"I've had several memorable meals at The Kitchen but this one was not one of them. My cocktail was undersized and all of the entrees were the same. The cheese board made a lovely presentation and the cheeses were great, but the entrees were bland and flavorless. Not a great meal, and for a price."

"I had a great evening here, the only bad thing was that they had lost our reservation for 8:45pm after having called to confirm it. They still found us a table within a few minutes but it was in a very crowded coroner of the restaurant. I'm not sure that they would have been able to find us a table had our reservation been any earlier."

"Kitchen is a fun time. From the opening cocktails to dessert, we had a perfect dining experience. Cocktails are fun, the wine list imaginative and diverse. We shared the endive salad after a dozen of the freshest oysters in Colorado, and then had perfect chicken and scallops. We had had lunch here a couple times over the years, wanted to try dinner. I had set the bar pretty high in anticipation, and Kitchen surpassed it. It is high energy (euphemistic for noisy), but that adds to this restaurants appeal. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful with his recommendations, as was the wine guru.
In a town full of good restaurants, Kitchen is on my short list for a repeat dinner. And I live 500 miles away."

"The service was excellent and the waiter was very cordial. The portions were small for the price; especially my wife's Monk fish entree. We would go there again on a gift card or a much lower price. My beef and lamb pasta was a larger portion but tasted gummy and now what I expected from a bistro of this caliber."

"Traveled to Boulder with my mother to see my daughter at CU. Had eaten at Kotchen many times before. Kitchen is always one of my favorite restaurants. Unfortunately had to wait 30 minutes past my reservation but staff was very apologetic about wait and gave us a couple appetizers and glass of wine. Thought the staff handled the wait very, very well. Manager and front desk couldn't have been nicer. My disappointment this time wasn't the wait but the food. My gnocchi was tasteless and chewy. Only ate 1/4 of the plate. My mom's pork chop was also tough. I was surprised by both of these because food in the past was always delicious."

"We had an 8 pm reservation, but were not seated until 8:30 pm. The hostess was very apologetic and the bartender was very attentive and helpful in the meantime. Also, when we were seated, the waiter had placed some muchies on the table for us to enjoy while we perused the menu. That was very nice and helped us get over the wait. The food was very good and the service, from then on, was attentive and professional. We will dine here again."

"The tables were crammed too closely together. The tables are so close that you can't have any conversation that you would want to keep private. Yes, I know they're trying to foster a "community experience" in their restaurant, but I don't necessarily want to converse with the patrons at the next table. If I were sitting at a community table, it would have been entirely different. As it is, my husband and I get such rare and precious time alone together that we aren't excited about sharing it with complete strangers, unless we decide to.
The food was salty - I had a pork chop and couldn't finish it due to the salt. Nice ambiance."

"The food at the Kitchen is outstanding. We sampled items from the charcuterie which were all excellent and paired wonderfully with cheese selected by our server. Entrees were delicious. The NY strip steak was thick cut and juicy, seared to perfection. Rabbit cassoulet was rich and flavorful.
Our server was attentive without being overbearing and took time to describe and explain all of the excellent choices."

"My scallops were cold on the inside, sent them back and then had to wait for my dinner while my companions ate theirs. Most unpleasant and unprofessional. My wife had a different dish but ended up with lower gastro intestinal issues all night (I'll spare you the details). We will never go back."

"One the best restaurants out of the many I've been to in New York, Chicago, Denver, Boulder, Austin, Portland, and elsewhere. Certainly the best restaurant I've ever been to in the state of Colorado. They didn't just get everything right, but every aspect of dining there was beyond expectation."
