Two25
Two25 is a polished casual restaurant located in the Mark Twain hotel, downtown Peoria. Signature entrees such as the broiled Peppercorn New York Strip, Dijon Crusted Salmon, Shrimp & Crab Carbonara and the classic Gratin Dauphinois-- a 30 layer potato gratin-- are not to be missed. Delectable dessert choices such as Chocolate Mousse topped with a Raspberry Chambord Sauce and Crème Brulee are also local favorites.
Diners can complement their meals with our wine program-- a large selection is available by the glass, flight, half bottle or bottle. Our reserve list by the bottle is sure to help you celebrate that special event.

"Another great meal at Two25. My guest raved about the Blue Cheese salad. I appreciated the availability of anchovies to garnish my Caesar. Bread was fresh with delicious butter (as important to me as the fresh baked bread). My guests seared salon plate was spotless and absolutely empty, a great sign of a well prepared fish and he could not say enough good things about his salad. I had a succulent grouper on black beans with a relish of fresh pepper bits in a habanero motif. Great meal as always."

"Two25 is a local favorite of ours - and not just because it's local. They deliver every time with perfect, well timed but relaxed service. They offer the best calamari on the planet as well as other apps I would put up against any big city restaurant. Several wine flights are available and the wine list is extensive and works into any budget. For the entrees, we have tried Salmon, Sea Bass, Duck and various Beef entrees - all superb. The atmosphere is open and not too dark but also perfect for a romantic evening. Pricing gives you twice the meal at half the price of Chicago. I couldn't recommend more."

"We are from Chicago and read reviews online and decided to try this restaurant out. My sister and I did not like our main dishes at all. We did not have the steak, so I can not comment on that. She had chicken stuffed with spinich and I had beef stroganoff. The chicken was so bland, had no taste to it, almost tasted processed. My beef stroganoff was just just ok, had better. The food was not piping hot either:-(. A sad experience. To start off the meal we had the Artichoke dip which was hot and creamy with a good taste and the potato side dish was very good also. But besides that this was not a great find for us. The service was very good."

"My husband and I don't get out much and we had been hearing great things about Two25, but when we left the restaurant we were disappointed. We both ordered steaks that were cooked properly but lacked seasoning. The sides also lacked seasoning and my potatoes were undercooked. We would have told our server this but it seemed that he was in a hurry to go somewhere else whenever he was at our table. The ambiance on the other hand was great, just everything else seemed to fall short of all the great reviews."

"Our party of four dined on a Wednesday evening. We had 5:30PM reservations and had a nice spot in the center of a cozy enclave. Our server was there immediately to take our drink order and remained very attentive throughout our dining experience. The food was OUTSTANDING! We all ordered various steaks - mine was the 12 oz rib-eye, my wife and the other couple order fillets. All agree the steaks were cooked to perfection and the flavors were excellent. The lobster bisque was unbelievable. My friend Richard commented afterwards that it was the best meal they had out in a very long time. All in all, our dining experience at 225 was excellent and made the hour drive to get there well worth it."

"My wife's meal was excellent, although a bit on the cool side. My prime rib was fatty, and I was disappointed in it. The side dishes were very good though, as were the salads and the wine we had. My wife's creme brule was one of the best she has had. The server was all business, not very personable. This was out second trip to your restaurant, enjoyed the first one much more. We were sat next to a table of about 20 young girls, so the noise level was higher than we wanted. We will probably be back to give it one my try before we dismiss this as one of our top places to go in Peoria."

"My husband and I enjoyed everything from the Baked Brie Appetizer to our main entree. We tasted three different wines and chose a bottle of Decoy which we really enjoyed. We both had steaks. I had the Ribeye cut, and he had the New York Strip Fromage. Mine came perfectly cooked at medium well. He ordered his the same way, but he had to send it back for some more cooking. The second time it came-it was great. We enjoyed the bread and salads too. I love the fresh vegetables like the red onion, radishes , and cucumbers on the salad. He like the Cesear salad. We decided that we have to come back and try the Sea Bass. We are anxious to try the Lobster Bisque and Onion Soup too. The atmosphere and service were great."

"The setting rustic with brick n wood interior yet fresh and lively in spirit. A very nice wine list to get one started off on the right foot.

"The last time I saw a waiter move as fast as the gentleman we had the other night it was in France. I appreciated his no-nonsense approach to providing the best service. The courses arrived promptly at the right temperature. Best of all, we loved the flavors. The staff made sure we had plenty of time to get to our theater performance. The place was pretty full with a table of 8-10 just finishing up next to us.
I got a chance to taste my friend's gourmet pizza. It was the best tasting pizza I have ever had in the city of Peoria. My sausage rigatoni was excellent, although enough for two. We look forward to our next visit."

"My wife and I had a wonderful time. The service was outstanding. We arrived a little early were greated at the door by the host, Steve. We went into the bar area for a cocktail and to listen to the live jazz band they had playing. The music was at an appropriate volume and the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming even though it was busy. Steve came and found us and escorted us to our table. We were once again met with a smile from our server. We had the calamari for an apetizer. It was the best I have had in a long time...cooked perfectly and the chipotle dipping sauce was a great compliment. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the wine list had a great selection. We will definitely be going back!"

"We wanted to do something different for Valentine's day. Not being familiar with the restaurants in Peoria, we stumbled upon Two25 through an internet search and decided to try it out. What a surprise. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic dinner, the food selections were wonderful and they have a fantastic wine list. We had the Sea Bass and another White Fish dish that was a special for the night. Both were magnificant and the portions were more than enough to take care of anyone's appetite. We will definitely be going back."

"we had our 25th wedding anniversary at Two25 and the staff and food was excellent. The staff went way out of their way to make the night very special. It was a night we will never forget thanks to everyone! We went back this Valentine and again the food and our food was excellent. The night was awesome. Thanks agin to eveyone for always doing such an excellent job. That is why it is our favorite restaurant!!"

"It did not feel like a hotel restaurant at all. It was warm and cozy and the food was delicious. The filet mignon was tender and melted in my mouth. My wife had the chicken saltimbocca and it had amazing flavor. The pistachio gelato for dessert was a great way to finish the meal."

"The food was great! I had the rack of lamb, which I've never had before. I left it up to the chef on how to cook it. It was perfect! Melted in my mouth like butter. And the 30 layer potatoes were awesome. One of the best meals I've ever had. Servers were great also. A little pricey, expect to spend around $75-$100 for two people, but well worth the money if you want a great meal, great atmosphere and great service."

"I visited early in the week and somewhat later in the evening so it is hard to gauge the noise level, but I can believe when it's busy that it becomes rather noisy. I was pleasingly surprised with this restaurant having such a good beer selection. The food was amazing! There were so many dishes that caught my attention."
