"My girlfriend and I had out two year anniversary dinner. We got to see the sunset on the patio while we waited for our appetizer. It was a great evening. My only complaint was that I had requested a table with a window view and I had to remind them after they tied to put is at one that was set back without much of a view. Overall it's a fantastic place for a romantic dinner."

"I have had dinner at Elements but had never been in for lunch and I'm sorry i did. While the food was lovely the lunchtime service was awful. When I go to a place like Elements I expect the service to be as beautiful as the food and in this case the service diminished the whole experience."

"Everything was very good from the valet who was personable to our table, the hostess suggesting a seat with the best view to the wonderful food. My only suggestion is for the young male server (who did a very good job over all) to not refer to grown women as "girls". He did this repeatedly and it was offensive.

"Had a late lunch at Elements while on vacation in Scottsdale. Perhaps my expectation level was too high. Food was decent and service was OK, but not outstanding. Both my date and I ordered the Bento boxes for lunch - salmon and ahi tuna. Both proteins were cooked perfect and were very tasty but the rest of the ingredients were just so-so. A little pricey and the view was not as great or memorable as some prior web comments had led us to believe. Will leave this off the 'must visit' restaurant list for a repeat visit if we are in the area again."

"Despite noting in our Open Table reservation that it was our anniversary and that we wished for a table with a view, we were initially seated at a table right next to the serving station and adjacent to a large party along the bar noisily celebrating a birthday. However, once we asked to be seated at another table, we were moved to a much quieter location with much more privacy. "We were seated at an undesirable table. We asked the hostesses to please be moved and were told we could not - there were no other tables, however, the restaurant was half empty. After we threatened to leave, we were seated and spoke with a manager.
After that, things were much better. Food was delicious and waiter was excellent.
Restaurant is very good, but for the prices - the hostesses need much better manners."

"Went with 2 friends on our retreat weekend. Best food of the stay for this picky trio from nyc sfo and boston. We had the calamari (my favorite) and tuna apps. Salmon (nice), rib eye special (good cut but flavor masked a bit by mesquite) & filet in bacon (very good). Peanut butter dessert awesome - mason jar good. Go 15 min before sunset to take in the scenery from the patio with drink in hand - our evening was made better by prosecco from the start ;). The only negative was the awkward flow of sections with captains table blocking the flow to outdoors - they need some feng shui help here. That said - the place was hopping and is a local favorite."

"Elements at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain is a real treat! Every aspect of a client's comfort and pleasure is dealt with seamlessly and professionally, from the seating process through the meal and to the departure! The position of the setting sun is even taken into consideration in ensuring our comfort. The two of us ordered different appetizers and entrees and were thoroughly delighted with all of them. They were recommended by our excellent server, Sean, who was very knowledgeable regarding each item on the menu and what might best suit our tastes. We will surely return on our next visit to Phoenix."

The food was outstanding, the setting magnificent and the service was attentive but not intrusive. while there were a lot of people in the restaurant, it was still quite easy to carry on a conversation, which is important to us. The menu was inventive and although many of us ordered the same thing (Sea Bass and Kale Salad with a Foie Gras for the table), there were many other choices. Our server, Nathan, was helpful."

"This is my first restaurant review I have ever written.
We have had drinks at the Sanctuary several times before. The atmosphere at the outside bar
is very nice, however this was our first time eating at Elements.
The service was terrible and the food was only average. It was a Saturday night and there
were several celebrities dining that night. The entire staff, including the Chef went out of there way to cater to the celebrity crowd. Unfortunately this was at the expense of the rest of the patrons. It took us over 45 minutes to receive our first drink. My wife & I both had the short rib, which was average. The best part of this restaurant is the view. My advise would be to avoid a Friday or Saturday."

"I had heard wonderful reviews of elements so I had high expectations that, unfortunately, were not met. There is one caveat - I ordered two vegetarian dishes, which perhaps aren't the best reflection of what elements has to offer. That said, I found it pricey and a bit uninspired. I found the menu over-promised on what was delivered. The food aside, the service and ambiance were both great - a romantic, beautiful setting and service that was attentive but not overbearing."

