"Bann never disappoints. The food is always fresh and well-prepared. They offer many dishes beyond usual Korean fare. We were running late for the theater this visit and they made sure our party of four was in and out in less than an hour without compromising food or service."

"So embarrassed & disappointed that a Korean restaurant didn't provide the banchan with the meal only 3 items ( kimchee, broccoli & pickled radish). If you want good Korean food, head to 32nd st. What a waste of time & money to try something new. Good service though."

"I was very upset when Woo Lae Oak closed down. So you can imagine my excitement when I found out this was their sister restaurant with a very similar menu. The host even came from Woo Lae Oak! The glass noodles are the absolute best. You can cook your food on your own personal hibachi. But after that novelty wears off, you can just have the kitchen cook your food"

"I always take my friends here before Broadway shows. The flavors are authentic Korean in an upscale setting. Go for the bbq cooked at your table, the meats are marinated deliciously and every bite is delicious!"

"We dine at Bann several times a year. The food is consistently good, if you know what you are ordering. Korean food, as with many ethnic dishes, is prepared with a variety of spices and seasonings, with varied degrees of "hot." We shared a Dol Sot Bi Bap (hot sauce on the side, because to me it is really spicy) and short ribs. Both were excellent. The service was excellent, as usual. I would suggest asking the kitchen to prepare the the dish unless you are expert at barbecuing at the table."

"This was my first time doing Korean BBQ and I loved it. The marinated ribeye was delicious and easy to cook. It was fun to cook the food as you ate and delicious. I will be going back."

"Authentic flavors with a modern twist. I loved the ddukbokki, the sea bass kimbab roll, and the salmon bbq. Everything was yummy and the service is always great. Looking forward to my next visit!"

"We went to Bann for lunch before going to a nearby theater Sunday Matinee. We had little experience with Korean food and looked at the various online reviews before we came. The restaurant was not particularly full. Our fellow patrons contisted of family goups and some solo diners. There was only one waiter, though busy, was most pleasant and quite helpful showing us how the bbq worked and describing the side dishes. We ordered and shared the cellophane noodles with meat to begin with and then shared a "small" sized plate of two types of meat, shrimp, onions, and red pepper to bbq. For the two of us, bbqing our meal was fun but somewhat labor intensive. The food was delicious and it was worth the effort."

"Bann offers a unique Korean barbecue experience that is both delicious and makes for a fun evening. We ordered the full course for 4 people for $110 and were served a tremendous amount of food that had been pre-marinated and which we then cooked ourselves on the grill that was imbedded in our table. There was shrimp, salmon, duck, and three kinds of beef - all delicious. Plus a salad and rice of course. The restaurant itself is very attractive with its wooden tables, chairs, floors and walls. A very warm feeling. For something a bit different and good eating, I would certainly recommend Bann."

"Delicious Korean food in a lovely, modern, decor and surroundings. We ate early before a 7PM theatre. The resaurant was lively and full before we left. The built in BBQ is always fun to do yourself, and the tastes of the food are varied, fresh, and delicious. Service was attentive, friendly, helpful and not at all overbearing. We will return."

"The "hum" near the window left us guessing that there may be a subway line beneath the place. Other than that and having to wait an inordinate amount of time for one of three entrees, the place was great. The vegan in our bunch found it easy to eat here. Another in our group does not like Korean food, but loved the food here. That says it all."

"My mouth still waters thinking of the food at Bann. Our waiter was also extremely accommodating of vegetarian preferences, and he made sure to bring us our food quickly so that we wouldn't be late for our Broadway show. The only reason I can't give the service an "Outstanding" is because we had to wait twenty minutes or so to be seated, even though we had made a reservation through OpenTable. That made me extremely nervous about our Broadway show, and it made our meal a bit rushed."

"A unique experience with cooking the authentic korean barbecue. Waiter was friendly and helpful. Had to wait for 20 minutes even with the reservation, though. Price was right for a NYC restaurant. Will do at least one more time."

"The Bul Go Gi Buns appetizer was amazing, So delicious. The Barbeque was also very good, but you have to cook it yourself on a small table grill. Still very tasty, but not my idea of going out to dinner. Wait staff was very attentive. If you use the coupon from groupon be prepared to be confused when you get your bill. There was only two of us and they included the gratuity. Als because you essentially get two bills which makes it difficult to see how the coupon was deducted and how much gratuity was added. Still a great place place with a calming type atmosphere."

"I was new to Korean bar-b-q and the waiter was very helpful in explaining the process and helping us select the best menu items for our introduction. We had a fairly short timeframe due to theatre - he made sure we got our food quickly so that we could enjoy the meal without feeling pressed.
Food was delicious. Try the Korean potato vodka."

"Considering what you get this was all a bit on the pricey side. That's not to say that the whole experience was not enjoyable it just isn't really worth the money."

"We had 6 people for dinner Saturday after a matinee performance of Avenue Q, which is next door to Bann. At first we were a bit confused by the menu and how to order, but the waiter made several suggestions, and we asked about portion sizes etc. We got the Korean BBQ with Beef, Tuna, Scallops and mushrooms, also Calamari app and Korean pancake, and a noodle dish, suggested by the waiter. Everything we got including the Korean sake was excellent; the biggest rave was for the mushrooms we grilled. Great dining experience if you like sharing from a large assortment of food, we would definitely recommend this restaurant"

"Just about the average Korean food, but the ambiance is good. Not traditional Korean food as Koreans would expect, but its more like American-friendly Korean"

"The food is wayyyyy too salty! If they cut down on the mega amounts of sodium, it actually has a chance to be very good. Understaffed which leads to slow & spotty service. The side dishes for my entree came out 15 minutes before my entree was even served. Thus, I had cold side dishes with my entree. I "might" go back IF (and it's a BIG if) they got their act together & tossed the salt shaker in the trash."

"I had a great time at Bann. I will highly recommend Bann to my friends and those who are fans of Korean cuisine.
The servers were friendly and pleasant. The chef sat us at our table. It was a great post Valentine's Dinner and not too far from the theater that we were on our way to go to."

"Came here for V-day. Pre -Fixe menu was already set which was perfect! Food was just ok but the atmosphere was wonderful! Loved cooking at the table & it was very romantic. Drinks were delish! Not sure I would come back here but will definitely be adding Korean BBQ to food I want to try more of!"
