"Our reservations were for 7PM and we were seated immediately The waiter was there to ask us for drinks and very helpful in answering our questions. The food was prepared with our requests and came out hot and quite tasty. Everyone smiled and you could tell they were enjoying their jobs that evening."

"We went to Sangiovese for Mother's Day/Our Anniversary this year. We had never been before. I went out on a limb and got something I like, but usually don't get (veal marsalla) and my husband had the ravioli special. We had our 3.5 year old and 7 month old with us. They do not have a childrens menu, but could do any of the pastas as a half order. I could see that other than Mothers Day, it would be a better experience without kids. Both meals were delicious and the service flowed nicely. I can't wait to try it again without the kids and actually enjoy a quiet meal there!"

"I'm a regular at Sangiovese. It is by far my favorite restaurant. The serves are polite, friendly, and well versed with the menu. My experience there has always been excellent. The food is absolutely wonderful. Chris is very interactive with guests and has a great staff!
Although children are welcome, I feel the atmosphere is more conducive to an adult clientle."

"My husband and I had a wonderful dinner. We went on a Sunday which seems to be a really slow night for them. I had one of their specials - a crab and lobster stuffed ravioli in a spicy red sause - it was fantastic. And the Pama Rama martini was yummy too. Our waiter was adorable. Our only hesitation was that it was a little too dark. I liked that the room was pretty dark but the candles on the table should have been a little brighter so that we could have seen each other a bit better while we were talking. One of the couple at another table snagged an additional candle from an empty neighboring table which made us think we weren't alone in our desire for just a little more light."

"We went for Valentines Day last night. The music trio was right next to use (we agreed to sit there) so the noise was energetic, but beautiful! I had the Linguini Frutti De Mare (linguine with shrimp and mussels) and my wife had a chicken pasta dish. sThe sauce on my meal was excellent, tangy and spicy. The portion size was fine. My wife could not finish her meal, there was quite a bit, and she also commented on the great taste and texture of her meal. The bruchetta appetizer was outstanding. Service was average. They were not that busy (we arrived at 8:45 pm) but the service was slow. 15 minutes to get our appetizer. We were sitting 10 minutes before service started. We were not told of the specials, an oversight. Good food!"

"This continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in Indianapolis, for lots of reasons. The food is always good and of repeatable quality. While we often order from the menu, this night we elected the specials, both of which were well prepared. The staff was made aware of our need to be finished by a certain hour, and respected that by preparing and serving our meals in a non-hurried, but timely fashion. Chris Evans, the owner, is always good for the proper wine recommendation to accompany the meal."
