It is the desire of 1741 on the Terrace to engage & invite you. The New American menu showcases farm-to-table ingredients.
Relax in the ambiance of the room – the beautiful Moravian tile floor & soaring Palladian windows. You will overlook charming downtown Bethlehem with buildings & history dating back to 1741 when the town was founded.
This restaurant is not just for special occasions. In addition to the ala carte menu, a fixed-price Tasting Menu features smaller portions of a three course dinner, allowing you to try a variety of dishes.
A Wine Spectator Award of Excellence winner, the wine list is developed to inspire. The list is populated with wines from around the world, but with a focus on American. The selections are varied & the list has been crafted to make the choices easy for a novice.
Our certified sommeliers are available to aid wine selection or pairings, including our exclusive Wineflight - a tasting of 3 wines priced as a single glass.

"This is the second time we have been to 1741 and as with the first trip the food was beyond compare. Our waiter was great and always there when needed but not hovering. I have one complaint and I had forgotten before booking the noise level is close to deafening. The ceilings are high and copper the floor is brick, so every sound is amplified and with a full house we had to come close to shouting to hear each other."

"Ate here February 13th. Loved our experience! Our server was polite and attentive without being to intrusive, piano player was a beautiful touch. Steaks were amazing!!! A very happy anniversary as my fiance proposed right after this. Truely a memorable evening. Thank you!!"

"This was probably the best Valentine's Day we've ever had. After reading some of the reviews, we were going to cancel; but I was determined to try it anyway. We are really glad that we did because the food was excellent,the service was superb and the ambiance was all you could ask for. Our waiter was as professional as one could be but not pushy or snooty. The piano player was a surprise and the music was great. All in all it was a very delightful expierince. We are definitely going back again."