"absolutely delicious food and spectacular view. We weren't very hungry when we arrived (appetizers at our hotel) so we each only had one course. Chicken was unbelieveably good, cripsy with delicious sauce. Bread was the best we've ever had, hot with a very crisp crust. Only off things were: they said our choice of entrees meant a 25 min wait, and they appeared about 2 minutes later, and the person who ordered 2 small courses instead of an entree was served both at once, even though asked if she wanted one first and one later. However, nothing could mar the experience of great food and"

"We enjoyed our meal, especially the beautiful view. The plain sour dough bread with plain olive oil was a little disappointing. An interesting bread, butter, oil or spread would have been nice. We had a good meal, but being from the NY area, I would rate the food as average for a high end restaurant. The service was great and overall we would recommend Elements."

"A wonderful time. After an initial confusion by the outside wait staff ( made good by an apology and a round of drinks ) we found the service spectacular, especially by Ashley, a transplanted Jersey girl. On a special note, we appreciated that it was remembered we were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary, and my wife's birthday. The deserts, which were graciously provided, had written on the plate, in Chocolate " Happy Anniversary" and " Happy Birthday " on the other. The food ??? , well, we did not want to embarrass ourselves by licking the bowls & plates clean, it was that good.

"The ambiance is outstanding, and service excellent. However, the food was just not that great, especially for the price. The steak was exceptional, but the pork chops were a bit dry, and the dessert was actually not good at all (we had the chocolate one in the ball jar); dry and like a burnt brownie. I expected more. This was supposed to be a special anniversary dinner. We left spending $200, plus the cost of a babysitter, and it was simply not worth it. I am very disappointed as this place came as a recommendation from friends. We will not be back."

"My husband and I had brunch on Easter Sunday and were very pleased with our experience. We were immediately seated in an area with a view and separate from the main dining area, which was very noisy with it being Easter Sunday. Our wait staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful throughout our meal. There was a nice variety of salads, fruits, cheeses in the buffet section, along with shrimp and crab legs. We had a choice of entrees and both of ours were excellent. I especially liked my eggs benedict with steak, which was almost tender enough to cut with a fork. The dessert buffet was outstanding with a great variety of light pastries. The meal was expensive for a brunch, but then, it was Easter Sunday!"

"Elements is set atop Camelback Mountain, overlooking a tranquil infinity pool, with the silhouettes of hilltops in the background. The floor to ceiling windows allow most patrons to enjoy this gorgeous view, but for a special few who can score them, there are cozy, private booths that are directly in front of the windows.
The food has an Asian influence and appetizers and main courses are all remarkable. Our guests loved the tuna tartare and I was blown away by my chilled crab moo shoo. The short rib, salmon and chili pepper shrimp all scored very high marks.
The service was generally good, although a lot of time passed between our cocktails and first courses.
Elements is truly notable."

"My husband and I had wanted to try this restaurant on a recent visit to AZ-we decided to go for a romantic lunch so we could enjoy the view-which proved to be delightful.We had asked for a quiet table and although there were only 3 tables occupied inside we were placed next to a table where a business meeting was going on-hardly the romantic feel we were looking for. The server on the other hand was sweet and attentive. The food was good but not exceptional. My husband had the frittata with salmon and I the hangar steak bento box, which was not much different than we would have in our local Japanese restaurant.The miso soup was more bland than usual and there was lots of sauteed cabbage to fill out the box."

"ABSOLUTELY the best views in town. Be sure to look up during your drive up to the restaurant to appreciate the Praying Monk. Once in the restaurant, the views of Camelback and the sparkling lights of neighborhood homes in the dark evening is magical. The service and food is impeccable. Bring a romantic partner or double-date with a couple you enjoy lively conversations with in these beautiful surroundings. For us, it was inviting our best friends visiting from Chicago. They were speechless!!"
