"I took my special guy there for his birthday. We had a great table with a window view, the server staff was prompt, and the food was superb! The interior decor was beautiful and even though the room was grand, it still felt very private. Thank you Ruth's Chris for an awesome experience!"

"Sunday was Mother's Day. We had reservations for 12 pm, which is when the restaurant opened. We arrived about 20 minutes early and were kept waiting downstairs in the building lobby with two other families because the elevator to the 11th floor restaurant level did not operate to that level until noon. Some thought should be given to having the elevator operate at least 15 minutes prior to the first reservations, so that guests arriving a bit earlier can at least be in the restaurant waiting area as opposed to downstairs in the building lobby."

"I took my mother for Mother's Day. We were immediately greeted through our Open Table reservations and seated at a table with a spectacular view. Our server was courteous and patient as this was my mother's first time dinning there. At the end of the evening, we were given long stem roses, a perfect treat!"

"we have eaten at several Ruth's Chris restaurants and this one was very disappointing. The waiter was initally attentive, then failed to bring our wine until we were into the meal. The small ribeye was a very poor piece of gristly meat, two of the three steaks were not cooked as requested, We waited so long at the end that we left without coffee. This is by far the worst experience ever at what we had always found to be good restaurants"

"My office used to be in the same building as Ruth's Chris so had lunch there at least twice per week. In addition, have held events there and have hosted many family and friends for dinner at RC over the years. My son is leaving for the military this weekend and his farewell dinner was at RC. When he was a kid, he loved to see the planes land and take off from our window table. I requested a window table for this special occassion and even though we could have been accommodated, we were not. Another group arrived after us and made a scene about not being seated by a window. They were quickly accommodated.
The food was very good with the exception of the shoestring potatoes and the asparagus."

"We've been to Ruth Chris several times and are still satisfied with the overall experience. The view was nice and the wait staff were excellent. "The service was great, and the appetizers were delicious. With that said, my boyfriend and I were pretty disappointed to find that both of our steaks were very overcooked. We ordered them medium rare, and they came out around medium well. It was not what we were expecting from Ruth's Chris. I hope that it was just a fluke, but their steaks are normally so good."

"If you have ever been to a Ruth's Chris steak house you know you will have a great steak! Restaurant overlooks Reagan National Airport so you can watch planes takeoff & land. Service was great, but noise level in the restaurant made it difficult to have a conversation at our table. It was pouring down rain the night we went and valet was nowhere to be found."

"The location was in the prettiest little area ever! The view from the window gave us a view of Reagan Airport which was ok but you should definitely ask for a view of the Capitol. "We go here once or twice a year - the food and service are great. But this time around they had us in the very back corner and it was so hot back there that we packed up our steak, corked our wine, ordered dessert to go and got the heck out of there. Both my husband and I, and our waiter, were sweating profusely. It was very uncomfortable and ruined the experience. The waiter said it often gets hot back there and he did turn the a/c up but it didn't really help. If we go back again I will flat out refuse to sit in that area again. For $300 I expect to be comfortable while I dine."

"The food was outstanding, but my overall evaluation includes the atmosphere, wait staff, food, and general experience. With the exception of the food, all were just mediocore. For some reason, the name tags the wait staff wore, made it feel like less of a nice place. We were basically seated in the corner of the resaurant - not near the window, but almost furthest away. Maybe if we had a better table I would've enjoyed it more, but whatever. The decor inside was like something from the 90's, not appealing at all and downplayed the nice restaurant atmosphere even more. Though, I did come here for the food - nothing else, and I must say that it was excellent. All in all, for the money, about $120 for two, I probably wouldn't return."

"Ruth's Chris has been one of our favorite places to dine, since the first time we went there in 2005. The food has always been cooked perfect and delicious. This was the very first time our asparagus was served overcooked. Usually the asparagus is a bright green and crisp. We were very disappointed that our server even brought it out. The asparagus was a dull green and mushy. We sent it back with no problems and we will continue to go to Ruth's, however, it was just something we did not expect."

