"I've just started eating plant strong a month ago and Pure had the perfect menu for my new lifestyle. I wanted everything on the menu! The chips and guacamole were amazing, delicious, rich crepes, and the falafel salad was also fantastic- and huge! I took half home and ate it for dinner."

"Really good food (maybe 10% overpriced) and an experience (everything is raw! but tastes awesome!) Was really looking forward to this.
I had to get up and find our server 3 times. Staff kept putting the wrong hardware on the table for the course we were getting. Left us without drinks for 20 minutes at a time. Took 3 hours front to back."

"I'm a raw vegan from Seattle and this food was prepared and presented at a level I've never experienced before. The food was art! The atmosphere chic and vibrant. The staff was welcoming and professional and most important, we never felt rushed and the room was packed!

"I feel like we eat at Pure Food and Wine once a month, although it is probably more like six times a year. We always love the food! However, on this trip I found the hostess to have a bit of an unecessary attitude and we were seated next to the door to the patio. It was a cold night plus they had some kind of an AC unit blowing air into the restaurant and onto our table. We will absolutely go back often, but hope they focus some renewed attention on the finer points of service."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! My partner is definitely a meat eater, and he went into the meal insisting that we would have to get him a steak afterwards, but by the time dessert came, he was already full!
The portions were generous - larger than I had expected (especially for the price!) -- and everything was fantastic. I've been gluten-free and dairy-free for several years now (allergies), and soy-free for a few months (by choice), so it is rare that I am able to find restaurants that not only satisfy my requirements, but offer a delicious and exciting menu that satisfies my taste buds. The ice cream and the ricotta were both particularly excellent.
My thanks, too, to the wonderful staff for their warmth and hospitality!"

"I loved this place, it had a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere.
The Lasagne was very tasty and the fig starter that my friend had was the best starter she had ever tasted! I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone who just simply loves food! "I loved the fact that this restaurant sits on a quieter street of the city. The uniqueness of the organic raw menu was experienced to a far greater degree by trying the five course tasting menu. "Such creative and delicious food, not to mention drinks. The desserts were truly awe-inspiring, I had the mint sundae and the ice cream was somehow creamier than regular non-raw ice cream. The vegetable lasagna was so flavorful and delicious even though I was a little nervous when I first saw it. My friend's Hen of the Woods dish was also delicious. The deck was open and, although my group decided to sit inside, the outdoor seating looked so romantic and peaceful, like a little oasis in the city. Inside was beautiful and somehow spacious feeling. The servers were so attentive and kind. I was impressed by how unpretentious it was especially conisdering we were a group of unimpressive young twenty something's. Such a great place!"

"The food was very creative, tasty, and surprisingly filling. I brought my meat and potatoes boyfriend here and he loved it as well. Raw, vegan food may take some getting used to if it's your first time. The backyard is super cute, but a kareoke bar next door kind of ruins the mood if you're on a date. Overall a really great experience. Service and wine list also a plus. The pink sangria was a little too fruity for me but I saw some great sustainable wines on the list!"

"This was our first time eating raw food and went there pretty sceptical. The food was amazing the different textures and flavors were unique and surprising I had the lasagna and the macadamia pumpkin seed ricotta was delicious a d the texture do remained me of milk ricotta. The service was attentive without being obnoxious. Would definetly eat there again. The only reason I didn't give it all five stars was the noise level. All hard surfaces makes it hArd to hear."

We struck up a conversation with The couples sitting next to us. The tables are very close together. It is always a treat to talk about being vegan with others who are interested! "The food was OK. We went for lunch, it was VERY LOUD. Not energetic loud, but everyone around us was shouting at the person across the table in order for folks to hear. I prefer a quieter atmosphere. The server was professional and pleasant. I was disappointed in the overall experience given the reviews I had read on opentable and tripadvisor. It was just OK, nothing special. I don't think I would go back again, given we found other really great vegan restaurants in the city."

"Just possibly the best vegan restaurant we have ever eaten at! We ordered the chef's selection and we were bowled over. Two vegans and two omnivores at the table and all were not only completely satisfied at the 100% vegan meal, but amazed! The wine selection and price were also stellar. An excellent evening and we will return!!"

"This pricy haunt ($400. for 4) stands on the shoulders of its handsome predecessor, Verbena, and was overpriced for what we received. My passion fruit & star fruit sake tasted like fruited water, and was visually Plain Jane. Friends' drinks--bartender recommended--included balsamic reduction and sake and was undrinkable to one of the two who ordered it. The mojito was better.
The pear ravioli appetizer wasn't ravioli in any way, tasted darkly off and didn't hold together. Entrees were gross rather than subtle to the palate. Flavors did not meld. "Lasagne" (layered raw vegetables) was elementary, with many pockets of two pastes--one pesto and one tomato--that hung out of it in discrete globs, unincorporated and inedible. Yuck."

"One lunch was excellent, the other not so good. Crepe lunch dish was very small, and sweet for an entree. Was not a good choice. Consequently, asked to supplement with a side salad, and we were told not Possible. We were told that the only option was "very large" luncheon salad. that seemed rigid to us. Companion felt she would not go out of her way to return. My choice of almond crust quiche which came with a small salad was very good, and based on MY experience, I would be likely to return. All staff were very courteous."

"I went to dinner with a friend of mine and we shared the cheese platter appetizer, then she had the zucchini lasagna & I had the Hen of the Woods Tacos. Everything we ate was surprising and delicious! I'm definitely coming back."

"We came for a special dinner with our daughter, who lives in Manhattan.
And it truly was special.
From the Pear Ravioli to the Ice Cream Sundaes,
the food was as good as we have eaten, anywhere.
The service was excellent, and the staff was incredibly
knowledgeable about everything on the menu,
and about the restaurant. We had to buy the
cookbook, because we couldn't let this experience
end with our trip to New York.
And it truly was special.

"I could not believe how innovative and delicious the food is! Who knew raw food could be so fascinating? Everything was fresh and flavorful, and I can't wait to go back. The service was pleasant, friendly, and attentive -- from the hostesses to the bartender and our server. We were lucky enough to be in the private room, so it was great for conversation. While it was too cold to eat in the garden out back, the space is beautiful and probably perfect for a warm evening. I cannot recommend this place enough!"
