"I took my boyfriend to Chima for his birthday, we had a great expiereince, everyone is friendly and helpful and the food was outstanding. The only downside of the evening was we were completly done our appetizers and salad bar before our drinks from the bar arrived, we specifically waited for our drinks to come to start meat service. We also ordered a regular drink later in the meal and about 15 minutes later we had to a different server again to get it for us. Other than that everything was outstanding and i would definitly like to try it again."

"The food is terrific and the service was excellent. Its a place where you can dress up or go in casual. It was a fun experience. The drinks were great. Abundant supply of meat and fast service. I would definitely recommend coming here, but I wouldn't revommend valet parking. I paid $18 to valet park and then when I came out to get my car they apparently don't know how to start it. They locked up the wheel and didn't know how to unlock it so I had to walk to my car and start it myself. They didn't give me a refund or anytjing for parking. I recommendinv finding street parking or park in a garage. Otherwise chima was a great experience."

"I booked a reservation just a few.hours before on a Sat night and we were seated immediately when we arrived. Both my husband and I have never been to a Brazilian storehouse so we didn't know what to expect. The waitress was very friendly and helpful abduction explained how their system worked. The salad bar was interesting but we didn't see much that we liked which was fine because we came for the meat. There was a quite a selection of meat and most of them were good, especially the filet and the ribeye. Overall the experience was great..just very pricey."

"I always get gift cards for Chima. With the cards they give you $25.00 off of one rodizio cupon. For the first time the waitress told me that when using this upon China automatically applies an 18% gratuity. (There were only three in our party)
Funny thing was I paid using gift cards, of which I had two. The waitress came back and said the bill plus tip broke me even, nothing left on Card and I owed nothing. After 20 minutes discussing math with the server and manager they gave me $56.00 and said now, I was even. This was The only time I ever had a problem here and the food is always great."

"My first time at Chima was this past Mother's Day weekend. We were a group of 5 celebrating my birthday. While the place was totally packed, the staff and service was fantastic. Even as busy as they were, they were very attentive! Food is very good and plentiful. You never felt rushed. We took our time enjoying the fresh and quality salad bar and the many selections of meat. Lamb chops, filet, garlic sirloin and ribs were my favorite!

"on arrival I was greeted by 2 beautiful young ladies at the reservation desk. Their hospitality was good and very professional, considering the mothers day crowd. when seated our hostess was remarkably good, his attitude and knowledge of the food was renown. the salad buffet was very good and rich in variety but everything fell downhill from there. Some of the servers skipped our table while some of the servers was very slow in getting to me. some of them seemed very frustrated by my presence but the service was far in-between with very sparse portions of meat. Never the less the food was good and the atmosphere was comfortable. I will attend again."

"Finally was able to visit Chimas. I made reservations for Mother's Day and did not have to wait long. Our waiter's name was Chris who made our visit so enjoyable. He was funny and personable. "Great choice for a special occasion dinner. Even though it was very crowded on Mothers Day, our table was ready immediately at our reservation time and service was terrific. It's very noisy in here when crowded so if you are looking for a quiet dinner on a busy day this might not be the place. The food is great and they have a very nice wine list. This is the first time we brought our teen/tween kids here and we had an early dining time. I would not recommend this as a place to bring young children, although there were a several there. Be prepared for at least a 1.5 to 2 hour dinner to relax and enjoy the many selections."

"I was highly disappointed with the service. We had to ask for the meat to be brought to our table on several occasions and each time they did not have style of meat we desired(medium rare). Drinks went empty without anyone asking us if we wouldn't refills and when we asked the waitress for a napkin persay she would forget and we had to remind her again."

"A bar and bright, comfortable waiting area. Seated on time, nice seats, great service. Eat from the salad bar as wandering skewer bearers approach your table every few minutes to ask if you'd like a slice of rib-eye or sirloin steak etc. 16 choices: two fish, one lamb, two chicken, the rest beef -- every one really good. Even the doneness you prefer. The sirloin went around more often than the filet, but it was all presented within 20-30 minutes. Salad bar 40-50 items, salads and vegetables, though no fruit. Servers bring little dishes to your table -- rolls, croquettes, mashed potatoes and more. Desserts are available but we were too full. Delicious sangria was only $6.
Expensive -- about $50 each but a worthwhile splurge for carnivores."

"We thought Fogo de Chao was the premiere Brqazilian steakhouse but Chima has far surpased Fogo. The service was impeccable and the quality and taste of the meats was far superior. The meats were not overly seasoned so you could taste the difference and distinction of each meat. The barbeque spareribs were better than any rib place we've been to. The two fish offerings added a nice option and both were delicious.
The salad bar was comparable to Fogo, except the fish offerings was a very nice compliment to the variety of salads, vegetables and fruits."

"After making a reservation for 6:45 on a Saturday night for my boyfriend's birthday, it took 45 minutes for us to be seated (What's the point of making a reservation if they can't provide seating for you). Our waitress and hostess were both very kind, and our meat servers were excellent. The meat however gave both of us chest pain and we had to leave the restaurant before we could even have dessert and cake to celebrate his birthday. It is also outrageously priced. I was really looking forward to having a great night out and a fabulous steak dinner, but what had happened that night was the complete opposite. Never again."

"I brought my husband here for his birthday. Brazilian style steakhouse was a first for us. Chima has a nice space. Before dinner we enjoyed happy hour at the bar. After 25 minutes, a hostess came to the bar to "warn" us we may risk losing our table because we were drinking at the bar. We weren't too upset, but a little bothered that we had to move from the table to the bar to save a few bucks. I mean after all, to eat there it was over $100; the least they could do was let us have a happy hour drink at our table. Moving along! We thought the salad bar was amazing, and the 16 meat choices were awesome. The hostesses/waiters were OK, but we received more help from the bus boys and meat guys. At the end of the day, we were full and satisfied."

"My husband and I went for our 10th anniversary. We mostly tried the beef selections and they were fabulous. The "salad bar" was great too although it contained many things we'd never heard of. It was fun to try different things and was a great experience."

"This is my second time at Chima in Philadelphia and I am still amazed at how well the food and service are every time I go there. I raved about this restaurant for months to my boyfriend and we finally made it there for his birthday. He LOVES it! Always an enjoyable time."

"This is a place I've been wanted to try out. Had a great time, even better than I thought. My mothers smile was the biggest I've seen in a long time, from the staff treating her like a queen. "This is my vegetarian daughter favorite restaurant because of the AMAZING salad bar, so we came here for her 9th birthday. We had a great time and the very nice server insisted on surprising her with a free birthday Tiramisu! She was also serenaded in Portugese, which made it extra special. I highly recommend it."

"This was my first time dining at Chima. I took my younger brother here for his birthday. We both have been to multiple brazilian restaurants in the past, but none compare to the food, service, and ambiance at Chima. They even brought my brother out a birthday caked and sang in brazilian. "Chima is a typical Brazilian style steakhouse and with that comes a hefty price tag. While the food was okay, I feel as though my money would have stretched further elsewhere. The servers would constantly refill our side dishes, but filling up on side dishes is not the way to go at a steakhouse. A smart marketing strategy, but not very subtle. The salad bar was delicious, but some of the actual meats were over cooked and left a lot to be desired. Some meats were much better than others. The salmon was good, but the swordfish was bland.
overall this place is great for the experience and for special occasions, but you can get better food at a better price elsewhere."
