This contemporary-chic yet intimate bistro from Pastry Chef Jill Rose, (Ex: Lespinasse, La Caravelle)serves Mediterranean inspired French cuisine and award winning desserts nestled amongst Tarrytown's antique Mecca just 30 minutes north of Manhattan. Now serving Hand Crafted Pizza!
"My companion and I were intrigued by the Euro-style pizza offerings with unusual toppings, but neither of us are meat eaters. Our request for a vegetarian version was deliciously accommodated. Only drawback was that the edges of the crust were a little burnt.
I have eaten here on two other occasions with friends, once for brunch and once for hot chocolate and pastries. We all found both the service and the food quite good, the ambiance quiet and mellow, the space cozy without feeling crowded."

"Lukewarm soup, fish on a bed of lukewarm veggies, mediocre deserts and a waiter that never reappeared. was much better b4 the conversion to bistro style. Used to go 1-2x yearly, no more."

"Food was decent. Service was a disaster!!! We were 7 people celebrating a birthday. They brought the wine but only 2 glasses. They didn't pour it! The sppitizers came out a few at a time. The birthday girl's sppitizers was wrong. The mains came a few at a time again none for the birthday girl! It used to be great! I wouldn't bother going back! They were apologetic but when we asked got the manager no one came. They did comp delicious dessert!"

"Come here once a week. The service was a little lacking on this particular night. The place was filled because of a show playing at the Music Hall across the street and it seemed they almost couldn't handle the crowd. But the food is very good and the manager and owner are lovely and always there to please you. they need to get their staff up to or close to their level of professionalism."

"We were going to see a concert at the Tarrytown Theater and wanted a restaurant nearby. Although we didn't see this place on the theater list, we decided to give it a try. What a nice surprise! The bakery part of the name is a little misleading, so we really didn't know what to expect. The atmosphere was very comfortable and sophisticated, the food was fresh and delicious. I had the duck breast and my husband had the lamb- two yums up!. The servers were very accomodating. We will definitely go back."

"Excellent food and service. My husband loves Negronis and it was made perfectly, not a usual occurrence. Delivery of entree to table was a bit slow. We had tickets to a Music Hall concert across the street, and had to skip the dessert, which we understand is a specialty. Next time we'll allow 2 hours instead of 90 minutes to make sure we can try them."

"My salad was plain, but the pasta was excellent. We had to ask for bread and reuse silverware from first course for our entrees - a pet peeve of mine. Short, interesting wine list. Tables close together some with table clothes and some without..."

"Vastly over-rated..a Zagat 24...in your dreams...never again. Just one example. Had Sunday Brunch reservation...seated quickly..several unoccupied tables..received menus..waiter disappeared for 10 minutes..flagged down another waiter to give him drink order..coffee for my wife, beer for me...10 more minutes...this time regular waiter flagged down--where is bevereage order..Sorry, we're overwhelmed...you have to wait in line while we fill orders for people who were here before you...another 10 minutes...luke warm coffee delivered--no milk..I had ordered a Pilsner, he brought an Ale..It went downhill from there..24, indeed!."

"This is my second dining experience with Chiboust Bakery. Both times, the food is trendy and delicious. I had the appetizer with shrimp and grilled pineapple. It was delicious. My husband had the salmon. The problem with this visit occurred when the wait staff forgot to give us bread, and when we asked for it they asked if we wanted a refill. We did not get bread until after the meal was finished. We ordered dessert and coffee. The dessert came 7 to 8 min later and then the coffee came another 8 min later. We were already finished with dessert. We were completely done with our meals when the wait staff asked how the food tasted. If more attention was paid to our needs then the score on this review would be 5 star all the way."

"We chose Chiboust because of its proximity to the Music Hall and were pleasantly surprised by the caliber of food and service. Be sure to save room for dessert, the roasted pear bread pudding was wonderful!"

"the restaurant is conveniently located across the street from the Tarrytown Music Hall. For me, this was the best feature. I felt the service was only fair. Our server may have been on his first day. He was not confident, and was not prepared to answer our questions. I thought the food was adequate. However, for the price, the food should have been spectacular. I had the salmon, which was overcooked, and not to my order preference. given the slow wait service, I didnt dare return the meal to be cooked as requested. the portion was small. the very best part of the meal was dessert. I had the flourless choc cake. it was excellent! I would go here again, but will be more selective when ordering, and allow more time."

"Chiboust was a very pleasant experience. We started with a fabulous margarita on the rocks made with Herradura tequila. It was clean and delicious! We had the mussels for an app and they were outstanding! The Caesar salad was tasty as was the beet salad! The brick oven pizzas were among the best I have had. All the ingredients were very fresh and the crust was thin and delicious. Another friend had the broiled Branzino special and it, too was scrumptious. We will definitely return!"

"The food is good with a lovely presentation. But for some reason it did not WOW me. I am not a big dessert person and that is clearly where they shine. My lobster appetizer was delicious my scallop entree was okay. My husband enjoyed his pork chop. It is a quaint setting and the menu is interesting and varied. For the money I would sooner go to Harpers in Dobbs Ferry. But Chiboust is certainly quieter and a little more romantic"
