"The wait staff was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was prepared as requested and was very good. We have been here a few times and have enjoyed each one. It is a special occasion place for us and we feel the price is worth the experience."

"We do not often frequent the higher end restaurants, but this one is an exception too the rule. It is pricey, but worth every penny. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive. We enjoyed the experience a great deal. I must admit that my love for the Colorado Rams may have clouded my judgement a bit, but only a little bit."

"We went with a friend visiting from out of town. He and I had steaks which were good. My wife made the mistake of ordering Lobster Ravioli. She said it tasted like canned lobster stuffing. Edible, but far from what she had expected and hoped for. "Awful" was her description.

"The food at Sonny Lubick's was great, we even dined next to Sonny himself! Excellent service and attention to detail. The bananas foster was to die for but wish they could have just served one serving since after the excellent meal we had there was no way for two of us to finish a full bananas foster each and ended up leaving half of it."

"This is a great place to celebrate a CSU graduation. The décor reflects not only the sports history of CSU, but it also reflects some of the history of Fort Collins. The staff are friendly, yet professional and attentive, and the food is well prepared and delicious. Our graduate especially enjoyed the tableside preparation of a fresh Caesar salad. It was a great way to cap off a day of celebration."

"Coaches Ribeye was not prepared very well. It was recommended as one of the favorites but I should have send it back. Little flavor (not like a ribeye should be) and an excess of perimeter fat that was burnt. Ordered medium rare+ but received Medium well. Not a $36 steak. The baked potato was overdone with a slight burnt flavor. Overall my main meal was not very good.
My wife's prime rib was very good and the desert was very good along with a good coffee."

"Took my mother to Sonny's for Mother's Day and I have to say it was a great choice! They really went out of their way to make mothers feel special! Definitely have to say the chocolate covered strawberries were the highlight of the meal! Will definitely try to dine at Sonny's again!"

"We went to Sonny's on a Sat (11AM) before Mother's Day. We were the only people in the restaurant. It took about 45 minutes + for the food to arrive. Good thing we ordered chips and salsa to start. Don't blame the wait staff, she was very sweet, pleasant. Never asked nor was offered a reason for the slow service. Not sure what the wait was about but it seemed strange that it would take that long for 5 entrees, mostly sandwiches to be made. And perhaps the good food takes a bit longer applies. As for the food, crab cake melt, good, super bowl salad, good, salmon with rice/veggie, good, french dip, good, best item looked to be the hamburger with cheese, guacamole and bacon, Would go again to check out the service with a full restaurant."

"The bread was very good with the selection of butter and jam. The Portobello mushroom and crab appetizer was fabulous, but the steaks and salads were just ho- hum. Could find similar steaks at less expensive restaurants, so we were somewhat underwhelmed. We had always wanted to try Sonny's for a good steak, but now we have satisfied our curiosity and probably do not have a reason to return."

"The food was great, but the service was not so good. Our waitress went to the table next to us several times and didn't even glance in our direction, when my boyfriend wanted to order another drink. He had to wait for a while. Yes, we are younger people, but wanted to have a nice Easter brunch, and are normally generous tippers! The only other damper on the day was that they served boiling hot au jus in metal cups. This is just a stupid idea at a buffet. My boyfriend got a second degree burn on his hand from this! Why not serve it in soup cups or just straight on the plate? Having those metal cups was basically inviting burns from the customers. He spent the time eating with one hand on his water glass to cool his burn."

"I absolutely loved the food at Sonny's, my favorite was the tableside salads. The drinks I ordered were a little off (2 different style mojitos), maybe I should have just gotten wine. Our waitress was very nice, polite, and spot on until she got a couple more tables. It took us a while after our meal to get our check, but overall amazing and we will be returning!"

"I had a very nice dinner with my family to celebrate a recent personal milestone. The service was excellent throughout the evening and our server was very knowlegeable and helpful in selecting the perfect bottle of wine. The steaks were outstanding and the blueberry cobbler with ice cream was a great finishing touch to the meal! Sonny Lubick Steakhouse is one of the best restaurants in Fort Collins!"

"Fun evening with a special lady. Food presentation wonderful and is always a great taste! Would've like to have seen a more intimate setting available, but the great staff accomodated us by holding the table next to us for the evening! Where else does that happen?

"We had a great time and making as well as changing last minute reservations was simple with open table.
The food was perfect; 6 & 9 oz filet and the salad made table side was fun and the best!

The dining area is a bit crowded and noisy and our service was ok by our lead server ( she didn't say hello for 7 minutes, drinks weren't taken until well after 15...), but the table helper was on the game! Water, bread, removal of dishes, salad making, etc.

"This is our second visit to Sonny's and we couldn't be happier about our experience. If your looking for a economic dinner this is not it. But the food ambiance and service are worth the extra $$. This is a great place for a special occasion. My wife had the lamb and I had the NY strip with crab legs add-on. Best meal I've had in a long time. Thanks!"
