"Ambiance is good -- dark with subtly lighting. If you're not in a booth, chairs are a little uncomfortable. The wine & beer selection is now presented on an iPad. It was a nice touch. The merlot we ordered was very good. We ordered a boneless rib-eye and a filet mignon. A word of advice - they tend to cook the food on the rarer side of what you ask for, so bump it up a level and you should be happy. The corn side was good as well as the sweet potatoes we ordered.
The downside -- this place is pricey, but that was expected. You can enjoy a similar or better steak and dinner at considerably less if you don't mind driving downtown :)"

"Best brunch in the area. The seafood bar was excellent(oysters, jumbo shrimp and large crab legs). I love it that the crab legs were already sliced and all I had to do was use my little fork. Our server was incredible. The mimosas magically kept arriving to the table precisely at the exact time they were needed. A great time was had by all!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Very expensive. She'll fish was good, beef tenderloin and lamb tough and disappointing. Ambiance terrible, stuck in a crowded room in the back of the restaurant in a small table. Very poor service. All this for $70 per person Mother's Day Brunch, champagne not included! Wow, what a disappointment!"

"I had been to Brook's several times years ago, but this was my first trip there with my wife. From the greeting to the dessert, everything was top notch. The food was fantastic, service was very good and we had the best meal we have had together in years. Took leftovers home and now my 11 year old wants me to take him to Brooks!"

"This was my first experience in such an elegant restaurant. The waiter definately knew his stuff. He recited the menu as if he were the chef telling us how the meal was cooked, what was in it, and I even recall him stating some the dietary restrictions. The staff and the ambience were superb. He was very knowledgable in his wine selection for us as well."

"The selection of food was good and the wine list was excellent as well.
They had a wide range of options to choose from and the appetizer, entree and dessert selection was excellent. The decor of the restaurant was also very nice and very suiting for a good steakhouse.
The problems that my group ran into was that several of the steaks weren't cooked right. Not what I would expect from a steakhouse on this level."

"This was our third visit to Brooks Steak House in the past three years. We returned to Brooks after receiving a $20 gift card during our last visit (my wife's birthday). I also chose Brooks because of the Open Table 1,000 pt tables. For whatever reason, I only received 100 pts (not 1,000). It was a Friday night at 7:30 and I expected the place to be busy but when we got there, there were only 3 or 4 tables occupied--it was eerily quiet. The salads, filet mignon and side dishes were good and the service was pleasant but I doubt that I will ever return because it seems like Brooks is a thing of the past. No action. No fun. What a lame Friday night."

"Brooks Steak House has very good food, and I have been there several times, and I have never had a problem or bad service. I don't really recommend Brooks for a Sunday Brunch. Not enough room to actually walk around the buffet to get the food you want, and they didn't have a good variety of breads, cheeses or sliced meats. It was too crowded for a Sunday Brunch."

Many people were having a hard time getting out of their chairs as well if they were mindful of not hitting your chair. Next time I will request someplace other than the main floor."

"Restaurant was way overbooked. We had to wait 45 minutes past our reservation time to get seated. Manager could have known this and offered us a free cocktail while we waited. Felt like we were being herded in and then made to wait. This is a long-standing restaurant and the staff and owner should know better. Have been to other restaurants on this day and did not experience such a wait. Shame on Brooks"

"everything one should or could expect from a high-end steakhouse. The service was superb and highly attentive, wines were very pleasant and the sommelier very helpful, our server was extraordinary and the food marvelous. And, no, I don't work there or own the place! I have eaten at all the other upscale steakhouses in the area, and this one is not to be discounted...it is every bit as good...actually, better. Shanahan's is far too noisy. Del Fresco's seems less intimate. Often, staying with the original, the leader in the game, is the best way to go."

"Somewhat inconsistent food quality, fair on the NY strip steak, very good tuna and good filet mignon. It was quiet as we were there the night of a big snowstorm. Our waitress was extremely busy and tried really hard to meet our needs but there were clearly not enough staff to serve the tables adequately."

"My wife and I and another couple had dinner at Brooks, hwy 25 and Araphaoe, 3/18/13. Although I have been to Brooks a couple of times, years ago, I am still impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the superior quality of the food. Add to the the classy atmosphere and you can count on seeing me again."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Brook's. The service was impeccable; very attentive in all the right ways (not there every 3 minutes). If you like lamb, you will love the lamb chops. My swordfish was the best I have had in my life (CA native). Every facet of Brook's shined. We only wish we had one here in Maryland."

"We always loved Brooks and wanted to go again due to great food and service, however we thought it was weird that the restaurant was not busy on a Saturday night. The service was lacking and the food was ok, but not where it should have been considering the cost. We will not go back."

"AMAZING! I was originally thinking we would cancel our reservation because I was afraid of the lack of choices for Restaurant Week. I am VERY glad I decided to go ahead with the dinner. The food was outstanding. Of the 7 pieces of salmon I had during Restaurant Week, Brook's was by far the best. And the service from Dawn was outstanding. Brook's will definitely be on our families list of musts for Restaurant Weeks to come."

"We enjoyed our 5280 night at Brook's. The sliced tenderloin was extremely tender and the madeira sauce was perfection. Snap peas were served with it and were a nice change from asparagus. Their dessert, a chocolate mousse, was just okay--could have made it at home. Our waitress, Lisa, did not seem to fit Brook's, and was just okay. Could not "swing" getting our table more bread (was there some sort of shortage?) even though there were 4 of us at our table sharing and we each had left-overs where some of their wonderful bread would be delightful. Very strange way to end our evening and left a bad taste in our mouths from such a lovely place."

"We were happy that Brook extended their 5280 experience. It was a snowy day and they were able to move our reservation earlier for us, so it was quiet. It is a beautiful elegant restaurant. The service was excellent, the bread was warm and generous, and the house salad unique. The beef option was delicious and perfectly cooked. No optional choice for desert or salad, but everything was delicious."
