Why do we call ourselves LG's Prime Steakhouse? Quite simply because PRIME is the very best by any standard. Prime steaks have the necessary marbling that imparts a unique combination of taste and texture which defines the ultimate steak eating experience. Owner Gail Greenberg presides over every detail to ensure that quality and service will exceed expectations. Serving only USDA prime beef, dry aged on the premises. Highlights from the menu include the "Jewel in the Crown" our 24 oz dry aged porterhouse, the enormous 32oz bone in ribeye, 4 and 8 bone colorado rack of lamb and fresh seafood. Winner of Zagats "best steak in town" award and a permanent fixture on Tom Horan's top ten list.

"I always eat at LGs for about 13 years. The food and young service staff sucked. It was my wife's birthday. I invited friends and family dropped off a cake before dinner, and the server didn't even know where the cake was? Just not a good time. And believe me I'm an LG lover.... I miss Mr LG coming and visiting me at my table. Anyway just not happy."

"Steak was cooked great, but nothing had seasoning, nothing. Not the steak nor any of the sides. Way overpriced for what we got. We won't be back and we will not recommend it to friends or family.
Decor was outdated, the booth had a tear in it, there were remnants on the ceiling, dated out of the 80's."

"We visited LG's 2 years ago and returned this past April. Well LG's lived up to our fond memories. Everything was wonderfully prepared, server was attentive, and atmosphere was relaxing. "LG's use to be great, now it's awful
The reason is that the ingredients have to be the poorest quality they can find. How do they get them by the food inspector? Over $400 (before tip) for 4 steaks, 4 sides, 2 salads, 2 glasses of wine & 4 desserts. Well, that's what we ordered. What were we served? Who knows? Other than the steaks (1 was over-cooked but no offer to redo), all was tasteless. The cheese on scalloped potatoes had 0 flavor which somehow was more than the potatoes themselves. And when did they start growing fresh lettuce the color of the Yellow Pages? It took a chisel to eat the scallops. BTW, were those green beans or greenish-brown shoelaces?
Pay no more and enjoy dinner: go to Flemings or Ruth's Chris or Mortons."

"We have been dining at L.G.s for years. The service sets them well above other restaurants, from the moment you walk in until you leave, there is someone always on the lookout for your next need. The tableside Caesar salad preparation is great, and the selection of desserts is yummy. Fantastic steaks served on a sizzling plate with delicious sides. Their cheesy bread and onion rings are to die for - all of the food we have tried over the years has been excellent. A bit on the pricy side, but there are groups of all sizes and ages in the restaurant."

"Very disappointed with the hostess. We made a reservation to sit in Joe's section. When we arrived the Hostess said she had a table ready, but not in Joe's section. She said she would have one in Joe's section in 10-15 minutes. We said we would wait for Joe's section. After 35-40 minutes she seated us in a booth that didn't seem to be in Joe's area. She assured us Joe would wait on us. Not only that Joe didn't wait on us, he never approached our table. This is the second time this has happened to us. When a person has expectations for an enjoyable and I might add an expensive dinner and you get slammed at the beginning by someone being not truthful, it make for an UNPLEASANT night."

"Although the food was very good the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. We had to change our table after being placed in a cavernous room with a high ceiling that gave you a feeling that you were in a cafeteria with an exceptional amount of noise. We were actually unable to hear ourselves speak to each other. After we were moved we were placed in a room with a lower ceiling and that improved things a lot. If we could not have changed the table we would have left."

"||This is the second time in 2 years we have dined here. LGS 2 claims to fame are their aged prime steaks and their made at the table Ceasar salad. I ordered a Caesar salad mashed potatoes and rib eye steak medium rare. for $41 the steak was smallish. The flavor was so so but not what I would expect of a "steakhouse". The caesars salad dressing had way too much lemon in it The lemon overpowered the dressing. We can blame the waitress for that."

"Usually dependable but not great this time. The acoustics in the large room in back (with firepit) is awful. Could hear everyone's conversation. When they poured the water into the goblet, it was full of food particles floating in the water. Ewwww- the waiter poured a second glass from the same pitcher. It was the grossest thing I have seen in a restraunt in awhile. Steak ordered medium-rare came out way overdone. We kept having to get attention of wait staff, by the time he came, we already ate 1/2 steak. couldn't wait to leave. Had good experiences in past so I'm thinking this was an anomaly. But seriously for as much as things cost, it was defintely so-so. manager? Non existent."

"We reserved 5:30 because we were headed to the BNP Paribas Tennis Tournament for a 7:00 pm start time. LG's is only 5 minutes away so we thought we'd be in plenty of time. We mentioned this to the hostess, but after 5 minutes, no waiter had come to the table, and no one had even brought us water. I finally got up and flagged a bus person for water. Time passed and still no waiter. I asked a passing waiter who our server would be, and he took our order. Another long wait for our steaks which arrived undercooked and had to be sent back. The simple baked potato was undercooked too. Another long wait and my husband's steak came back overcooked. We complained and they comp'ed his steak. We grabbed a few bites and left for tennis."

"LG's has been an integral part of our group's annual pilgrimage to the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament and has NEVER disappointed, even to the most food snobbish of our group. Expensive yes, somewhat annoying that EVERYTHING is ala carte yes, but the reward is a top quality steak exactly prepared and a caesar salad that is composed tableside old school and delicious. Wine list/pricing is surprisingly within reason. Just put financial logic aside and give it a go, it won't disappoint!"

"Food was very good however we had to send one steak back as it was greatly over cooked. To our surprise they charged us for the replacement even though we had taken only one bite (we got charged for 2 steaks for one of us)! When we pointed it out they of course deleted the second charge. Good thing I checked the bill. Also, the "baked" potato was microwaved. Would likely not be my first choice for dining."

Our server, well, we weren't sure who our server was until we stopped someone and said we were ready to order. We had been sitting with our menus closed for almost 10 minutes and couldn't wait for someone to step up and say, hi, I'll be your server tonight...
End of the meal, ordered coffee with desert. When the desert was served we asked "and the coffee is coming?" NO coffee came but they made it right in the end. I'd say give this place a try after you've been to all the other steak houses in the area. More than likely, our server was just having a bad night."

"Love this restaurant! The Food, service and atmosphere are amazing! I would highly recommend this restaurant and if you are lucky enough to be seated in Joe’s section you are in for a treat. Joe cares about his customers and greets his guests very energetically. The way Joe explains the Dinner specials is so entertaining, he cracks us up every time.
