"I took my mom there for Mothers Day and we were both very pleased with the exceptional food and service. We really felt pampered and I didn't try anything that I didn't like. Take your appetite! It's well worth the price. Can't wait to go again."

"China is a perfect place for a romantic night out or to celebrate a special occasion. The service is top notch and excellently trained. The wine list is extensive and the staff are knowledgeable on pairings and can make suggestions if you aren't sure. The appetizers served are hot and succulent and set the mood for the main course, the rodizio. Even if you're not a large meat eater or in a group with a vegetarian the salad bar is more than enough to satisfy. The meat is the star of the meal with 16 different selections from sirloin to beef ribs to chicken. All perfectly cooked to your liking whether you like it rare or up to well they have it the way you want it all perfectly seasoned. I would highly recommend China for your next night out."

"I almost fell over when I saw the bill-as delicious as it was, I think $50 a person is crazy!! I made a few members of my party get salad bar only to keep the expense down but still was floored by the price. most expensive meal I have had in the last 10 years. its a nice place but to pay $200 for a buffet experience was ridiculous. I know, I should have checked before we went--I have been to many of these places before and have never seen the salad bar only price that high. Had I known I would not have gone. sadly, I couldnt leave the waiter a decent tip because the bill was simply too high."

"We've had enough Chima for quite some time. The service was not great. The waiter kept trying to push $100+ wines. The food quality has go e down and the place was too noisy. Granted it was Mother's Day, we could have lived without the screaming kids. One word for those people; babysitter. A $300+ bill and left disappointed."

"This was the first time I experienced poor service and food at Chima's , spending $300.00 should have provided better results. Drinks were slow in arriving and only after asking three times were they received,requests for specific meats and fish took several requests as well,and desert was very disappointing. Normally this is one of the best dining experiences this time I can say it was not , it even included a 10.00 charge for Mother's Day ,which was in very poor taste."

"I took my wife for our 10th year anniversary and it was great. Once we parked valet for no charge, the restaurant was so romantic. My wife and I went upstairs where it was no noise. My wife turned her card over and the guys just kept bring food. I must say all the reviews that are bad are just plain out liars. This restaurant will always be our anniversary dinner spot."

"Chima had amazing service including complementary Valet parking and downtown Charlotte that is a plus. It isn't the first Brazilian steakhouse I have been to, but the food was seasoned very well.
All the good was great. They seemed to have a very nice wine list as well. The biggest thing that set them apart from other Brazilian steak houses was the fact that they asked if we were wanting a particular cut of meat and how we wanted it cooked. It was at our table less than two minutes later. Very impressive."

"We celebrated our grandson's 21st birthday. The entire staff made him feel very special. I appreciated the attention given to our younger grandson as well. The staff is well trained - keep up the great service and we'll keep coming back. The food was excellent.

"We love Chima for celebrations - birthdays, graduations, Mother's/Father's day. The salad/food bar is excellent, and any vegetarian or light eater would be very happy. The meats have an excellent variety and have always been cooked perfectly (we like medium rare, but you can select whatever you like). The restaurant is kid friendly for well behaved children (restaurant manners) and it is unique enough that they will find it a favorite (order them a special lime drink). Birthday diners get a Portuguese "happy birthday" song plus an excellent dessert. Highly recommend!"

"The food was good but it seemed a little more like a buffet than fine dining. At $49.50 I would say make sure you go hungry for some protein. The salad bar and table delivered side were just okay and everything was served VERY QUICKLY so you felt like you we're rushed to eat and most ended up cold before you could get to it."

"A typical Brazilian barbecue in concept, Chima takes things up to another level. Quality of food is what reigns supreme here. The meats are cooked exceptionally well, and the servers are able to customize your preferred "doneness." The salad bar is very good also and even offered some unexpected items such as soup and rice. Service is very attentive but not overly pushy. We were especially impressed with the electronic 'order' pads the servers use. It seemed that the wait for wine, dessert, or anything was minimal due to their use. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and Chima threw in a few dessert. I would highly recommend it. Noise level is moderate and I think well-behaved children would be fine here."

