Zinc Bistro & Wine Bar
Our chefs have painstakingly created a menu of wine-friendly fare consisting of old world hors d'oeuvres and regionally inspired tapas. From baked Texas goat cheese with kalamata olives to fresh chocolate covered strawberries, the menu caters to the diversity of the food enthusiasts.
Charles Court, at the rear of Zinc, is a truly serene gathering place for a rare outdoor experience. The private, spacious courtyard makes for a quiet sanctuary from the clatter of downtown city streets and the Riverwalk.

"My wife and i were out for an evening and I selected Zinc for a couple of reasons. It's connected to Boudro's, and the menu offered choices at reasonable prices. Guacamole prepared at the table might used more spices, but it was delicious anyway. We had fish and chips and pasta.... both of which were seasoned "just right". My wife tells me we have found a good choice for dinner downtown."

"We had two business dinners 4/27 and 4/28. We had eaten here in 2010. The menu is changed, less tapas, more entrée. The menu change is probably a negative but the food was still good, just not as varied as it once was at the tapas level. Interesting that on both nights different waiters brought a cheaper bottle of wine than the one I ordered. Once is an error, twice is something to question. So, if you order from their extensive list, beware. We are not fans of the River Walk crowds when eating. So, Zincs up between the two legs is worth finding. We ate inside the first and outside in the courtyard the second. Both settings were very good. This is informal. Don't expect top shelf wait staff, but they were friendly and caring."

"Had the Pizza Sopressata - hard to image such an awesome pizza - have had pizza from all over the world - literally and this was the best ever - shockingly good!!!! Prices at the restaurant were so reasonable but do not let low prices on some items lead you to think quality will be compromised - it won't be. Also had the Cesar Salad for $3.00 and was exceptional - love this place so much we went there twice in five days in San Antonio - would have gone more often if had discovered it earlier. - Fantastic wine list as well and also has a cigar menu if you so desire!!! A++++++++++++"

"Excellent place and recommend it. I was looking for a nice quiet, romantic spot for some good conversation with a long time friend. I found it at Zincs. Service was great, wine (and wine list) was great. Food/menu needs some expansion IMO. Food is unusual but that seems to be the focus, but needs a bit of an expanded menu for choices. Main course - paella - was out-of-this-world delicious with plenty of seafood (inculding lobster tail). "Did a lot of research to find a nice place away from the convention crowds on the River Walk. Zinc is just a block or so off the River on street level and very convenient to all the hotels but does not have the tourist trap feel like the establishments along the river walk. We had a 6:30 reservation but arrived an hour early to take advantage of the raved about Happy Hour deals. We were seated in the dining room. Service was excellent and not hovering. I was catching up with a friend I had not seen in 40 years. Time got away from us and we overstayed our welcome. The manager offered to buy us a drink at the bar if we gave up our table. We accepted the offer. Fantastic pizzas. Good wine list. I'll be back!"

"We booked through Open Table, but when we arrived, they did not have our reservation and said it was going to be another 30 minutes. The hostess was rude & unaccommodating. Because it was on the River Walk, we took the opportunity to walk the river for 30 minutes, which is always an enjoyable time. Upon returning, the hostess said they don't have a table and put us at the bar. When she grabbed the waitress to serve us, the waitress informed her there was a table out back in the open air and took us there. The waitress was awesome: friendly and attentive. The outdoor seating is nice. The food was good, but not exceptional. There's a bar next door that played loud music w/ a heavy bass, which was too bad as the outdoor seating is so nice."
