"Had a wonderful birthday dinner for my wife with our children and 3 small grandkids (1, 5, and 8). Everyone enjoyed their food (but the baby had her own from home); the wine was very nice. We dined inside, but although the night air was chilly, the heaters outdoors made the patio a comfortable place to visit, too. Great service!"

"We went for brunch and all of the food smelled great. When we started eating our food most of it was cold and some of the food was hard, especially the eggs benedict and the pancakes. Our waitress was really sweet but it was almost 10 minutes before we had anyone at our table. Unfortunately, we won't be going back anytime soon."

"Very difficult to find. The people who answer the phone are not accomodating in getting you there.The lady just sat on the in silence saying i don't know what else to tell you. I put on my special instructions on my reservations, that i will have my 6 month old baby with me. My child wasn't accomodated. My ribeye steak was not tender. My shrimp appetizers was good. Took my mom for mother's day. She wasn't pleased with her steak. The waiter was great though. I gave him a $40 tip cuz he made my bad experience better. Won't see me again! $240 waste."

"Its a little pricey, but being in the Oak Brook area, that's to be expected. We've been here twice, and both times left happy with our meals. Great burgers. The perfect sized cup/bowl of lobster bisque (on Saturdays), and outstanding appetizers.
Plenty of servers, and all seem to be well-trained and attentive. If you can find this place -- tucked away, yet at the same time right off a busy road -- then its worth a visit."

"It is a nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere. However there was a strange tag team approach to the servers that ended up being very uncoordinated and less than smooth. The food and drinks took a significantly longer amount of time than would be standard for a restaurant trying to achieve the type of reputation I assume they are looking for. We had to remind the servers about an appetizer we ordered they forgot about. Their ability to identify needing more drinks was poor. We seemed to wait so long that we were then filling up on water and needed water refills before our drink. The appetizers were excellent, but the quality of the entrees were lacking and simply adequate, not amazing as I would have expected with the atmosphere."

"We had to wait 15 min past our reservation time for a table and when we did get a table it was in the private party room so we felt isolated. They have mostly booths here so don't request a table. Although the room was cold it was ok until they seated about 10 Goodfellas behind me and my husband. So much for our romantic dinner. I can see the draw of this place the ambiance is really nice and romantic. The outdoor space is heated and makes you feel like you're camping out with friends. I ordered grilled halibut - kind of blah and my husband ordered prime rib - ok. I would like to go back with a group in the summer and spend time at the outdoor bar."

"It was mine and my boyfriends first time dining at Redstone and lately when we have gone out to eat, we have been having bad experiences, but Redstone completely changed that for us. We were seated right away, the atmosphere was a great combination between casual yet perfect for a nice night out, and the service was excellent. I was set on trying a burger when I arrived and ended up trying a special dish and couldn't have been more happy with trying a dish recommended by the server. Excellent food/service and will, most definitely, be returning again."

"We had an enjoyable birthday dinner for our daughter. I had a fresh fish of the day....halibut. It was prepared to my liking and the fresh fruit salsa was delicious. My daughter and husband enjoyed the filet that which was also prepared to their liking. The buffalo shrimp was delicious. The featured wine list was helpful in pairing the right wine to our meals. It was a very nice evening and I look forward to our next visit at Redstone."

"The ambiance and customer service at Redstone was awesome. The appetizer I ordered was exceptional. Unfortunately, the main course was way below average. They were out of the shredded pork which I thought was a signature dish. I finally decided upon the short rib sandwich and my lunch date ordered the chicken sandwich. Needless to say, both dishes were horrible. The rib sandwich was not a good cut of meat. The sandwich was pretty much just fat. The chicken sandwich was bland and overcooked. I will not be returning."

"Went with 2 girlfriends. We got seated around the corner from the entrance, kind of breezy, but it warmed up. Ordered drinks and then waiter kind of forgot about us for about 20 min and we had to flag down another waiter to say 'ahem'. Our waiter came back, apolgized, then took our order which by now we had to order appetizers AND dinner. The manager came to apologize also and said we'd get the appetizer (spinach dip) for free. COOOL. However, then the order got 'lost' in the kitchen and appetizers AND dinner (salmon, tilapia and chicken) took a long time. Now, we were given dessert (some special peanut butter chocolate thing) for free. All in all, food was good; service sketchy but I would give it another chance."

"We headed to Redstone for dinner, and I'm usually reluctant to go there because in the past I've always had problems getting seated even close to the requested time. This time, however, the restaurant was a bit slow so we were seated promptly. Not much to say about the food, it was good as always and the grilled and rotisserie items were great.
My one issue this time was with service. It started out strong but then the food orders came out a bit wrong (we didn't make special requests) and then follow up service seemed spotty. But everyone can have an off day or service, so it won't affect my views except to say it was below their usual standards.
I'll definitely go back to Redstone -- as long as they can manage their reservations"

"We had a large group gathered for a birthday party. Everyone said they had a wonderful time and would be back to Redstone. Having been here several times myself, I was pleased with the consistency of my experiences again. The bartender on Saturday night was spot on with suggestions, conversation and kindness. Our server Denise handled our group very well. Meals were fine. I am not seven sure what eveyone ordered- but there were no complaints. As usual my GF options were slim however delicious. All in all it was a terrific birthday dinner."

"Have eaten at Redstone many times, first time at their Easter brunch. The Easter brunch was excellent. The lemon bluberry yogurt coffee cake they brought to our table was divine! The brunch buffet was loaded with tasty options. You could also order an omelet from your waiter which was nice. Carving station had delicious ham and prime rib which I didn't try. Stone crab claws, smoked salmon, hash browns and fresh berries were some of the highlights for me."

"Last year (2012) my family came to Redstone for Easter brunch and it was delicious. Our table was in a nice quiet place. However, this year (2013) we came again for Easter and it as not a good experience. The food on the buffet was bland and not very hot. We were seated in a booth that was right next to the food line and it was very hard for the servers to get by. The whole atmosphere felt crowded and we were not impressed. Music was loud and the smell of the food was so strong since we were sitting right next to the buffet."

"The food on the brunch buffet was very average. The bacon and sausage were cold. There was no butter or syrup on the table. It took two trips to the grill area to have it handed to me to take back to the table. The server had two larger parties to wait on so we saw him four times one of which was to leave the check and thank us! I will not go back for the weekend brunch! Egg Harbor for a more satisfying experience at a fourth of the price."

"What a wonderful surprise! Redstone Grill did not immediately come to mind when I decided to book our Easter brunch but I'm sure glad I found it! We have eaten there numerous times for dinner but I had no idea they had Easter brunch. The brunch started with a moist and delicious complementary lemon-blueberry cake brought to our table. The brunch selections were ample and delicious.The buffet began with breakfast, moved to lunch and dinner selections and finished with chilled crab claws, smoked salmon and fruit. The desserts added just the right touch. We had a lovely brunch and will try them again."
