"Two main concerns with our last visit. We were told our steaks would be "marbled" but what we got was "grisled". The steak was barely edible. Also, the prices we were quoted on alcohol were WAY off. If you tell a customer a glass of wine is $9, you charge them $9, not $12!
I hate to discourage customers from this restaurant based on this experience alone. Usually the service and the food are amazing. This just wasn't what we've come to expect from Eddie V's."

"I took my husband to Eddie V's at CITYCENTER for his birthday. I noted on the reservation through OpenTable that it was my husband's birthday. Once seated, the server - I believe his name was Darren - greeted us and wished my husband a happy birthday. The General Manager then came by, introduced himself and wished my husband a happy birthday as well. Food was fantastic! Service was absolutely outstanding! We will be back many times in the future."

"My family and I made reservations here for mother's day. We will definitely be coming back for more family occations. The food was fantastic and the staff was very knowledgable about the whole menu. Everyone was friendly and I especially love when a manager makes a visit to the table. It was a very nice restaurant and we will be back."

"Our group of five ate at Eddie V's Friday night, May 10, 2013. Very professional staff, superb food. The round table benches were strange in that ithey were bifurcated by openings for the server, making it a little difficult to converse across to the other bench. We adjourned to the lounge for after dinner drinks, dessert and entertainment and were delighted with all three (we had chocolate mousse cake and creme brulees -- YUMMMM, and the jazz trio was really, really good). All in all, we highly recommend Eddie V's for a great evening of dining, conversing and entertainment."

"We had a great birthday dinner at Eddie v's. food was great as usual, service impeccable. We shared the Calamari, the Beefsteak tomato salad, Grouper and the Bananas Foster. Accidentally ate a red pepper in the Calamari - yikes and watch out! Bananas Foster - oh my! Eddie V's will continue to be on our special list, even in the competitive Houston market. It also has the advantage of being in a good location for us!"

"I was a bit disappointed about losing my reserved table because my date showed up late, even though I tried to tell the girl at the front desk the situation. It was my date's first time getting there so I had to wait downstairs. We ended up getting a small table on the patio which was ok but a definite downgrade from the dining room."

I think our only criticism is people are constantly coming and asking if everything is OK and it can be quite irritating when you are in midstream conversation. Personally, once the food has come and after the initial visit to see if it is OK I think that would be sufficient. There are plenty of waiter staff around if one needs anything at all you can catch their attention. "Very good restaurant. Had a great time. Service was extremely friendly and overall great. I had the Ribeye and my date had some Cesaer Salad or something with chicken. The steak in my opinion was pretty good (could of used more seasoning for me), but overall cooked very well. Came out how I wanted it cooked and it tasted very good. I was told the salad was good too, but I never tried it myself. They have a good menu and Im happy with what I ordered and the whole experience. Of course the only thing I wasnt too happy about was how expensive it all was, but it's a nice restaurant so it wasn't unexpected. Still great place with good food and great atmosphere. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to celebrate an occasion."

"We went to Eddie Vs to celebrate a friends birthday. I made the reservation on Opentable and included a note about the birthday. I called the day of the meal to confirm they knew we had a birthday and they said it was there on the reservation. I expected some recognition of the event but no one said or acknowledged it in any way.
The meal itself was very good. The bar is very lively for happy hour but the music was way too loud and the lighting too low to read the menus. Just small adjustments in noise and lighting would really make it a great place."

"Excellent Place to bring someone out for a special occasion! We came out for our anniversary and everything was just perfect, they decorated the table just for us and all knew us by name and our occasion. The Truffled Macaroni and Cheese is to die for. We will be visiting again soon!"

"My wife and I came to enjoy dinner, hostess' were warm and friendly, server Brandon was awesome he really took charge of the experience. Food and ambience was impeccable, managers were great as well Paul and drew both stopped by and touched the table and ensured everything was going great. Overall it was a fantastic meal and memorable experience. My wife and I will be back and I would highly recommend this location to anybody."

"I had never eaten at this location before and was looking forward to the evening. I ordered raw oysters and they were the only thing worth the experience. The Halibut we both ordered was dry, tasteless and hard. For a special I figure it would have been perfect. I ate three bites and my friend about the same. It was HORRIBLE."

"The service was outstanding. Walter took care of us and his recommendations were perfect for the ocassion. We were celebrating our 8th sedding anniversary and the dessert was on the house. The chocolate lava cake was awesome!!! I did not gove 5 stars to the food because se asked to jold the garlic on the Florida Grouper. We were told rhe garlic was only on the flour used for pan-searing. However, we found a lot of garlic thin sliced in the sauce as long as a lot of butter (not indicated in the menu)."

"The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent quality and overall well prepared. One person in our party felt his steak was a little over cooked, but he ate it. They have a very good wine list, but I am not sure that they are well versed in their ability to make recommendations or give critiques on specific wines.

"We had a wonderful evening and meal. The service was spectacular! I had to send my fish dish back because it was overdone, but the waiter and manager took it back and brought me something else with nothing but apologies. Second fish dish excellent. Have to try banana foster cake (and I don't even like bananas foster). Thanks for a great evening.

"No proper substitutes in their menu combinations. e.g. Shrimp served with crab meat. No substitute for crab meet. So you pay the full price with 5 shrimp on a large plate. Not very appealing.
