"We came for Brunch on a Saturday. We live in Annapolis it was a 45 min. drive but the food was worth it. The appetizer, entrée, and dessert were all great. We had brunch cocktails all very good so don’t know about the wines. When I made the reservation I mentioned I was hard of hearing and they put us at a table towards the end of the room – which helped. It had a normal noise level for a restaurant.
You have to look for it. There is very little signage, and the font they used on the awning make it almost impossible to read the "b". I remember when this location had a Little George's food store so I found it without a problem, but my friend passed it by and called from the other end of the parking lot asking where it was.

"My wife,son and myself attended Bistro Blanc on Mother's Day 2013! it was "a little off the beaten path" but once we located it everything was fine. The decor is modern and relaxing with a large wine rack at the rear of the dining area also displaying a wine machine which houses multiple wines which you can try by the glass for a fee. The service was very nice and our food was quite good. (Crab and spinicah omlette, smoke bacon omlette and a belgain waffle). The only problem I had with this place was that the seating was a bit cramped but that could be due to us dining during a day like Mother's Day. We had a very good time and left quite satisfied. The brunch was nice so we will be dining here again to try thier lunch or dinner menu."

"We used OpenTable for a reservation and received a confirmation email from OpenTable. This was for the Saturday before Mother's Day. The reservation was for 10 AM. We also received an email from OpenTable the day prior to the reservation saying it was still on.
However when we showed up they said they were not going to open until 11 AM and they had no plans to open at 10 AM. They did say they tried to call me Friday night. I must have missed the call but really? They had days and days to let me know, they can fix their issue with OpenTable, they could have emailed me, they could have called me again that night or that morning.
They seemed to not care about any of it. I will not go there again.
Read HowChow for some other nightmares."

"The restaurant extended Mother's Day Brunch beyond the typical Sunday 11:00 am to 2:00 pm time which fit our schedule nicely. The waitress was very attentive and accommodating. The presentation of the meals was great, were done to spec (my wife and daughter cannot tolerate meat that is anything less than "well done" and they were pleased.) Oh, the food tasted great, too."

"great food slightly of the beaten path. we went for mother's day brunch. it was very busy but everything was delicious. the duck confit was perfect. the tenderloin was cooked perfectly and the bacon omelette was delish. the creme brulee was good but it was more of a custard in a cup, not firm enough. still yummy though."

"Our waiter, Jake, was friendly and professional. He made this occasion special with his pleasant attention.
Almost everyone in our party had was that the food was too SALTY! Salt can always be added later so I am not sure why the food is over-salted. We did not send the food back as it would have been too many dishes and we did not have unlimited time. Instead people just picked around the overly salty portions. Would return if I read reviews saying this problem is corrected."

"We have been to Bistro Blanc about 5 times now, for restaurant week, a beer dinner, normal weeknight dinner, and now brunch, and we've always been extremely pleased. The menu varies just enough to keep things interesting, but the standard favorites are always available--sometimes with a twist. We were kind of apprehensive at first because of the unassuming appearance from outside, but don't be deterred. The food has been consistently excellent, and the cocktails and wines are very good, as well. The brie, with whatever variation they choose for the day, is among the best I've ever had in my life, and you can't lose with their pork or duck dishes."

"Excellent and innovative menu for Sunday brunch. Our group of four was accommodated quickly as we showed up when the doors opened in the morning. On line reservation service was easy to use but didn't really need to use it until later in the day when more resonable people get out of bed. We had a mix of orders including salads, omlette, eggs benedict, and sandwiches, all prepared with care, and with excellent ingredients.
Thanks to Howard County business sign rules, Bistro Blanc is easy to miss on Ten Oaks Road. It is one block north of the Gleneg traffic circle, but worth looking for."

"I live about a half an hour away, and it is TOTALLY worth the drive! It doesn't look like much on the outside, but the interior is very nicely decorated. The food is interesting, different and delicious. The wine and beer selection is fantastic. Highly recommend!"

