"This simple, unassuming spot in the middle of an unremarkable commercial block on Beverly blvd is something that is very hard to find in a crowded LA restaurant field- a very special experience. The chef (who isn't afraid to emerge from the kitchen and interact with guests) mixes whimsy and imagination with flair and finesse. All in all, a tremendous little place."

"This chef really knows what he is doing! The food is exceptional and beautifully presented in this small and charming environment. It reminds us of dishes we have had in Paris where the food and the presentation only enhance the experience.
If you have not dined here you are missing out! And, when you do, you will not be disappointed!"

"I've been here twice now, both times for brunch. The food is always lovely, and they are generous with the bottomless mimosa. They never seemed to be packed, even though BLD next door is overflowing. It's definitely pricey. But everyone's nice."

"There were 7 of us. All but one enjoyed their entree. Most of us ordered halibut and it got rave reviews It was a small portion, most of us would have liked a little more. One of us ordered the wagu steak and he said it was the best steak he ever ate. We shared an order of 18 oysters and they were fresh and plump. One ordered the duck and didn't enjoy it. The chicken egg appetizer was enjoyed greatly by he who ordered it. We ordered a couple of beet salads. There were 4 smsll, whole, lovely, tasty beets. beautifully arranged on a small plate, we would have enjoyed a few more beets on each plate. We were celebrating a birthday of which the management was informed, but they offered no little dessert to the honoree."

"We celebrated my father's 80th birthday dinner. Our table was quiet, service was perfect. We ordered the lobster, wagu beef, and shared appetizers. Everything was served perfect. The waiter brought us a glass of champagne with our dessert for a birthday toast. Great evening."

"Got a Certificate to dine here. Came first thing on Sunday morning with my 5 month old baby. They were accommodating to fit our stroller. The food was spectacular, fresh and favorable. Had the French toast and hubby had steak. Yummy, would come back. Mimosa got me a little tipsy, tricky cuz I couldn't taste the alcohol."

"We came here with a Gilt coupon for a mimosa brunch. My friend was on crutches, but the host did not offer an alternative entrance as he watched her come up the steps. He also did not pull out a chair or try to assist when he showed us a table. We asked a manager about other entrances, and he was a bit dismissive as he gestured toward the back of the restaurant. When we left, no one offered to show us an alternate exit. The server was very friendly and nice. I was confused about the final check. The total before the discount was $108 for 2 starters (salad and fruit), 2 entrees (chicken & steak) and mimosas. Unless the mimosas were $60, I'm not sure how that come out to $108, but we tipped 20% on that amount anyway."

"WE went to Eva on Sunday night, where they have a set menu. While the food was very good, and the service was excellent, I wouldn't have chosen the menu items to order for myself, so you have to be prepared to take what you get.
The unlimited wine pouring was a very nice touch."

"Lovely interior with a great neighborhood vibe. Our waiter was extremely nice, unfortunately, the service was very slow (not necessarily her fault) and the food was mediocre at best. There seemed to be a little bit of confusion on the order of things. Our first course came before our drinks were delivered, and the server seemed to have forgotten that we'd ordered drinks in the first place. Just seemed to be a general lack of organization to the meal and service. I'm not a culinary expert, but I do eat out a lot and lived in NY City for 15 years where I ate at nice restaurants often. It billed itself as a somewhat fine dining experience with a top chef. I'd say this place is too big for its britches."
