We all love the feeling that anything can happen. And Society is a totally unexpected kind of Yaletown dining lounge. Here, opposites will come together to create all-new pleasures. Comfortable meets chic. Warmth meets undeniable cool. Light humour meets dark sensuality. This is a place where anything can happen.
"Few customers during our visit due to early dinner time. Excellent service and tasty food. Dessert was also a tasty bite. Quiet, relaxing patio on an early Sunday evening."

"Was so looking forward to trying Society but the whole thing (with the exception of a charming server) was just awful. We arrived at 7 and the restaurant was almost empty but the music was blaring. We started off with the fun sounding cotton candy drinks which were really just a horrible mess, no wonder they cover the tables in brown paper, perhaps a little more drink and a little less cotton candy would work better. The real disappointment was the food, it ranged from just ok to almost inedible (the short rib crostini). I would go back again for drinks on the patio because of the great service, but wouldn't eat there again."

"We had a blast here! We went early before a Canuck's game and so they were not very busy yet. The food was really fun and the milkshakes were even more fun. If you're looking for healthy food though this is NOT the place. The service was great as well and we had a great experience with our server and hosts. Fave milkshake: Root Beer Float, Fave food: root veggie nachos, Fave Extra: Houss-made cotton candy!"

"Society has been one of my favorite comfort food go to places since it opened. We took my cousin from out of town here to try it out and she loved it too. My experience was somewhat soured because the hostess, upon me arriving and telling her that i had a reservation under marilyn for three made under open table, told me "okay, are u sure that it is not under angela or melissa?" I think i know my name....I told her again my name and that i booked under open table to which she replied she had no idea what open table was so couldnt award me the points that I was asking for. She said she would check with the manager about open table and came up to our table a few minutes later to say her manager doesnt know open table either. Not cool."

"It was a slow Sunday night maybe because the oscars were on? But the service remained top notch. The manager even switched the large projector screen to a more kid friendly show, seeing we brought along our two kids. A special surprise awaited for the kids... Cotton candy!!!"

original concept and menu. really cool look. great service all-around - special props to... "Joel" or "Josh" (can't quite remember), also our server (tall skinny blonde - can't remember her name). They kept my gf and I's Valentine's Day dinner romantic and perfect.
The alcoholic milkshakes have 1oz of liquor in them. In my personal opinion they could stand to add a half or full ounce more, but they were still tasty and awesome!
As a vegetarian, I think there was only one entree i could order without having to make a substitution - a pasta dish (very typical). In a city like Vancouver with a lot of veggie-minded people, I think Society would benefit from adding another.
Overall - Amazing"

"Overall, it was a fair dining experience, but wished that someone told us that we would be sitting outside in the dead of winter. The heater kept turning off, and we were seated right beside the service station."

"The best dineout restaurant we've been to this year. Wonderful service, great food - well prepared and well presented. A uniquely decorated dining room. Does Vancouver proud."

"Went for dineout vancouver and the overall experience was fair to good. The food was decent, appetizer was a fair size, entree was really TINY and dessert was large.Kind of odd sizing, wouldn't you think. The noise in the dining room was SO NOISY, can't even hear the waitress or our company when we're talking, that we asked to sit outside. That was SOOO much better! The service was SOOO slow that the maitre'd had to approach us to apologize. Had to constantly ask for ice water and our courses were a long wait in between. The waitress even forgot to ask us if we wanted coffee or tea with our dessert and the port we ordered never came with our dessert until I had to ask.Food was decent, small, but would still recommend to friends."

"The food was pretty good. I had a delicious salad with roasted apples, blue cheese and walnuts. The sticky toffee pudding while very sweet was quite good. The server was very friendly and the manager (I'm assuming) went around the the tables to interact with the guests. If you are looking for a party type place with fun music then you'll probably enjoy this spot. However, if you are looking to be able to carry on a conversation with your dining partner without yelling, you may want to pick a different place to enjoy a meal."

"The restaurant wasn't what we expected at all. I actually phoned prior to ask about ambiance, left a message with a return number to call and did not receive a response. Unfortunately we proceeded with the reservation and were disappointed. We were looking for a new restaurant to try and did an early dinner followed by a show. We realized it was not a "early dinner" type of restaurant but more of a late night, younger crowd type of place. If it wasn't raining we would have left and maybe try The Flying Pig or go to one of my mother's favorite places: Global.
The food was fair, although the service was exceptional. They really tried to make it work for us."

"Excellent Dine out Vancouver menu. Salmon with beans was so delicious, as best home-cooking. Service was welcoming and efficient as always. Wine paring was also very good, especially with the desert."