"Loved the restaurant. I have always been a big fan of Brazillian restaurants & Chima's are among my favorites. The only downside is the new "commercialism" of restaurants, where singing some derivation of the birthday song is required when celebrating a birthday. I think that group singing is great for lesser scale restaurants but after a certain price point, you tend to expect a more serene environment to match the ambiance and financial expectations of your dining experience. So our night was full of revelry from prom guests and birthday celebration songs. Needless to say, to sing all these birthday songs, means ultimately the wait staff is now focused on that nonsense, and less on retrieving requests or replenishing your beverage."

"Goodness, I had heard good things about Chima's but I didn't think that it would be this good. This is the kind of restaurant that makes your average steakhouse look like a steak n' shake. There wasn't a single thing there that was below par. The salad bar had more meat on it than it actually had salad. I am going to go back at the first available opportunity, and maybe sooner if I can find an excuse."

"I eat at Chima's fairly regularly and it's always fantastic, and this visit was no exception. I've eaten at other rodizio restaurants, and Chima's is the best I've ever been to, by far."

"Since we had been to Chima before I thought that this would be a good place to take my cousin and his friends while he was in town visiting and because they all love steak! I have never had a disappointing experience until this time and I felt terrible because this was my cousin and his friends first time dining here. I felt that the service was slower than usual and we were forgotten about since we were in the corner of the restaurant. One person at our table was forgotten about 2 times as the meat was coming around and one of the times he was skipped, it was the meat he was waiting for. We then had to tell someone to stop skipping him. Our server then asked if we were specifically looking for something and we told him all that we wan"

"I absolutely love, love, love Chima. On this occasion I brought my in-laws who are true red-neck country folks and they actually reeled-it-in and we had a great time out and excellent dining EXPERIENCE. I was introduced to Chima during the DNC and it was the first place I took my wife during post-DNC times. It is now our favorite place to dine."

"Good food but way too expensive. Only worth it if all in party can eat a lot. 275$ for 4 adults and 2 kids and no alcohol. And only 2 of us had the full rodizio. I'm one of the big eaters, so for me it was excellent. Next time will go only with friends, guys night out."

"This was a very nice restaurant & dining experience. The only real negative was the screaming child but that isn't the restaurant's fault (though it could go to "no children under 2" or something.....really is not a restaurant for young children). My recommendations for improvement: have more than 1 selection for soup; have more vegetables on salad bar; add lobster as a choice for level of dining (salad bar only; salad & meats; salad, meats, & lobster tail).

"Truly enjoyable experience. Service was outstanding, everyone on the service team was very courteous. Salad bar was fresh and plentiful and all the meats served were seasoned well and very flavorful. Our favorite was the Top Sirloin, though the Flank steak and Ribeye were close second. Don't forget to try the Salmon with its special sauce.

"This was my first visit to Chima and it won't be my last. Everything was very tasty. No bland food here! Once you sit down some appetizers come to your table and then you help yourself to the salad bar. It has salads, veggies, fruits, meats and pastas. Then come the meats and several side dishes. There are about 10 meats to chow down on. These meats are sliced right at your table. You decide how much you want and how done you want it. Meats include chicken (I liked the bacon wrapped chicken the best), pork, and many cuts of beef including NY Strip and Filet. There were 2 fish choices. The servers are attentive and helpful but not intrusive. For dessert I recommend the Walnut Fluff. Expect $75 each if you have one drink and dessert."

"While not quite a classic churrascaria such as Fogo da Chao, Plataforma or Porcao (my favorite),Chima does it well for a city like Charlotte. The rodizio-style restuarant is truly authentic and the meats are excellent. For those who have never been to the classics such as those named above, Chima will be a most memorable experience."
