We ate at the one in Walnut Creek, Ca but were very disappointed, At the one near the Harbor everything was awesome. "My wife and I went here for my birthday (we're in our early 30's). We shared the lobster bisque, and RC makes one of the best in town! She got the filet and I had the ribeye; both were absolutely amazing!! Great flavor as always, and very tender. For our side we couldn't decide between the garlic mashed potatoes and the au gratin potatoes, so our waiter hooked us up with au gratin mashed potatoes...they were delicious! I didn't expect them to do anything for my birthday, but they were nice enough to bring out a strawberry cheesecake that had an oreo cookie crust. It was absolutely incredible. I don't know if that's on their normal menu or just for special occasions, but when we go back again, we're definitely getting it!"

"Our grown family of 6 went to Ruth's to celebrate Mother's Day last Saturday nite. They originally tried to seat us in a back banquet type room full of tables of anywhere from 8-20+ people. We asked to be re-seated and they kindly seated us in the main dining room. While the food and service were nearly excellent, the ambience was lacking. I believe much of this was due to the feeling that there were several extra tables added to handle the crowds which really affects the overall experience. In addition, because of the nature of the menu (and the awesome food) everything is a la carte, so there are many plates on the table which is way too small to accommodate them. Fewer, larger tables would mean 2 more stars for ambience!"

"My husband and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary and it seems that this is our special celebration restaurant since we go almost every year for our anniversary. My only issue was that they had run out of their famous corn pudding so we ordered another dish instead. The food is consistently superb and the we even got to see the sunset. Great evening!"

"was just not up to par this time. We've been to several of Ruth's Chris' locations, and have been to this one quite a few times over the years whenever we're in town. The food and service are usually outstanding. However, the service was not up to Ruth's Chris' usual high standards this time around. Although our server, Ricca, was very nice, she was inexplicably inattentive, especially since it wasn't busy at the time. We've come to know what to expect from Ruth's Chris. The long wait to order everything including getting our check, would not have been acceptable at any other restaurant. Definitely not here. I really hope the quality of service returns to what it used to be, to what it should be."

"We were very, very thankful to have our Sin cake! We have been going there for many years. Missed out Sin cake for a couple of events. We told them.....and they brought the Sin cake bake just for our family. Now, steak......the best around! I went on a funky diet and occasionally have a free day. The filet was out of this world!!!! Wife and most of the kids (adults) had filet or NY. We all walked away very satisfied and very, very happy with the great steak!!!! Will we go back? Heck yes!!!! I forgot to mention, what does steak and Sin cake have in common? Both go great with red wine!"

"Ruth's Chris has some of the best steak I've ever had and a choice of sauces--very high marks for all of their beef. Interestingly their side dishes don't live up to the meat. The spinach au gratin was creamed spinach with a slab of cheese melted on top, as was the potato au gratin--mediocre at best. The broiled tomatoes were cold (perhaps they were intended to be?) Choose your side dishes carefully. The service was faultless and the wine list superb. This is a very noisy restaurant--don't go expecting to talk much with your tablemates since sound bounces around the room. Beautiful view at sunset and an abundance of sparkling lights reflecting off the water."

"Made reservations through open table for 7:45 pm. Did not get seated until 8:05 pm. Server was friendly but the length of time between ordering and receiving appetizers and dinner was a unacceptable amount of time. Food was adequate. Steaks looked like something I would buy at grocery store. Vegetables were not very good, lacked flavor. Will not choose to return to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse."

"We love to come to this place, because we are treated so well. The food is amazing, and the setting is very comfortable and relaxing. We sat near the window, looking out at the Harbor. "This is typically one of our favorite places to dine, but this trip was a let down from a service perspective. We had brought our kids this time which they helped by bringing their food early for them, but we were having to ask for refills on the waters, the kids had to wait to eat their ice cream because they delivered it with no spoons.
We had to wait to have the plates cleared, and just overall not what we normally experience at this venue.

"The service is always impeccable here. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable on every item including the wine list. I had the seabass stuffed with crab which was scrumptuous and my fiance had the surf & turf which never disappoints. The restaurant is always lively and can be considered "too loud" at times, but I enjoy the energy of the chatter! I've honestly never disliked anything I've ever tried here and have been coming for years!"

"The food was impeccable as always. I had my favorite Jordan Cab as usual, and it was completely perfect. My server, Tyler however was not. His appearance was a little sloppy and unkempt for such a high-end place. It was Restaurant Week, so maybe he was a little tired of all the 'regular' people coming in. He also disappeared for about 25 minutes. I thought that was odd. I was waiting a very long time to ask for something simple. The experience was good, and I will always recommend. The service though seems to be hit or miss pretty often."
