"The food, as always, was outstanding. The service was not up to normal expectations. We had an early reservation so the restaurant was barely half full when we arrived. there were 4 "hostesses" chatting amongst themselves. We were told they'd be right with us and 5 minutes later - after continuing to chat, one of them showed us to our table. The server was pretty "unattentive" and her table crew even more so. empty cocktail glasses remained on the table until the GG came around and removed them. The server brought the bill before the dessert arrived..........

With the competition out there, old Ruth needs to step it up. I like the steaks better than Flemings or Morton's, but both beat Roth when it cmes to service."

"My median-rare steak was cooked to medium at best. Didn't realize this until half-way done with the stead. Carpaccio. Dessert was ok. Would not recommend getting the prix fixe menu because selection is better and just a little more money."

"It was a great evening. I don't frequent restaurants of this caliber very often so take my next statement with a grain of salt. I thought their environment and ambiance was fantastic. There was one fairly loud group (well, one lady in particular) but it wasnt distracting and their group didn't seem to be on the same page as the rest of the patrons, anyway.

Our waitress, Shelley, was superb. She was very friendly and could tell I wasn't too familiar with the upscale dining experience but didn't make me feel like a too big a novice. (This was especially important as I was trying to impress my date) ;-)

I enjoyed the ribeye and chardonnay. The ribeye was a perfect medium-rare and wine was at a very reasonable price."

"My husband and I celebrated our 27th anniversary at Ruth Chris on Friday night, March 12th. Although we've dined there many times before, and have always been extremely pleased with everything, this night was exceptional! We had to wait about 20 minutes past our reservation, and the manager came and said how sorry he was that we had to wait and that they would give us a free appetizer for the trouble. How thoughtful, and by the way, the barbeque shrimp is delicious! Our server, Michael, was the best, and made our dining experience even more special. Next time we dine there, we will request him as our server. We will definitely tell our friends that this is one of our favorite restaurants and highly recommend it. Can't wait to go back!"

"Gumbo was great. Filet melted like butter on the stove. Creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and filet forged a perfect combination in each bite. The meal and service was outstanding- just be willing to pay for it literally) at the end. On te pricey side, but you get what you pay for. I can't make it a regular spot, but will definitely look forward to it again at some point."

"I was never too much of a steak lover, but wow, the steak was great. It was very tasty especially with a glass of red wine. We had a great distinct time there. "The food was great. I went with two friends and we each tried a bit of three dishes. The stuffed chicken was very moist, the short ribs was very tender and cooked so well that the meat fell off the bones, and the salmon was very flaky and soft. I would highly recommend Ruth's Chris if you enjoy great service, great food, and great ambiance.

Notable experiences: I went during restaurant week and we got our food for a great price!
The waiter was very nice and treated my friend well because it was her birthday."

"Normally love this place the steaks are amazing and service top notch. Made the mistake of going on valentines day were the typical exerience is lost. Seemed as if the focus was on turning tables and fitting as many tables in as possible. I'm sure the steak was preseared as didn't quite seem the amazing quality I've recievedcon the past. The service was still good food came much quicker than usual. I'd recommend this steakhouse just not on a night like valentines."

"I had the ribeye classic meal with steak house salad, sauteed mushroom and carrot cake/chocolate mousse duo. I thought the steak was average but the sauteed mushroom were really good. Our server was a little off, not very attentive, but I saw another server who was very attentive to her guests. It was our first time there and I didn't know I could get a different dessert if I just paid a few more dollars. I don't like carrot cake so I wish that I knew, forgot to ask the waiter but he didn't explain either. I heard another server explain it to another table."

"The meal was very enjoyable and the service pleasant and professional. The only negative was that on New Year's Eve, there seemed to be a hurried quality to our experience, as though we had to quickly eat our meals, in order to make way for future diners that evening."

"I have been to Ruth's Chris on several occasions and have had fabulous sevice as well as incredible food. This time our order came out wrong and had to be returned. As we waited for our main part the rest of the food got cold. It was New Year's Eve and they were incredibly busy. Even though we had reservations we still had to wait 20+ minutes before being seated."

"We were seated in the absolute farthest- smalles last table on top of the waiters station. Table 57? The end of the universe... Service was juvenile and unschooled. It was the first visit for all of us and when the server asked if we had been there before and we said-no. she said NOTHING. No guidance for portions or anything. No time between courses- ordered a $150 bottle of Stags Leap wine with no taste of6 the bottle offered and the bottle emptied at time of pouring- disgraceful. A $500 meal that was a joke. We would have done better going to the California Pizza kitchen next door.

"It was my Mother-in-law's berfday and we were a party of 4 who all had an awesome experience. We booked the table through opentable and advisd them it was for a birthday. When they sat us, all the young ladies in the front greeted her with a happy birthday wish and when we arrived at our table, confetti was thrown all over the table. I think it was a very nice gesture on their part for doing this and they went above and beyond on top of giving to her a birthday candle w/ dessert. The food and service from Karen were amazing! We will look forward to returning soon due to their Fall/Winter $39-$49 price fix menu!"

"My only complaints are that the young lady checking people in, seated several parties before mine and they had come in significantly later then I did and had the same reservation time. I think that particular restaurant needs to re-train their greeting staff. As for the rest, the food was once again awesome. Table side service was also very good. Was a bit loud but manageable."

"We love this restaurant but this reservation was for a party of eight and we were placed in the middle of the room at an odd shaped table that did not allow hardly any room to move your chair. Placing a large group of diners right next to booths and twosomes makes it difficult to keep the noise down while trying to talk across the table. If we do this again, we will for sure request a different setting. The food was fantastic, as always."

"We had the steak and lobster complete mean combo ($54.95) which was excellent. Our server (Bob)was phenomenal! There was a mix-up with my friend's meal, and I asked them to take mine back and keep it warm. Unfortunately, the lobster came out overcooked and had to send it back again. Not a problem for me as the server kept checking in and shared a glass of wine from one of our bottles. Shows how far great service goes to making a potentially negative experience a positive one!"

"Great location, very intimate and soothing. Steaks were great. I got a ribeye which was delightful. Sides were also great. Take advantage of the Ruth's Classics---you get a salad, entree, and dessert for 40 or 50 depending on what type of steak you get. It's a great deal."
