Airy and romantic, Cafe Amalfi offers casual fine dining and a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean. An extensive menu includes seafood, steaks and salads. Cafe offers breakfast and dinner from May through October, and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner from November through April. "We celebrated Fathers' Day a day early. Appetizers were great and plentiful. Father was very pleased with his selection--cioppino. The big kids also were very pleased with their choices and since we each ordered a different dish, we had the opportunity to taste several different choices--seafood risotto got "best meal" prize.
The surprise of the meal was the chef's appetizer surprise. We all voted that we would return soon."

"Have been here to eat several times over the last year. Despite excellent service from the staff, the food was forgetable.
Our party of four had 2 steaks arrive over cooked and of only fair quality. Not quite sure it was the quality of the meat or the preparation. Bread was old & stale.

"We had the best waiter ever!!! He was so very friendly and his service was outstanding. The food was very good. They take pride in what they serve. It was quite obvious. Would surely go again. make a reservation to sit by the window and see the beautiful ocean."

"When we finally found Amalfi, it was in the Hilton Hotel, buried away on another floor.
Don't be confused by the name--Cafe Amalfi is neither a cafe nor an Italian restaurant! We had read reviews that it was romantic and that the food was wonderful. We arrived for a 9pm reservation and the dining room was completely deserted. They were clearly waiting for us and, though they were nice about it, we asked to sit in the bar area so that we wouldn't be the only people there. The food was mediocre and the menu seems to have an identity crisis--the only pasta there was a "whole wheat fettucini" that was gluten free.
Perhaps this place is different during peak season in Myrtle Beach, but our experience was not a positive one."
