"Great food and great service. The steaks are awesome! Everything is and you have to try the bread pudding. It is the best bread pudding I have ever tasted!!!
The owner and the staff are very friendly and extremely attentive. No wait and no rush. They let you enjoy your meal and they don't try and rush you through to make room for the next seating. I hate that.
This is my favorite place for a special occasion."

"I decided to take my mom here after seeing a special they were having for Mother's Day. As soon as we walked in, we felt welcome (which can be very rare these days). Our server was extremely attentive (I'm sorry I do not recall his name) and the other staff in general were friendly and made sure everything was well without being overbearing. Between the two of us, we ordered the crab cakes, stuffed salmon, small steak, salads, and dessert. All I can say is WOW. While I wasn't a huge fan of the dressing on my ceasar salad, the rest of the food was simply amazing. Concluding the dinner was a trio of desserts which was perfect. I could go on and on about the positives. Loved the white wine flight. Definitely recommend for a special treat!"

"The staff at Carvers is the best.
My 8-year old son is autistic, has trouble sitting still. Everyone is understanding and very helpful.

"The food was great. The bus boy was great; attentive and attitude and smile wonderful.
On the other hand, the waiter was awful. MC D is what his name showed on the ticket. He has a chip on his shoulder, no smile until he presented the check ( I suppose looking for a bigger tip, he deserved none!!!) His attitude was as though we bothered him by disturbing what ever he was doing before we arrived. Twice he was downright rude. The worse server I have seen in many years.
Yes, we will return, but not allow ourselves to be treated like that again. We will make sure someone else serves us."

"My husband and I ate here for our 27th anniversary and had a very nice experience. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner. We were seated by the fire, enjoying a nice quiet table. We both had the coconut encrusted halibut, which was delicious! We also loved the small loaf of bread they served. Our waiter was attentive and right there when we needed him. The only small complaint we had was over the dessert. The waiter said they serve mud pie for anniversaries (which was yummy BTW!) This implied it was complimentary. When we got our bill, it had been added (half price), but a little strange because he intimated it was complementary. That was a minor distraction from the overall amazing dinner and experience we had there."

"The place was great! The food was great as well but a little pricey. It was a nice change from your typical texas roadhouse. It was romantic and quiet though with a great wine list! We had a 25 dollar off coupon which helped with our meal, but we wouldn't go back without one. The total was about 35 dollars more than at most other steakhouses and honesty, the food was exactly the same. Great place, great service, great food but go there if you're willing to pay a little extra for romance and great wine!"

"After all the times at Carver's this time was really disappointing. First, They really changed their Prime Rib... It used to be really Great, best in Valley. Now, I will never order again.. The spices they use have ruined it. One that should never be on meat according to me is Sage. But, my wife can like Sage said the other things on Crust ruined it for her also.. Second, James at first was a great Waiter, however, by Salad time, we were second rate, by the time our dinners arrived, he really did not even speak, just threw down our plates and ran. I ordered another glass of wine someone else brought. We were NEVER asked if our dinners were ok, I would of liked to of asked for another napkin, but,never came around, the same thing with check."

"Haven’t been to Carvers in a while and it’s not what it used to be. We had a filet and prime rib and for the price it wasn’t that spectacular. The quality of meat just doesn’t seem to be there and the filet was cooked very inconstantly. The best part of the meal was the sweet potato and the cheese cake.
We were in a corner and it felt like our waiter forgot about us. When he did attend to us he was kind of rude and rushed. He had a couple of other tables with regulars that he apparently knew and it felt like we were getting in the way of him serving them. We had to flag down another waiter when we were ready to go to get a to go box and the check.
For the quality of food and service it was not worth the price. We won’t be going back soo"

"The lighting was so dark that we could only see a black outline of our waitress. It was too dark. The waitress was very nice, but the restaurant was not busy and the service was very slow. We first received the wrong kind of soup. The waitress took it back but then the soup was barely warm. Then we had ordered a sweet potato and gotten a regular one instead. Again the waitress brought the correct one out for us. Also, we ordered medium prepared stakes and they were more rare. We felt that the food was not great like you might expect for the very, very high prices they are charging. We had a 25.00 coupon but still ended up spending around 70.00 out of pocket just for a very tiny appetizer, two meals, water and no dessert."

"I reserved an early seating as I was still on Eastern Time, which gave me personalized service from Steve in the lounge area. Great selection of wines by the glass at reasonable prices, including a Beringer Knights Valley Cab and Footbolt Shiraz. My Kansas City Strip was perfectly cooked, encrusted in peppercorns but a bit heavy on the whiskey peppercorn sauce. I had to be careful to not eat the entire loaf of crusty bread; I just wish they used regular unsalted butter instead of whipped. I appreciated the moderate helping of shallot mashed potatoes, and the side of mixed roasted veggies. Nice job."

"We ordered appetizers. Then salads and soup were brought. Before the salads were half eaten, our steaks were brought out. There were three different employees serving our table and they all seemed to be eager to move things along too fast. We spent $152 for three people. We had made reservations and the front desk (rudely) asked us to take a seat, then seated everybody in the room and folks that came after us. I had to ask them an ETA on our table. On the way out, we got to pass the beautiful fireplace in an adjoining room. When I asked the reception about it she said they did not use that room because there were not enough servers. They could have easily covered the area with the servers in our area."

"It has been awhile since I last ate here. They use too be one of my favorite stake houses, but this last time it was different. The stake was cool, the mushrooms was too salty. Maybe the cook has changed since the last time."

"Had a very nice time at Carvers. We had a reservation for 7:30 but had to wait for a table for about 15 minutes. We asked if they had a bar that we could wait at but were told that the bar is for the people coming to eat without reservations only. What? We were given a table that looked to be too much in the middle of the room - no privacy. But we were hungry so we took it. It ended up being fine. We couldn't hear the people at the tables around us and didn't feel as if anyone could hear us. The food was very good. Overall we had a very nice dinner. I would recommend it for an adult evening."

"The service is great. I ordered a medium well steak and received a medium or medium rare. It was too rare for me, but I still ate it because we were hungry and did not want to wait. My wife and I like to eat together. If my food was not ready, then her food would get cold while we waited. I ate the edges where it was cooked the way I like."

"My wife and I visited the restaurant to celebrate Valentine's Day and were lucky enough to get a table in a back room. Good, quiet atmosphere. Initial waiter we had was more serious and seemed to just want to get our orders and be done. Back up waiter had more personality and actually helped better our experience. Overall we really enjoyed the night and thought the food was really good."

"We were looking for a great steak and found it at Carver's. I ordered the 12 oz. New York Strip medium rare and it was done to perfection. The sides we ordered very done very well, making special mention of the spinach salad. The menu has a variety of better cuts of steaks and a solid variety of seafood. The staff was attentive without hovering. I will also note that this is a grown up restaurant and wouldn't be a lot of fun for small children. Next time we go back, I will definitely want to try the seafood side of the menu."
