"This restaurant is a bar type but it has a large area for seating. It's right downtown with a great location, and the wait staff is very friendly. What impressed me most about this restaurant is the food is very unique and they have some special offerings that you don't normally find in a restaurant like this. My biggest complaint is that the restaurant was a little bit loud during the early evening hours when we went to eat dinner."

"Arrived 5 minutes before our reservation at 7 for 10 people. were seated at about 7:30. They were out of 2 of their craft beers ? This is a micro brewery, how does a brewery run out of beer? NOise level VERY LOUD. Overall an ok experience."

"This visit was to celebrate an annual birthday adventure for my party of 5. It was the perfect place for us to celebrate. All of the staff were wonderful. The hostesses seated us where we wanted to sit and took pictures for us. They made our visit special! We enjoyed all the delicious food!"

"Our food experience and waitress was very good . However the management was very poor we made reservations a week in advance showed up and had to wait over an hour to be seated. The hostess tried her best to get the manager to split a large table held for a party that did not show but she would not . Finally after I was very upset the manager split the table and sat us . I don't feel the respect reservations very well and based on this experience I may not ever go back again!"

"The food was great & the drinks were very good. Especially the craft beers. The people who work there however, tend to act like you're bothering them. Made a reservation for 15 at 8 p.m. I received a call to confirm, but it was more like a threat. I was told if our entire party was not there by 8:15, our tables would be given away. When we got there, three people were working the hostess stand. Repeatedly had to tell them who we were. They seemed grumpy. The waiter was disinterested, having to ask who ordered what whenever he came back to the table. He was also not attentive. Had to ask the bartenders where he was during the meal. While not rude, the service is lacking. However, a great place for food/drinks if it's not too busy"

This is probably a good sandwich and beer joint, and I should have just gotten a burger. However, I don't come to Savannah to eat hamburgers."

"Fantastic service at this fun, historic restaurant. We had a great time and will recommend Moon River to friends. Our server went out of her way to share the local history and lore surrounding the restaurant. It's supposedly haunted. We didn't see any ghosts. Hopefully, we can return and spot one then. Kristine's Favorite (smoked turkey with cranberry and pecans) was a favorite of ours, as well."

"Our server was friendly enough but the food took FOREVER to get to our table, and when it did it was cold & not very tasty. Most favorable review of the evening came from my 7-year-old who said her burger "wasn't too bad". I happened to look over at the table next to ours as their food was arriving, and saw a burger where the cheese wasn't even the slightest bit melted. Maybe they were just having an "off" night, but there are so many other good options in Savannah that I wouldn't go back."

"We came here to celebrate my boyfriend's 50th birthday. The staff helped me plan our dinner in advance, including accepting delivery of a cake from a local bakery AND allowed his sister to order a round of drinks and apps for us from Maryland! Everyone was very welcoming and our waitress timed everything perfectly, allowing us time to relax and enjoy our food and drinks. The history of the building is a plus, but that also draws in several ghost tours in the evening so if you don't like being "on display" then ask to be seated away from the bar area. The beers are delicious and the food was exceptional. We will definitely be back!"

"My husband and I were there on our honeymoon, and we had heard about it's possible haunted activity. We love a good ghost story. Although we didn't see or experience anything paranormal, we did experience amazing service and delicious food! One of the hostesses took us upstairs after dinner so we could see more of the brewery's haunted spots. The staff truly went out of their way to give us a great dining experience, and we can't wait to come back again!"

"We told the server that we had two young children and what we should do. He said "wait for ten or whatever and we'll deal with it." Then they arrived and we had to arrange seating since he didnt care. Nothing we ordered came out quite right and our nachos were forgotten and put on our bill. I think they actually went to the table beside us. So at the end he pointed at my beer and asked if I wanted another to go and I did. He later asked two other people if they wanted another. Of course they got theirs and no got an empty cup ( I had maybe 5 sips of beer left). Wtf. So I asked about mine and he obviously groaned and walke away after rolling his eyes. He then was very quick at amending the bill and running it over! Ugh!"

"The beer was great at Moon River Brewing Company. I'll give them credit that when we went it was St. Patrick's Day weekend in Savannah. However, we went on Friday and they were already out of several menu items. You would think that a restaraunt would stock up for an anticipated busy weekend. I'll also add that my wife and I were thinking about a dessert and another beer, but the waiter brought our check without even asking. Our table wasn't needed because there were several empty tables in our viewing distance. Their beer garden was great and their beer was delicious. I'd recommend stopping at this place for a beer in the beer garden before eating somewhere else."

"They accommodated us at their outside dining area with the "inside," more vegan-friendly menu, which we very much appreciated! Overall, the service was fine. Food was average (they ran out of sweet potato fries and onion rings before our dinner was delivered). Beers...great if you like Belgium or sweet beer; if you are more stout- or amber-inclined, choose a mixed drink!! Manager said "they are still learning," so give them a chance!"

"Moon River came highly recommended and it was my first time visiting. The food was delicious and we received way more than we would have guessed! I had the house burger and it was cooked perfectly! My girlfriend had the crab cakes and those were cooked to her liking also! We tried the beer sampler, too. The atmosphere was relaxing yet energetic. I just wish they sold their brews in bottles so we could take some back to Florida with us! We will be going back the next time we're in town!"

"The beer was very poor quality and the food was pathetic. I have been being beer for ten years and can safely say the garbage they serve as beer is among the saddest I've ever had to try."

"Very popular place and ALWAYS packed, so make a reservation or else you will wait a long time. The service was good even though it was extremely busy when we went. The place is crowded most of the time in the evenings because the various ghost tours start there or include the place. It was fun. But make sure if you are doing the ghost tour and want to eat beforehand, make your reservation at least 1 1/2 hours before the time of the tour.

"We brought a group of 12 here for dinner after working a very long event. I had made reservations 6 days prior, as dinner was going to be over valentines day weekend. We waited nearly 45 minutes or our "reserved" table, which of course was irritating because we were all hungry and tired. I was ready to write this is place off until I met our server, Spencer. He was quick with drinks, apps, and brought our meals as quickly as possible. Had it not been for him, it would've been a very long, unhappy dinner. Great servers do exist! Moon River, the only reason I would come back here are for the garlic fries and Spencer!"

"We had reservations for a party of 9 at 8pm and were not seated until 8:40. The waitress did not greet us for another 5-10 minutes and one of the tables we were sat at was broken. After the waitress realized the table could not be fixed they moved us to another table. We were out for a bachelorette party and asked if they would at least comp a drink for the bride for all of the inconvenience thus far and were told no. The manager never even came to our table to check on us. The food was decent but the service was HORRIBLE!!! The time it took to get our checks correctly and correct change was also ridiculous. Go for a drink not for dinner!"

"We made an OpenTable reservation for 7:00 and we were sitted as soon as we arrived. This is a great neighborhood and historic bar in Savannah. We enjoyed the atmosphere but would not recommend for a quiet evening. Our waitress was excellent and made our dining experience the best. We ordered the Black and Blue burger and it was cooked to perfection and the side order of onion rings were the perfect side. We both order one of their speciality beers. If you just want a great beer in Savannah, this is the perfect spot. It is not on the river where most people hang out but you can always have a "beer to go". We will definately go back!!"
