"came here for lunch for a co-worker's bday. the food was amazing; tasted fresh and all at the right temperature. the waiter was very attentive and great. since it was lunch, it wasn't busy so the place is quiet. the decor and vibe of the restaurant makes you feel like you're dining in a highly rate restaurant in vegas. i would definitely come back. i loved walking past the slabs of beautiful marbled steaks waiting to be cooked."

"My third time here and always a great experience . Friendly and helpful hostesses and waitstaff and outstanding food . I often dine at premium steakhouses and this is my favorite . Steak is exceptional , and the sides are always perfect . Add a good wine list and this is a first class dining experience."

"Steakhouse in Union Square is an excellent divergence in the neighborhood. It's massive, polished and full of large furnishings. My steak was tasty, the hash brown and asparagus nice compliments and my guest enjoyed a lobster roll ( a nice surprise).
The business lunch offers steak au poive, rather than a small steak, and that bothered me. If they want to package a business lunch give us an option that doesn't hint that a sauce will cover up the flavor of the meat.
I will try once more but they don't quite hit the mark, especially when they are 70% empty at lunch time."

"I have been to V & A in Vegas a few times and it was excellent, so I was looking forward to dining at the NYC location. We had an excellent meal; I had the bone in rib eye, my wife had the fillet. Both were cooked perfect. The mushroom side was excellent, wedge salad fresh and crisp and the creme brûlée for desert was good also. Our server was friendly and very good. She should give lessons on how to serve. She was attentive but didn't ask us every two minutes if everything was good as we were chewing. Interior is roomy and very hip, unlike the Vegas location which is classic steakhouse decor all the way. Highly recommended!"

"if you are a steakhouse charging steakhouse prices, your line should know how to cook a steak. do not sell medium rare as "cool in the center" and then bring it out grey--happened with both of our steaks. Adding more butter doesn't help. exercise some quality control. on a business dinner on a tuesday night, noone is sending anything back. But we both noticed it and commented on it. by the way bagged table service and ate at bar. bartenders were pros. I'd try it again since its in my neighborhood but only when I can be firm about getting the product I am paying for. Ambiance-wise the place is a trip. Very Vegas--not NY steakhouse style at all. Vs Wolfgangs not far away it isn't even a tossup. but its early and they can turn it around"

"This place is really convenient to my home and office. Great for lunch. Not too crowded or noisy. Every time I (we) eat there, the order is wrong. Yesterday 3 of 4 orders were wrong. Too salads were missing ingredients and my burger had no bacon and had a role, onion, and L&T I asked them not to serve.
The staff is courteous and friendly even professional but i guess not too bright. Cannot believe they are still in business. They may get one more chance but only because they are so convenient."

"This was my third visit, and the usual issues cropped up. The bottle of wine arrived only just before the food, and the waiting staff are very aggressive in pushing expensive extras or higher-priced wines compared to your stipulated budget. The food is very good, but still lags behind some of the other great steak restaurants in the area. I won't be returning."

"We wanted to try Vic and Anthony's since it's fairly new to the New York area. We decided to give it a try and had a delicious lunch durning restaurant week 2013. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional.Our waiter Thomas went above and beyond! Really, really great service! A little annoyed that we were charged 4.00 per person for bernaise sauce since we never get charged extra for that at other steak houses that we frequent. Had a great petite filet with mash potatoes!"

"What a disappointment! Was hoping for a great steakhouse with more of a cool vibe and felt as if I was transported to Vegas circa 1970. The decor could have been overlooked if the steaks were awesome, which they were not. We ordered one Filet and two NY Strips. They were cooked well but over loaded with salt. They were also served on a plain white plate - lacked any presentation. Sides were good as were desserts, but if you can't manage to do a good steak, I won't be back."
