"Dined on a busy Saturday night - Cinco de Mayo. Arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation, but we were still seated no more than 5 minutes after our reservation time (very nice). Good drink selection (had a great Guava Mojito). Entree portions were large and had good flavor (had the Havana pork and the Combo paella). Tried the coconut rum flan for dessert. At first glance it seemed a little small, but was tasty and ended up being just right, since we were already full from the entrees! It definitely was noisy upstairs (for conversation), but overall, had a great experience and would go back to try new entrees."

"Had reservations for Cinco de Mayo. Started with mojitos - delicious. I ordered the carne asada and it was good. My friend ordered the halibut and would have appreciated a heads-up from our server about how spicy the sauce was. The fish itself was wonderful. The noise volume was incredibly loud. Even though we were sitting across from each other, we had to yell in order to hear each other talk."

"I've been here twice with mixed results. First time I greatly enjoyed my dish - I think a pork one. The sangria was good too. More recently, I ordered the Steak Cubano and found it lacking - too charred on the outside, and the sauce was a bit too sour for me too. The ceviche appetizer was very refreshing, but was styled more like salsa than ceviche."

"We were very pleased with this restaurant. The Mojitos were excellent and the food was even better. They have a very nice selection on the menu from vegetarian to steak. I would recommend the house specialties. The room is very noisy but fun. If you want quiet ask to be seated down stairs."

"Based on the reviews, we ordered the tequila skirt steak with chimichurri fries which sounded fabulous. The fries were great but I would say that too much of a good thing is too much. I would recommend skipping the tequila skirt steak sauce which was just like a gravy without any tequila flavor, and sticking with the chimichurri sauce for everything. There were too many competing flavors."

"Our first time to Havana but we'd been to Mambo Grill in that space several times and run by the same folks. A lot of the menu items from Mambo remain and the food is overall similar, that is, very good and pretty interesting. We had mixed ceviche, the chipotle ribs with mashed sweet potatoes and the apricot-glazed pork chops. All very good. Service was attentive and helpful. Prices are fair and portions are generous, making a good value. It is quite noisy, so I don't recommend it for large groups."

"Havana was a great find. The food was very good but the pitcher of guava mojitos was amazing!!! We made reservations for 10:30 Saturday night, got there a little early and we were seated right away. It was small but a cozy and warm setting. The service was great, our waiter made great recommendations and our food came prompt. The setting was very nice with great music. About 11:30 they had a live band which was very energetic and played great music. My wife loved it and we had a great night out. Might I add, the prices were very reasonable for the downtown area too. I look forward to going again soon."

"I tried Havana with my dad. The food was good, but I have had better cuban food. We started with the pollo empanadas which were absolutely fantastic. The pastry around the empanadas was perfectly crusty and delicious. I had the steak cubano and my dad had the chipolte pork chops. I have to say that the steak cubano was cooked perfectly, but lacked in delicious seasoning that cuban food is known for. It was weirdly sweet, but I enjoyed the onions on top and the beans that accompanied. The pork chops were a little chewy, and again, lacked the cuban seasoning I love so much. By far, the empanadas and mojitos were great, but the entrees were only good."

"The waiter was slightly difficult to understand but more than made up for this with a great personality and really providing top notch service. I felt like I was being completely taken care of without having someone there every second of the meal. The food was very good using fresh ingredients. "I went there last night. I had the "Jalea de Mariscos" and LOVED it! This was a dish full of mussels, shrimp, talapia, and scallops in a coconut cream sauce with rice. This was the best meal I've had in a long time! On a Saturday night at 7 PM this place was packed and loud, but it was a nice atmosphere and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Good service too."

"I chose Havana as my birthday destination and was not disappointed. Yes, it was crowded and yes, it was loud but the food and drinks were delicious and I appreciated the vibrant atmosphere. So looking forward to my Ropa Viejo leftovers."

"Second time we've come here. Were seated right away on a Friday night. Had the chicken empanadas, Cuban sandwich and a seafood dish with toast. All very outstanding with flavors melding together to form a delightful balance of salty, creamy, spicy but never overwhelming. Had a pitcher of mojitos (1/2 price Fridays). We try to return whenever in Cnicago. It is very noisy but lends to a vibrant, fun evening for its patrons."

"This place was one of my wife's favoritest when it was Mambo Grill and we liked it just as much now as Havana. It may not be exclusively Cuban but I see that as a plus since the food options were great. The caipirinhas and mojitos were awesome and certainly not watered down. There is live music starting at 11:30 on Fri and Sat nights."

"Great Food. Special request to substitute rice and black beans for Jalapeno mashed potatoes with the pulled pork entre was a roaring success with fantastic presentation. Suggest the menu item should come with rice and black beans to be more authentic. Their Cuban Sandwich was also "off the hook." Great dining experience."

"We went to Havana for Valentines Day. When we arrived, the valet was no where to be found; we waited at least 10m. Decided to drive around and park in the garage across the street - Greenway; you can book online and get the $8 discount; did it from my phone. Once we finally got it, the restaurant was fun and vibrant; latin music playing the background. It took our waitress a few minutes to get to us; it was pretty crowded, so we didn't mind. Long story short - food was delicious! Though my husband was disappointed they ran out of the ribs. The mojitos were really good. We had the chocolate cake for dessert - just OK. We would definitely go back."

"We went on Valentine's Day and the music was far too loud. While we wanted an energetic environment and appreciated the Latin music, the 800 watt speaker right next to our table and the DJ blaring music in the small downstairs room really inhibited conversation.

"The wait staff were very friendly, always smiling. Our waitress always had something to recommend but wasn't pushy. Funny and sweet, brought out dessert for my brothers birthday and we didn't even have to ask. Food was very good. We had the pulled pork, stuffed peppers and a seafood/shell fish mix. All very good. A lot of flavor. They were on the sweeter side for main dishes but I still enjoyed the pulled pork. Good prices for the area. Definitely would go back. FYI we went on a monday night, not sure what weekends are like. The bar was very nice, long with back mirrors, comfotable seats. And we found street parking for two cars on the same block as the restaurant."
