"We went on Saturday, 5/18 for our son's 16th birthday. With four people in our party, we were able to get a very nice spacious booth with two fondue pots. We each ordered something different, which is different from last years menu, we enjoyed this especially me, because I don't like red meat and had seafood, the lobster was wonderful. Desert is always a special treat, my son enjoyed milk chocolate covered everything! The server was very friendly and treated my son as though it was his special day."

It could not have been further from the truth.
It was the best date night place imaginable.
Great fondue. Great ambiance.
Best thing to do is have the Cheese fondue a la carte
then head to the chocolate one. If you have the entree and salad,
you will be too full :)"

"The place is really nice and romantic. I went for mother's day and they habe this special going on. I wanted something else that what they were offering that day but overall everything was very good. It's pricey but is really good and different from others restaurants ."

"It was a great place to spend Mother's Day! The atmosphere was perfect for us to enjoy each other's company with the feel of real privacy but feeling like everything we needed or wanted was there for us in the way of food, drinks and service.

"I was shocked by the price in comparison to the food. The app and the dessert were good, the main course not so much. Everything tasted the same, filet and chicken. Not worth the price for sure, $300 for dad/mom and 3 big kids. Service was great and made mothers day meal a little better."

"Went for Mother's day and had a great experience. All staff was extremely friendly, courteous, and accommodating. Visiting from San Antonio, TX, we have a Melting Pot 20 mins away. We drove 1.5 hours from Western Mass to eat here. Did not disappoint. Only setback we did have was the customers noise level. It was very loud and energetic and not the romantic/quieter ambiance I am accustomed to at other MPs. I really wanted speak to one parent who were letting their kids get annoyingly loud with their "Would you rather..." games, but again, it was Mother's day and probably not of the norm...."

"The meal was very expensive for a 5 year old, she received very little (mainly ate from our plates) and the wait was extremely long although there was a fixed menu and the restaurant was not full.
We ordered the child's plate, which was a little less than half the cost of the adult's plate. It was for a course of cheese, meat and chocolate. The cheese and chocolate courses were noting different than the tables with two...we only received two dipping items for most of the desserts. Our daughter received a meat plate that was not nearly half the size of the adult plate (more like 1/4). As for the time, we arrived at 12:30 and did not get out until 3:00, and we are not slow eaters ;)
I would definitely not return, especially with a child."

"As my title says...this isn't the first time this has happened, but once again, my wife and I decided to celebrate a special occasion (1st night out alone after birth of our son, and also Mothers Day) the saturday night before Mothers Day. Last time we came for our anniversary, and the service was terrible. This time, we would give them the benefit of the doubt. Once again, we were seated...and once again waited almost 10 minutes before a waitress finally came over to even get our drink order. The rest of the meal was fine...until after our plates were drinks/plates were cleared (by 2 other different people), we waited another 10-15 minutes before finally the manager came and asked if we needed our check. Won't happen again...."

"We actually did Easter lunch at the Melting Pot in Framingham and had a blast. The service was fabulous and the waiter was personable and fun. The mix of fondue meats, fish, and veggies was tasty and the dipping sauces in addition to the foundue were also great. You can mix and match your cheeses for the meal foundue and your chocolate treats and sweets for the dessert fondue. Clever how the cooking element in the center of the table heats up hot and fast, but the rest of the table stays safe to touch. We were with two young adult kids, but this would work well with little ones two. My husband and I plan to go back for dessert just the two of us soon."

"We really enjoyed the Melting Pot. Our server was wonderful; she was helpful and attentive. The eating is really fun, as some fondues are made at your table. While this doesn't involve anything extraordinary, it was still fun. Cooking your own food is also a nice change (it's not difficult: 1. put chicken, etc. in fondue. 2. Wait. 3. Take Chicken out.) but while they say its impossible to overcook the food, I sometimes found it a little tough. Otherwise, the booths are romantic, the menu is long enough to allow for creativity but it's not so big that it's overwhelming. We had a great time, but it's expensive, so while we'll be back, it may not be as often as we'd like."

