The farm-fresh ingredients of today and the cuisine of yesteryear come together at 1913. Named after the year the hotel was founded, 1913 offers a unique localy and regionally sourced menu - prepared from archived recipes that were popular in the Midwest in the early 1900's but with a modern twist.
"I would highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic dinner. The staff is phenomenal and well trained and the manager Raju is very responsive to your needs. The Omni is where I will be staying for all my business trips to the Indianapolis area and 1913 will be my destination for a productive dinner with clients."

"I found this restaurant on Open Table at the last minute when traveling and needed to book a loose business dinner. Located in the historic Omni Severin hotel gave it a very nice and classy ambience. Menu is fresh and creative farm-to-table selection. The choices were diverse -- the appetizers and entrees were excellent, tasty and very creative and the salads were large and satisfying. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals and there was more than enough food. The wine and beer menu was very good, and while the food service was very good, there was no wine service to speak of. Overall, if you are not in the mood for a steakhouse in Indy, I would recommend 1913."

"Good (albeit expensive) experience for Easter brunch, however it took three attempts to get our bill corrected before we were able to pay for our meal."

"I really enjoyed this little gem after all the awful convention food. Delicious, affordable, and love the freshness of all the dishes!!!! Will certainly go back when I'm in town for the next conference! Thx open table for leading me to this great place!"

"This was my first time at 1913 Restaurant. I am thrilled to report that I had a wonderful lunch! The first thing I liked was the free valet parking. Then, the room is beautiful, elegant, and sophisticated, but warm and welcoming. The service was superb. I was there for lunch, and had the ham & cheese sandwich. Who knew a simple ham & cheese could be that good?! The fries were a bit too limp and greasy for my taste, but now I know to just get the chips. It cost a bit more than I usually pay for lunch, but I will definately add this restaurant to my lunch rotation and happily recommend it."

"They served a special Valentines Day menus. Most of it we liked very much and a couple of things we didn't. The waiter was very attentive and moved dinner along quite nicely. The five sampling dessert for each of us was great. Total price was a bit steep but it was Valentines Day, after all."

"It is open to the lobby of the Omni Hotel, with a mixed clientele including folks from the hotel because it is convenient. You can, of course, ask for a table further from the entrance and bar if you would like. It may seem counter-intuitive today to go to a hotel to look for high quality dining, and yet in 1913, that would certainly be a place to consider.
The food was excellent and unique. Atmosphere was nice. It was quiet. After dinner, my wife and I sat in the beautiful lobby to talk and relax. Unfortunately we were unable to stay for the night, which we would have loved. Look forward to going again sometime."

"Tried for Devour Downtown. The food was good and the portions were generous. They're was a miscommunication with staff so we didn't have service for about the first 10 minutes we were there, but we weren't in a hurry at all and were enjoying our drink we grabbed at the bar prior to our reservation. It's amazing to be able to just pull up and have your valet parking AND validated!"

"All the food was prepared very well. The steak was flavorful and cooked exactly as ordered and the trout was the best I'd ever had. While the specialty cocktails take time to prepare the Rum Hum Cobbler was one of the best drinks I've ever had, terrific! The wine list provided a lot of options."

"Went with a group of 6 during Devour Downtown and we all chose from this menu. My tomato soup was excellent, and I'm not a big soup fan. Then my filet, sides and sugar cream pie were all really good but not terribly special. Wouldn't pay more than I did ($30) I wouldn't go there other than restaurant weeks. Was not thrilled to be charged auto 20% tip for a "large" group since I found our waiter to be lacking. For a $4 soda I expect a refill, and plates being cleared quickly. The food was just as good as St. Elmo's or Ruth's Chris, but there is NO ambiance. It's the same room as the hotel's morning buffet and you can see the breakfast bar and stack of plates the whole time. There's no history, nothing to look at, just nothing."

"We enjoyed our first time at 1913 Restaurant and will be back again soon. The food was absolutely delicious, modern and creative. Our server was obviously inexperienced and in need of a bit more training, but we're pretty easy-going and expect it'll be better the next time we go."

"The food was VERY creative and DELICIOUS! Our group of 3 chose different entrees from the Devour Downtown menu - steak, trout, chicken. All were very tasty. My steak melted in my mouth. Two thumbs up!"

"We enjoyed the farm to table concept. Not only was the produce delicious, but the meals were well conceived and very attractively presented. It's unfortunate the restaurant is hidden within the Omni Severin, where they won't get the foot traffic they deserve. I would recommend everyone to make a trip to 1913 and try the pre-war menu items, and relish the concept."

"The food descriptions sounded more inviting than the food turned out to be. There were high notes, the homemade butter with the complimentary bread was amazing, the green beans were also very tasty. My cousin enjoyed her trout very much. But the pork belly, while mostly very tasty, had too much of its fat layer remaining. It had not rendered out enough. The apricot glaze was good. Our table server was very nice and attentive, but the matre d' was a bit stiff and frowned when we said we were dining for the Devour 2013 menu. The decor didn't seem to fit the food either. The local foods touted on the menu were presented a bit out of character, as if the restaurant were embarrassed of Hoosier food. And the generic hotel decor didn't fit at all."

"A group of six went during Devour Downtown. We were all very pleased with the food and service. From the fix price menu, I selected the Butternut Squash Carpaccio for the first course, the Pork Belly for my entre and the Stirred Barn Raiser for my dessert. There was an explosion of delicious flavor when I ate in the Carpaccio. The pork belly melted in my mouth and the Barn Raiser was just the right amount to give you a nice finish to a great meal. I did review their regular menu it appears that they are locally sourcing a lot of their meats. It is a great place for comfort foods with a foodie twist. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The only drawback I could see is the atmosphere. For a group dinner great, romantic not so much."

"Food was absolutely fresh, well prepared & presented. Server was attentive & helped us w/menu selections. Would not have eaten here had it not been for Devour Downtown event. Will definitely return now that we know how good it is. Especially appreciated the valet parking."

"We were warmly greeted by the hostess, seated and provided a menu upon our arrival. The service was great throughout and the food was absolutely amazing! I would say our meal was by far the best meal we have had in Indy in the past year...and we have eaten at nice places like The Eagles Nest, St Elmo's, and Eddie Merlot's. The steak we ate on Saturday was so flavorful and well seasoned along with the green beans and potatoes. The apple crisp was very good as well. We had a great experience and wonderful meal. 1913 is now one of my most favorite restaurants!"
