Hinterland Brewery Restaurant
When it comes to great dining experiences in Northeastern Wisconsin, Hinterland tops the list. Set in a hip, historic warehouse, the dining room is set aglow by a crackling wood fire. Our lounge is a great place to retreat for a handcrafted beer, cocktail or an exceptional glass of wine. Hinterland also offers beautiful secluded outdoor dining. While Hinterland’s reputation for great atmosphere has made it a favorite among locals for romantic dinners, business meetings and wedding parties, its amazing food and service keeps people coming back again and again. Its menu continues to evolve and impress. Highlights are: Oven roasted, andouille encrusted monchong, Fennel dusted Japanese mero seabass, Wood fire grilled Certified Angus Beef® ribeye steak or Wood fire grilled Navarino elk tenderloin. In the lounge, Hinterland offers a more bar friendly menu featuring Kobe beef sliders with garlic French fries; chicken pad thai; Baja fish tacos; and elk meatloaf with mashed potatoes.

"This place looks so unassuming from the outside, but once inside the ambiance is something special. Everyone was so pleasant and it had great music playing. My wife and I were seated next to the fireplace which was perfect since it was a cold, rainy evening. The server ensured that we never felt rushed to make a decision, yet we never had empty glasses. She did a great job. The menu changes daily, but it was updated on the website as well (don't you hate it when the website menu is different than when you arrive?). The cherry wheat beer and Cosmo martini were both great. The food was exceptionala and savory. I rated the noise as moderate because the tables are pretty close together so you can easily hear the conversation next to you."

"We ate in the lounge, it was very loud. The table we sat at did not have an overhead light, it was dark, I had to use my brightest flashlight app to read the menu. The food and service was wonderful. Went for our son's twenty third birthday, he and his girl friend also enjoyed the meals.

"Hinterland came highly recommended from several of my clients. My husband and I were celebrating our five year wedding anniversary, so I booked our reservation online. I noted in the reservation it was our anniversary. When we got there we were greeted kindly and said we had a seat next to the beautiful wood burning fireplace. From the hand mulled old fashions and great wine list to the appetizers and entrees we were blown away. To top it off we got a complimentary dessert. So amazing. The knowledge our server had on the food was great. I would go back there again for a special event. I didn't want our experience to end."

"My wife and I had an amazing dinner here on Friday, 3/22/13. We loved the decor, which is somewhat industrial, and lucked out with a table in front of the wood-burning fireplace.
Service was prompt and attentive and also quite friendly and relaxed.
We chose to share a number of appetizers, rather than go for full entrees. This is definitely the best way to enjoy their diverse selection of dishes. We especially enjoyed the Navarino Farms Elk meatballs, which were served in a hearty mushroom sauce with fresh pea shoots atop. Also, to die for was the Pork Belly, served on a bed of cheddar grits.
We shared 5 appetizers, and only had room for 1 dessert. $100 pre-tip, for an incredible meal and drinks - as good as any in bigger cities."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Asked for fireside seating for two and enjoyed that. Our waiter, (Tim or Tom), was very knowledgeable about the menu, wine list etc. A great explanation about menu items is good for sales and adds class to an establishment, in my opinion. Our waiter was passionate about many things, especially his 40 Acre farm. tell him we know of a blueberry farm here in the U.P. for sale."

"What a great little place. Traveling for work in Green Bay, I was looking for something local, but was really in the mood for seafood. They did not disappoint. The almond crusted ono was fabulous. They also use fruit and vegetable from local, sustainable farms, which was an added bonus. It was snowing outside and we were seated right next to the cozy fireplace. I can't wait to go back to Green Bay so I can eat there again."
