For more than fifteen years, the locally owned 'Med' has been offering a menu that brims with Italian, Spanish, French, and Greek cuisine. "We enjoy going to The Med periodically; they have delicious food a bit different than what is found at most restaurants. Gluten free items are clearly marked, and everything is made from scratch, so it's a comfortable place for groups with some members with dietary restrictions. The service is usually solid but not spectacular. We had a great lunch there a couple of weekends ago. Unfortunately, the other evening everything was a bit below par. The bacon wrapped dates were burned, the margarita was so bad that I sent it back (with no reaction or attempt to remedy the situation by the waiter), and our water glasses ran dry a few times."

"Hadn't been here in awhile, so I was relieved to find fried artichokes are still on the menu, and even better than i remembered. Those things are addictive! We also ordered the burrata appetizer, which consisted of a very small, melted piece of cheese in a tomato sauce. Not evidence of truffle oil, but the waiter brought some for us when we asked. I think the current version of the dish and the menu description differ, so consider yourself warned. :) I also had the Eggplant Parmesan, which was fine, nothing to write home about. The bread was divine. My friend had mussels Provençal with frites and enjoyed the dish very. much. Did I mention the fried artichoke hearts are addictive? Already planning my next fix."

"I made reservations for the Patio, There were many tables available, I was pointed to a small table in the middle, as I was meeting with friends from 33 years ago we wanted to talk, catch up and be close so I requested better table near a corner. This was met with some angst but we finally were given the table requested. The food was dissappointing, the amount of swordfish on the kabobs was tiny for the price. The number of shell fish in the Marisco was also minimal for the cost. The ambiance at The Med is top notch but I have dined there 6 times over the last 3 years and I am seeing a declining trend. So it would not be first on my list as a reccomendation."

"This restaurant is normally loud. However, the volume upon our visit was deafening! We were at table 11 in the back. The acoustic combination of the piped in music and large parties, that are seated back there, made it hard for our Intimate party of three to converse. Food, however, was excellent as always."

"Our family has been coming to the Med practically since it opened too many years ago for me to remember. Tapas were very new and we've never had a bad one. Eating lunch at the Med is always fun! If anything, the Med has become TOO popular! You seem to be busy all the time which is only bad because when the restaurant is very full, it's very noisy. But our most recent lunch was at 1:30 pm on a weekday afternoon and it was just wonderful! Quiet and homey and the service was great!
P.S. We've also had groups for dinner, birthday parties etc.. at the Med, food is always good, atmosphere a bit loud because of the room's acoustics, we've known that for years!"

"The MED offers many options for dining and all are delicious. They offer a tapis menu as well as lunch/dinner, so Mediterranean food according to your pallet and serving size. The salmon with my salad was grilled to my specs, medium rare. My husband's swordfish kabob was delicious. He really enjoyed it. The bread basket is fresh. This is a more noisy restaurant and the tables are close to each other, but not so noisy to keep us from returning to one of our favorites in Boulder. Also kid friendly."

"We celebrated a special event with a group of 8 and were seated close to the bar, but in a corner that provided just the right amount of privacy. The tapas menu is amazing, and it would be very easy to create a whole meal with the variety offered, and the quality was excellent. "So we had a reservation for Mother's Day on the patio. We got there and got seated right away. That was the only thing that happened as it should have. It took over 10 min to get water. Then another 10 to get the complimentary bread. Once the bread was there we asked for plates and silverware for the 5th time. Finally we got our plates and silverware after we received our first appetizer. 3 out of the 4 silverware's they gave us still had food on them. So we had to request more. Finally after about 50 min they brought out two of the four dishes we ordered. Then never brought the remaining meals. So when we asked where they were the space cadets didn't know where they were, said they would have have them make them. We cut our losses."

"The Med annually is voted the No. 1 restaurant in Boulder. Great place to migrate to, sit down and enjoy outstanding food at reasonable prices in a most pleasant, flower-bedecked atmosphere. "There is a real atmosphere about the place. The Tapas menu was a real treat, although you have to watch yourself or you'll get carried away with too many of those delectable little morsels before dinner. You can of course skip dinner altogether and just opt for the Tapas menu, and try a fascinating variety of savory treats from Southern Europe."

"The service was excellent but the Tapas were not up to the rating of the restaurant.We ordered Gambas al Ajillo.Shrimp in garlic sauce and the shrimp were not sauteed but almost boiled. The pita bread that came with the hummus was almost raw dough, those are very simple things that a good restaurant should know. i do not think we are coming back.:("

"Very inconsistent service this time out. One drink order was never delivered. Ordered an entree and received a small plate version, sent it back, waited while the rest of the table ate, and got the same small plate version again after 25 minutes. Manager tried to compensate and ended up taking most of the entrees off the order...but still, was not the dining experience we had hoped for or were used to at the med."

"The food at The Med is always good - I cannot recall ever having a bad meal or experience here. They have an amazing Tapas selection and the desserts are to die for. I usually get one of the Paellas and they have all been outstanding. The Paella this time was good but not as good - a bit dry and undercooked.
Service is very spotty. Our server started out well then ignored us as soon as we got our food. She walked by over a dozen times while we sat waiting for boxes and to order dessert. We finally got someone else's attention when we walked up to the table with the water pitcher and refilled our own. Thank goodness we were not in a hurry!"

"We went on a very busy Saturday night. The food was good; the service was great; our waiter made an outstanding effort. However, the most notable feature of the restaurant was the noise level. It was nearly impossible to have a conversation. Perhaps on a less crowded night the noise level would have been manageable."

"We are always very pleased when we eat at the Med. This particular night was celebrating my daughter-in-law's birthday. A good time was had by all (only three of us this time) and she loved being able to choose her own dessert for her birthday treat! The service was excellent!

"We have been to the Mediterranean a few times before. A couple of times, near the bar it was a bit too noisy for chatting with friends. This time we were away from the bar and the noise level was very pleasant.
My husband wasn't sure about a wine so they asked if he wanted a sample before ordering. This was very helpful. All 4 of us ordered different meals and the waitress recommended the Vegetarian for ME, the vegetarian of the group. It was wonderful with just the right amount of feta cheese. We were having such fun that we splurged and split 2 desserts between the 4 of us. Also splurged on wonderful 8 oz. lattes! too much food but it was SO Worth it!! I can't wait for summer so we can get a patio table."
