The most sophisticated and elegant restaurant in the MSG and Penn station area. If you are waiting for your train or going to a show at the garden.... Seven is the ideal place. We Serve Lunch Dinner and also a Tapas menu. The Tapas menu is only served in the front Lounge and the bar area.
"Anyone interested in a good restaurant within walking distance of the Garden should make it a point to eat here...The swordfish, Pork chop and pasta dishes were wonderful...reasonably priced with a nice decor as well!"

"Everyone was underwhelmed with their food. I had a grilled chicken caesar salad which was bland and the grilled chicken breast seemed to be of very low quality (dark) and over cooked. One person had the Fish Tacos and the fish was overcooked as well. The truffle potato cigars were delicious but the potato filling was scalding. The restaurant should warn when serving...Nice decor, good service but the food doesnt match the expectation. It's not inedible just not remarkable. Considering the price points, I would not return."

"Not many choices in the immediate neighborhood. Very good food, nice looking place. No one at the front of the house to greet diners for about 3-4 minutes - not a good sign. Place is packed at dinner time. Very noisy at the bar and upstairs. Waited 15 minutes for our server. She was very good, but clearly had too many tables. Way too frenetic. Couldnt hear across the table to my dinner companion. By 8:15 PM the place is deserted Won't go back"

"Forget the picture on the website. They sat us in a corner upstairs. I felt as though we were punished because the reservations were made on open table. There were tables open down stairs and even offered a generous tip to sit there, however, the still sat us in the corner facing the wall. I would not go back"

"This is the perfect spot if you a looking for a nice place to eat prior to or following an event at MSG. Conveniently two blocks away. Food was superb, as I personally got the Tiger Shrimp Lump Crab, which was excellent. Others in my party also ordered the Apple Walnut Stuffed Pork Chop, which looked very appetizing. Ambiance was nice and the restaurant was full at 7pm on a Saturday. Service was also very good. I would certainly recommend."

"If you are looking for a quiet romantic evening with good food and service, this is it! We enjoyed the Tappas and ate in the lounge area. The food was amazing with a perfect atmosphere. Seven Bar and Grill was the perfect start to a wonderful evening which included a show at MSG. The restaurant even featured music by the performer that we had come to the city to see that night. They really warmed us up for the show!"

"The Tapas menu was very good and varied for people with all types of foodies--vegans and meat-eaters alike. You can only be served the tapas menu in the "lounge" or at the bar. There were 3 of us and we asked to sit in the lounge, but it was just a small space in the front windows, which felt a little it was an area that was a "second thought"...the bar and booths in the main restaurant was a much nicer venue. We didn't have a lot of time so the lounge did suit our purpose. We ordered 5 of the tapas (which are grouped in price...pretty reasonable...I think we got 5 for $43), but the small cafe tables that they had in the lounge didn't accommodate receiving them all at once. Great place to hit if going to Madison Square Garden show."

"Out of all the restaurants in NYC, we tried this one because we were meeting people and it was close to the hotel. Worst "nice" restaurant I've eaten in in awhile. The "special" short ribs were boneless and tasteless. The pork chops were blah. I had the swordfish (thin and no spices, I could have been eating chicken), served with exactly 2 fingerling potatoes and a bit of broccolli. We are not big eaters, but the portions were barely filling. I forgot what my husband had, it was so not memorable. And not cheap, considering. Definitely would NOT ever go back. There are way too many restaurants in NYC to waste your time here..."

"Enjoyed drinks and apps at the bar. While the bartender wasn't the most attentive, the food was pretty good, the drinks were good and well priced and the ambiance was great. Nice spot, especially in this neighborhood, for happy hour or a classy meal."
