"The food was delicious...the restaurant was very noisy so if you don't mind the noise it's a good place to eat. The only problem we saw was that the tables were so close together. It almost feels as if you are sitting with the people next to you. You can hear their conversation because everyone is talking louder since it's so noisy in there. But the food and service were excellent!"

"My wife and I had a really enjoyable dinner at NoRTH. High points:
1) The Zucca appetizer if a real gem. Light and tasty. I haven't seen it anywhere else.
2) All the pasta seemed to be freshly prepared -- and hot!
3) The bolognese sauce was very authentic (I've lived many years in Italy).

"NoRTH is great for it's delicious small pizzas, pastas, and special dishes that they change up seasonally. I'm not going to say that it's the height of gourmet cuisine, but it's definitely not bland food. Anything you get here will be rich and unique in flavor. It's a great place to meet friends and share some delicious appetizers, such as the Burrata Alla Panna or the Grilled Artichokes.
The ambience is spirited, and during the warmer months they open the sides of the restaurant so everyone can dine al fresco. While it's not hillside country dining at the Domain, it is usually a pleasant family atmosphere with people walking about shopping, and the huge live oak with the lanterns strewn about its branches adds to the warm ambience."

"Disappointed after our experience at sister-restaurant "The Green House" in Scottsdale, where we had a wonderful meal. At NoRTH, the soup was strange, like a bowl of marinara sauce. In fact, it tasted like a sauce I had made a few days earlier and put over ravioli! Might have made a good pizza sauce, but soup?
Then, they were out of the pasta dish that my husband ordered. He didn't really see anything else he wanted, so he went for another, but left out some of the ingredients, which left him with a very poor meal. That part was really his fault, but couldn't the server have made a better suggestion? I just would have thought that a nice restaurant would have a "plan b" in the event of running out of something. Had to ask for bread, too."

"The food was good, but nothing specatacular, a little overpriced. The place us very trendy and loud. We had a cheese and bread appetizer which was good; Caesar salads (pretty good); and I had salmon (good) and my husband had pasta with shrimp (his pasta was overcooked). They had a nice wine selection.
Overall, good food but you can find much better, and for less, in Austin."

"We have enjoyed NoRTH several times and like their progressive approach to their food. On this evening we were celebrating my daughter 17th birthday as a family. The food was very good but our service was terrible as we were clearly forgotten. It put a negative spin on our evening. The management did a nice job trying to recover which was appreciated but good food with really bad service still equals a bad experience. Good chance we will give NoRTH another chance but not for a while."

"Disappointed!! They no longer have the cracker thin crust which we considered their signature dish. We have been regulars since this place opened and up until this week North was our favorite restaurant in town. It had been two months since our last visit, and their menu changed... for the worse. They've discontinued their excellent Risoto dish, but worst of all, they changed thir pizza recipe."

"Busy place - it helps to have a table reserved. Sometimes too loud and crowded for a calm lunch that makes you want to linger. Waiter was absent-minded but meant well. Food is always good - although I didn't like my salad choice of grilled chicken with gorgonzola and pine nuts. It was tasty, but just not with an exciting punch or flavor like most of their food has. I love the Fox Restaurant concepts places and wish there were more here in Austin. In Scottsdale, where I'm from they have many Fox restaurants and the food and atmosphere all good to great. I can't diss one of my favorite places, but I simply didn't have a great time like usual. They are just too popular I guess. But I'll be back."

"The food at NoRTH is fantastic. We were not disappointed this time, everything we ordered was perfect. The waitor did a fantastic job and was attentive to our table of 6. The only issue- We had reservations for 7PM on a Monday night. Got to the restaurant and were told we had to wait due to another large table still using the table they planned for us to use. We recommended a different table (it didn't matter to us where we sat) but for some reason they wanted to seat us at 'that' table. After 20 minutes of waiting they finally said they would get us another table. The manager came out and apologized for the wait, we suggested a free drink for the wait... He just gave us a blank look. Not cool."

"I celebrated by birthday at NoRTH & my experience there was very pleasant. The waiter “Nick” was very attentive to us (group of 2). I really enjoyed their Calamari & the Zucca Chips more than anything else. I will definitely order them again."

"Pastas were great. We hadn't been to North in a while and were looking forward to their pizzas. However, we noticed that many of their pizzas had changed and were very disappointed that they no longer have thin crust pizzas any longer. They are now the smaller personal pizza size with much thicker crust. They looked very doughey. I saw many half eaten pizzas being taken back as we awaited our order. Fortunately we changed our order to pasta dishes, which were great and the service exceptional as always. Needless to say, we will not be coming for pizzas any longer. I would still recommend the restaurant, just not for their pizzas."

"Caesar salad was dry and had no dressing or cheese. The chicken parmesan was tough, over cooked and dry. The regitoni with Grana Padano was cold and tasteless. Very poor execution."

"Fantastic for both lunch and dinner. Great ambiance at night, and if the weather is nice they'll open up the walls for an indoor/outdoor eating experience. Always a very nice place to eat - probably not the most child friendly place, but great for friends."

"I have eaten at NoRTH several times while in Austin and have been pleased with my total experience ever time. The service is friendly and energetic while always being professional and unobtrusive. The food and wine selections are outstanding. I have been very pleased with every aspect of my experience here and look forward to coming back to Austin so that I can add a trip to NoRTH while I'm in town."