"Went out for a grown up night out. It was a great food experience. Took us two hours to eat all four courses so it was great for visiting with friends. Only problem the four of us only had one burner so we had to agree on the cheese, cooking style and type of chocolate. Would have been much better if we had two burners so we could experience the food a little more. Also it was really busy so our server had to serve our drinks in Styrofoam cups and they had run out of iced tea. A little bummed but service was great and food was yummy. Overall a fun food experience."

"My husband and I went for the first time on a Friday night. We had reservations, but sat near the kitchen so a bit noisy. Our waiter, Diego, was wonderful. He explained the process, checked in often and acknowledged my food allergies. We mentioned we may go to the movies and he was going to accommodate our timing. We ended up forgetting the movie because the food was really good and its not really a place to rush through. We got a four course meal with one starter cheese fondue, 2 salads, 2 entree fondues and one dessert fondue. We were stuffed at the end. We would go back for the cheese and dessert fondues alone. It probably wont be a place we go to often, but its definitely an experience to try. Moderately priced, but super fun!"

"We had a great time bringing out kids for the Sunday special. While we had a great time there with another couple and their kids, and the kids were well behaved. I really prefer going to The Melting Pot without the kids. Its a bit more relaxing that way. Since we don't live close (over an hour away) its reserved for a special occasion. If we lived in town, we would certainly be there more with the kids."

"Great good, great setting. It was a little pricey but I would go again. Waitstaff was very nice, helpful, and friendly.

"Hard to find. But once you are there, it's perfect. I am quite disappointed that the "skinny dipping" menu has ended. I really hope the Melton pot will consider making it a permanent part of the menu. Given problems with obesity and lack of exercise in American society, having a calorie and fat conscious option is necessary. It also makes the experience more affordable for people to try a few things. Loved making reservation online."

"In the top five for places we have been to. Was a very enjoyable time. Only negative was the $100 bottle of champagne was quite warm. I would/will/have recommend the Melting Pot. It was our first time and we will be going back again."

"We enjoyed our dinner at The Melting Pot. Our waiter was very nice but he was noticeably very busy thus semi-absent from our table. He did mention this at one point and was super friendly but it did take awhile to get drinks ordered, etc. The food was delicious and everything we had a question about was explained. It was an energetic atmosphere but in a good/fun way."

"I had a great time at the melting pot. The food was very good as was the service. The dessert fondue was the best I have ever eaten for sure! I would definitely recommend this place, but probably more as a special night out because it is a bit expensive when you get the full four course meal. Well worth it though!"

"My visit was related to Restaurant Week in Boston, and The Melting Pot is convenient to the Metro West members of our professional organization. It was my first time there and I was impressed by the decor and the alcoves throughout the restaurant. I was comfortable waiting at the bar for the rest of my party to arrive. The menu selections were good and offered variety. Our server was polite and attentive, yet at the same time seemed unsure of the menu offerings (resulting, we think, in our not getting exactly what we ordered for dessert) and was forgetful in responding to requests such as replacing utensils. We laughed it off and enjoyed the evening."

"We were seated, waited for 10 minutes for a waiter. Then asked one of the other waiters walking around whether somebody could take our order. We were assured somebody would be right there. Waited for another 10 minutes with nobody showing up while neighbor table were served and cleaned by four staffers. We left after overall 25 minutes."

"We had a party of 7 and were seated in a room to accommodate larger groups. The meal was great at the start when we were the only ones in the room. Then the entire atmosphere transformed into a very disturning and noisy scene when a party of 9 were seated (4 rambunctious kids)and then the copu de grace, another table of 12 -14 of what looked to be high school girls having a "surprise" party of sorts. It was almost unbearably loud as the other diners were having fun while the table of kids were going crazy. Was happy to finish and leave....."

"We went for a birthday lunch celebration. Jeremy,our waiter, was professional and friendly. The cheddar appetizer was fabulous. Splitting an entree gave us room to enjoy a mix of two chocolate fondue ingredients for dessert. Some seats are individual, dark and romantic while others are in larger rooms. Will go again."

"I had never been to Melting Pot before and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and freshness of the food. The concept of cooking your own entrees wasn't exactly stellar and the cost for what you get left much to be desired. The drinks were fairly pricey for what you got as well. I understand they seem successful at this location but, let's be real, it's not Boston; it's Framingham."
