Desserts were a disappointment."

"Great brunch to attend if you haven't before, we were seated by 2 large groups that were 10+ people with a birthday at each table. They got great service with the champagne, but became quite loud and it was a little bothersome. At least the staff was smart enough to seat them around the perimeter of the seating area, unfortunately we ended up in between the two groups.
Great presentation, seafood was fantastic, would do it again if visiting the area with someone that hadn't done it.
Really should validate parking, $15 on top of a $100+ bill for two was a little insulting to depart the parking area. You'd think at that rate for parking they could afford a little weed killer and maintenance on the area around the lot and approach."

"I would have given excellent for the food except that because the food is in warmers sometimes your choice in food is cold. Lots of choices and the best eggs Benedict I've ever had even if it was cold! The service was great all of the staff was extremely kind definitely a great experience! There is a harpist playing during brunch it really sets the tone and makes for great ambience and beautiful music."

"This buffet sets a standard for presentation and service. Over the years that I have visited for brunch on special occasions little has changed in quality or service. There are fewer made to order sections only omelets and waffles. What has changed is price. This is an expensive brunch. However, we went on Easter Sunday and I noticed that the pricing on this brunch was about the same, within 10 dollars, as other brunches for Easter. This one had a live harp player, an ice sculpture spiral covered in shrimp, a giant ice Easter bunny, all the buffet choices you could want, unlimited champagne, coffee, tea, and juice, all of which were topped constantly. The beautiful dining room of the Queen Mary is stunning & this is worth a trip."

"My son and I traveled from SF Bay area to spend Easter Brunch with my other son and his fiancé. We had a fabulous time, and plan on returning next year with more family and friends. "Easter Sunday brunch on board the RMS Queen Mary. Simply put, it really doesn't get any better.
The food is excellent and there is a huge variety to choose from. Despite the large number of people dining here on Easter Sunday, the staff and employees of the Queen Mary did not miss a beat. THe service was top notch.

"I had booked the QM brunch from Australia after googling 'what to do in Long Beach. We had been on a 2 week cruise and our ship docked in Long Beach on the Sunday morning. We weren't sure what to do with our luggage, even though I had sent a request to the booking address asking if it was suitable to store luggage.
A fellow passenger told us that, as it was also a hotel, it was possible to store luggage.
It was an easy walk to the QM from the Carnival dock, even with luggage.
The service right from the start was great. Champagne and orange juice flowed non stop with really pleasant waiting staff.
Buffet food was fresh and yummy!
And make sure you leave enough time to wander around the ship. A trip back in time!

In our opinion, more attention should be paid to the ARRIVAL and WELCOME of guests. MANY of us had NO IDEA where to begin, where to go, what to see and where to see it. We were advised - "go to the second floor", and then we were ON OUR OWN. We found our way and had a great time. But we assume that most people are first time visitors, like we were, and would appreciate a little more help in getting started."

"Terrible, terrible food. Service was slow and painful. Shrimps were so bad and mushy that everybody was ignoring them. The Mexican corner was the one with a lot of choices but I was not there to eat mexican food. Pasta were drying, nobody touching them. Everybody was rushing for pastries... I tried a few, very very disappointing. If you want to visit the Queen Mary, buy your ticket but do not go there for the brunch."

"We have been for Sunday Brunch a few times. Our best brunches have been on special occassions....Father's Day, Mother's Day. It seems like the selection offered on special occassions is better than the regular Sunday Brunch. The food trays are kept full and there are more food varieties on special occassions. Service has always been good. Can't complain about the free flowing champagne : )

"The food was fantastic. Everything you could want for brunch. The ambiance is stunning, giving you the feeling of how it was to travel in luxury back in time. However, they don't serve Champagne. It is a lower end sparkling wine, but it worked with every dish I tried. The staff kept your glass full of what ever you were drinking."
