Food culture is very important to the kitchen at Le Vigne Restaurant, more specifically, local food culture. We believe that food and the sharing of food builds community, especially if the food and wine that is shared is rooted within the community. That is why we not only produce wine that is grown in our own back yard, but we also grow a lot of our vegetables on the property. What we don’t produce ourselves, we strive to find within or nearby our community. We want to be able to provide our customers with local, sustainable foods as well as provide the local artisans and farmers with an outlet for their hard work. At the beautiful Le Vigne Restaurant, situated high above the vineyards, guests will discover a dedication to honoring the flavors of our region throughout each of the four seasons in a menu that changes regularly to reflect the best of what is available.
"Really enjoyed a delicious lunch at this beautiful winery in Dahlonega. Food and service were great, beautiful setting. Make sure you follow the winery's directions on the website, don't trust your GPS!"

"I surprised my husband with romantic dinner here. It was our first time to Le Vigne at Montaluce, and we were thoroughly impressed! We are admittedly foodies--food snobs--so needless to say, our critiques of most restaurants are staunch. But the food at Le Vigne left nothing to be desired! Everything on the menu sounded fantastic. We wanted to try everything. We started with a bottle of Centurio. The wine was fabulous! Then we had a gouda cheese plate along with a prosciutto and fig preserve plate. It was presented beautifully, but presentation is nothing without the good food to back it up. And this did not fail! Our entrees were just as beautiful and tasty! He had the pork shoulder and I had the meatballs. AWESOME!"

"The Montaluce complex struck us as suffering from an identity crisis. Is it a winery, an event venue, a development or a restaurant? The restaurant atmosphere is lovely and the views are spectacular. I ordered the smoked salmon small plate. The presentation was interesting but the variety of flavors on the plate fought each other. My husband started with the squash soup. The squash flavor was completely overwhelmed by maple to the point of being very sweet. My entre of halibut entailed the most perfectly seared halibut. However it was awash in a sea of foam. My husband's pork shoulder was perfectly cooked but again lost in a sea of flavors. Our server neglected to ever serve bread to our table and in general seemed disinterested."

"Our leisurely lunch at LeVigne can only be described as the perfect dining experience. Our servers were friendly and accomodating - but not hovering, allowing us to savor each delectable course to the fullest. The menu offers a wonderful variety of palate-pleasing, artfully plated appetizer and entrees that can mixed and matched with complimenting wine selections. The menu offers an opportunity for adventure; a chance to experiment with new combinations of taste. It is fun! Since the restaurant sits atop a hill overlooking the vineyards nestled in the North GA Mts, the view is simply breath-taking. We left LeVigne feeling relaxed, replenished, and restored."

"The food was fantastic, albeit a little over priced for its simplicity. The wine is fantastic and the staff is great. The crowd is a little pretentious and the service is very slow. It took 3 hours for us to get a cheese plate, a meat plate and four entrees-all with a restaurant that had maybe 4 tables full the whole time we were there.
The staff was very sweet and put up with our group after a long day of wine tasting and traveling.
Overall, the food was good, but not someplace to go if you're on a schedule."

"The dining experience at Le Vigne restaurant at Montaluce Winery Estates is well worth the one hour, twenty minute drive from our home. It is one of our very favorite places to take house guests for a unique and delcious lunch or brunch. The atmosphere is upscale, yet relaxed and casual. The restaurant offers a serene view, overlooking the picturesque vineyards with a mountain backdrop. We enjoy the nice variety of specialty cheeses and wines and it is always a treat to try out a new menu entree. Every thing we have tried on the menu has been delicious, fresh, flavorful, and memorable!"

"My wife and I found La Vigne at Montaluce Winery via a Google search. We had lunch there Apr 3, 13. The food was excellent as was the wine. It is NE of Dahlonega GA not far from Atlanta. The scenery was outstanding as we had a view of a vineyard and a spectacular mountain view from where we dined."

"My husband and I regularly take guests to our North Georgia cabin to Le Vigne. Overall food and wine were gret with a few minor exceptions: - when we ordered fried green tomatoes the server said he could bring aioli to go with them. When they arrived it was missing and we pointed it out to two servers and it never came. Neither of them bothered to check back. - they were out of Viognier, a huge disappointment as it is our favorite Montaluce wine
On the plus side, it was nice to see thatthey replaced the badly water damaged counter in the ladies room with granite. And thank you for serving amountain Valley pork; it is awesome!
We will be back!"

"We have been to Montaluce a numerous times and have enjoyed each experience. We will use almost any excuse to make the trip to spend a couple hours having a wonderful flight of wines with a great meal. The service has always been great. I have, and will continue, to recommend Montaluce to my friends and family."

"Comfortable - yet upscale dining. Chef selections were creative, fresh, tasteful, and "eye candy" related to presentation. Winery (wine selections) paired well with the entrees. Serving sizes were generous but not over the top. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered insight and information regarding unfamiliar items - but allowed us to make our own decisions. Definitely a "special" experience fitting for a "special" occassion. We would highly recommend the location, venue, menu, wine, and atmosphere. We hope to visit again one day."

"The wine was average I had a white flight. They were out of 2 of the 5 so they sub in a dessert wine which was really sweet and a non description rose. Two other whites had a thick honey taste. The smoked salmon had a fantastic presentation and tasted delicious with smoked blueberries creamy goat cheese, creme fraise and 10 caviar eggs. The chicken leg confit with greens was just average in taste."

"This is an absolutely beautiful setting in the mountains of North Georgia. The only problem is that finding it at night can be frightening. There are NO lights to speak of, other than a moon, if there happens to be one. We arrived this time around dusk, so we could see the outline of the large cedar or cypress trees, which mark the entrance from the main road to the Montaluce development. After entering, as long as it is light, one can make out some small signs that are on posts with arrows pointing toward the restaurant, and other destinations within the development. However, these are different colors, not discernible from one another after dark. Great food, but desserts need to come back to basics."

"Overall experience was good. The service was as reported, poor. We received the meals for the couple beside us, and a family of four behind us received our first course. Simply poor management and/or poor communication between the kitchen to wait staff.
Food was great and the views and atmosphere was worth the drive. Improve service and this will be a Culinary Gem."

"We have dined at the Montaluce on several occasions and had great service but on this night they appeared to be overwhelemed. They also were out of several types of wines and beers, understanding that this was Valentines Day and the crowds were going to be larger, seems that they didnt prepare well. Still one of the best fine dinning locations in the North Ga. Mountains."

"Wanted to share my experience at Montaluce. It began with wine tasting and cheese. I'll try to describe.....goat cheese with berry compote, salted feta with sourwood honey, bleu cheese with raspberry and gouda with wildflower honey. Freshly made scones and blue cornmeal muffins with herbed olive oil. Two small plates consisting of smoked salmon (which was delivered to the table with a smoke filled cloche-when removed filled the room with wonderful aroma) presented with pickled okra, creme fraiche, steelhead roe and mixed berry compote. [pardon the presentation-we began tasting before I took the pic!] Next came pork belly with delicate vidalia bulbs, hedgehog mushrooms, micro greens and homemade chicharrones. Lastly-banana cake covered with"
