"This is our second visit to Sushi Rock and we continue to be impressed with the quality of the Sashimi and Sushi. I tried the Beef Sushi for the first time and it was excellent. The Calamari is always good. My boyfriend got a Sashimi sampler over rice and seaweed salad that was suggested by the server, but not on the regular menu. He loved it!"

"There truly is no way of rating how poor the experience was. We arrived promptly. Seated immedidately. Restaurant was just about empty. We placed our order with our waiter. Sat there with empty drinks until he decided to come by. We had our appetizers. And literally sat there for approximately 50 minutes waiting for either him to come by or for our dinner to come by. Our server hung out at the hostess stand rather than attend to our table. Finally, we got up, asked for the check for what we had up to that point in time, paid the bill and left. It was ridiculous. How in the world could you expect anyone to recommend your service? The service has never been excellent but it has never been so pathetic. They were prompt in getting us the bill!"

"I like the location of the restaurant and the ambiance, but the sushi is over rated. It is average quality and the prices are steep, especially for cocktails. A dry martini was $11 and a rum and coke is $8. We would've been better off going to another bar to drink. Personally, my favorite sushi in Columbus is from Diaspora on campus at OSU."

"I went with my husband for a romantic birthday dinner, but we were first seated in the back room which was basically an extra room that looks like it was used for parties. We were the only single table with 2 huge groups and the noise was extremely loud. We asked to move out into the main area and they did after a bit (still loud but not so much). The service was not super friendly and I was not impressed with the sushi (the rice seemed old and we had to wait for almost 40 minutes. Overall if you want sushi there are MUCH better restaurants in columbus to get it."

"The food at Sushi Rock was very good - we had a couple appetizers and everyone ordered sushi for dinner. The service was fair but they were busy when we sat down (8:00 on a Friday). I ordered a special roll and a couple hand rolls and everything looked great when it came out to us. The time between appetizers and the sushi was perfect.

"This was by far our worst Resturant experience ever in downtown Columbus. We arrived at the Resturant 10 minutes prior to our reservation, which was at 8 pm and weren't taken to our table until 8:20. Our server took over 10 minutes to get to our table and didn't even get a drink order at that time. She came. Back to get our drink order, and brought back half the drinks. Some of the guests with us had to wait an additional few minutes. When she returned, by this thime it's almost 8:45, she tells us that her reccomemdation is to order the sushi now because it is taking almost an hour. We sat at the table for almost 30 minutes and. Could have ordered that at any time. From there it just got worse. The service was awful. Terrible experience."

"Unfortunately high noise volume while I tried to enjoy my date. I hate to complain because this is the best sushi in Ohio, but man did the service and ambiance stink. Valet also brought me the wrong car...twice. If you want good sushi you should eat at sushi rock, however don't go there for a nice date."

"We had a great time and the service was excellent. It was pretty cold in the dining area. My wife and several other female guests i saw wore their winter coat throughout the meal. It really wasn't even that cold outside. It seemed as if the backdoor was open creating a wind tunnel through the dining room."