"6 of us celebrated my husband's birthday there Sat. night. We arrived at 5:30, to enjoy the expansive view of DC, stayed through sunset and enjoyed the night view as well. They pampered us and made him feel very special. When we rose to leave, fireworks began outside the window-the Cherry Blossom Festival in SW had fireworks that night. If the Nats were playing a home game, they would probably have been visible too. It was a magical night!"

"The level of service was not up to par compared to previous experiences at the same location. We had no bread plates - Discretely raise my arm, waited.... then waved to get his attention but he was busy talking to a co-worker - Although he was facing us he never acknowledged eye contact. Tried to get the attention of a waitress walking by and she ignored me. Finally, I excused myself to my guests, got up and walked over to him and informed him that we did not have bread plates.

"Ribeye was overcooked and extremely fatty (even for a ribeye). Sauteed baby spinach was extremely bland -- as was the crabtini. I've ordered the crabtini regularly for years and I was shocked at how poor it was this time -- very little crabmeat and bland dressing. The crabcakes were disappointing as well -- tons of filler. Not sure what's happened to RC's menu - the items used to be so consistent and good. Now it's medicore at best :("

"We went for a special occasion and let me say that the service was exeptional. We were seated promptly and our server Eddie was very patient explaining the menu and how the meat was cooked.
We had a wonderful time and the food was delicious, they cooked our meat perfectly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, not just for the food and service but also for the spectacular view. We had reservations at 6pm and we were able to enjoy the beautiful view of Arlington/DC. It might be better at night and see the lights."

"The food was pretty decent considering this is a multi-national chain restaurant. If you want a fairly nice view of DC, Reagan Airport, and the outlying Maryland area across the Potomac, this is perhaps one of the best restaurants for the view. The service was nice, though our server Clara, did not smile during all of our interactions; not very welcoming.
Perhaps, this high-priced establishment is too used to big spenders that they realize that they don't need to go the extra mile for what they may feel is an "entitled" generous tip."

"was very disappointed called ahead to tell them it was a birthday and that we wanted a window seat or one with a view. It was a surprise birthday dinner and the waiter immediately said who's birthday is it. Got a horrible view. Especially since I reguested way ahead of time. This was in Aug. Attempted to go back for Christmas dinner with my mother because I knew she would LOVE the view. I Called ahead and told them what happened the other visit and was sure that I would get a great table. Well, guess I was wrong. Got a BACK table not even close to a window. "3 of us ordered the sockeye salmon special, it came highly recommended by the waiter. About halfway through dinner the waiter returned and I told him the fish was farm raised Atlantic salmon not sockeye, he assured me I was wrong and after some reasoning he agreed to check with the chef. The fish had none of the distinctive red meat color of a sockeye and the flavor was that of farm raised. After a very long time the waiter returned and simply said you're right it was not sockeye. By now everyone at the table was done eating and I had finished about half of mine, the waiter offered to redo mine but it was too late. Not even an apology was offered. Not going back."

"I truly enjoyed my evening at Ruth's Chris Steak House!!! The food was to die for!!! I enjoyed my Rib Eye Steak, Crab Tomato Soup and the Pecan Crusted Sweet Potatoes were out of this world. "I've been to other Ruth's Chris and loved the experience. This is my 2nd time (and last time) to this one. The waiters are terrible. Hey greeted us within 2 minutes of sitting down and bragged that we have 2 waiters...after that, didn't see them for 20 minutes. Finally asked for a manager and he became our waiter.
We sat between the window and the bar. Great views but unfortunately, we were also next Ro the kitchen and had to hear dishes loudly clattering the entire time. Also, the waiters congregated in that area and had a lot of inappropriately loud conversations...made it feel less like a classy restaurant and more like an Applebee's.
I've given them 2 chances...there won't be a third."

"This used to be a special occasion restaurant. Not any more. Hostess staff is clueless. Our dining experience last weekend was a disaster. What was to have been a nice dinner with my boss and his wife was a disaster. We asked for special seating due to my bosses wife being deaf in one ear. The table options were in the room off the bar. Supposedly no seating in the two main rooms at 6:30 pm. The hostess staff was oblivious. The table we were put at was under a speaker of blaring music. Wait staff was few and far between. At least we were kept hydrated as the bus boy refilled our glasses continually. Bar staff was inadequate as we waited for 25 min. The food may have been good but we just wanted to escape."