"Food was really excellent! Our waitress was wonderful and attentive without being obtrusive. One complaint is that the wine list shows half and full glasses as well as bottles--very unusual in my opinion. I inadvertently ordered a full glass that ended up costing $15! I feel that the wait staff should be trained to point out that there are half and full glass selections so that people are informed when they order. Fortunately when I complained ( I never would have ordered a $15 glass of wine) the price was reduced to the 1/2 glass price, Kudos to the waitress and owner for making that happen. I'd go back for sure."

"We had decided to go farther afield than usual (we tend to stick around Baltimore), and this place seemed to be a good starting point. The food was well prepared and well presented. I found the menu limited and the descriptions a little too detailed, however accurate. While I like the local food trend of which Bistro Blanco is part. the trend tends to include unnecessary complexity of ingredients of which Bistro Blanco is also part. The food was good, but not so special that I would take 45 minutes to get to again."

"Did you ever go to a place and before you left you were deciding what you were going to eat the next time you came? That was this place. Great location near our house. We started with the cheese tray and crab empannadas and both were outstanding. Actually we started with wine and we could not speak more highly of that as well. Great prices and outstanding selection. My husband had the short rib special and didn't even offer to share it was that good. I have the Char and I've changed my mind about that fish now that I had it prepared this way. I would get it again. Homemade desserts that I think everyone in the restaurant tried at least one of them. Service was OUTSTANDING. Our waiter was knowleadgable and wonderful."

"The menu has changed, which I appreciate. But they removed the filet and now have a 32 oz. bone in rib eye. That's seems excessive and the filet was amazing in the past. Also, the lobster dish that I had was extremely bland. No seasoning whatsoever. The concept was good (lobster tail, pasta, light cream sauce, shaved brussel sprouts, parmesan cheese) but unless you ate each bite with all components, it completely lacked flavor. We loved our server Lindsay and of course Adam is always a wonderful bartender. But the menu lacked the pizazz we liked last time we visited and that's why we won't be rushing back."

"I'm not able to add much to the items that I just checked off in "special features." My wife and I went for a post-Valentine's Day date, and were very pleased with the experience. We began by sharing a small plate ("pig n fig," I believe was its name), then both of us chose monkfish as our main course. The food preparation was not only pretty to look at (true for every "foodie" restaurant I've ever visited) it was also delicious (not as common). The serving sizes, for us, were perfect."

"Bad night, food took over 1 hour from order time. Server trated us like we were stupid with no conception of time. Table behind us got up and left manager rushed out their food and put it in to go boxes. Oh by the way it was Valentine's Day. The restaurant was not that crowded so have no ideal why things were like they were."

"It's great to have a place with such delicious food in Western Howard County. We have been very pleased with the selection and the execution of most dishes. The pig-n-fig is always a delight, although it seems the portion has gotten smaller since we first started going. The selections seemed overpriced and a bit salty during our most recent visit, though it may have been a Valentine's weekend problem."

"Eating at Bistro Blanc is always an experience. As a huge wine fan, their selection is impressive. The staff is very knowledgable and happy to recommend wine pairings with meal selections. I asked for a pairing with the cheese plate and was given 3 choices, and the one I picked was perfect. The food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is mellow and perfect for any occasion. I randomly discovered this place while driving past it for work, and am extremely happy I took a chance on it. Its definitely earned a place amongst my favorite places to eat. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!"

"we had been to the restaurant before and had a good experience. probably because it wad Valentine's day dinner, the place wad jam packed and the tables were so close together that we might as well sit with our neighboring patrons... it took more than an hour for our entrees to arrive and the waiter kept apologizing for the delay. he felt bad that said he would bring in a basket of bread for us to munch on but we found it charged to our bill..I liked having a live singer there but everything else was just unbearable. my husband and I almost wanted to leave after having the appetizers."

"We were very disappointed in this vista to Bistro Blanc. We have eaten here numerous times and, unfortunately, the service, has been steadily declining. This visit was on Valentine's Day, and they were unable to provide good service to a restaurant full of customers. We waited 30 minutes before and in between courses without anyone stopping by other than to fill the water glasses. Also, they have a small menu and had removed our two favorite dishes - scallops and salmon - and run out of rack of lamb by 7:30, so the selections were very limited."
