La Boca is an Argentine style steakhouse with our entire menu focused on the national food of Argentina, beef. 13 different cuts on any given night accompanied with legendary french fries and house made pastas. The wine list is entirely from Argentina with Malbec being the focus. Maitre'd of the Year Orestes Rodriguez will greet you at the door and make sure your stay is as fulfilling as the food.

"The food here is great I've never had steaks this tender. The steaks melt in your mouth. The side dishes are very good too. I had the corn pudding it was good. The place is very friendly makes yiu feel wrlcome. I will go here again. It is a little pricey"

"Solid Argentine-type steakhouse, with unexpectedly fantastic gnocchi (strongly suggest it as a shared appetizer, they indicated they make it in-house daily). While they offer three sauces to compliment the steak, the meat was well seasoned and tasty on its own. Deep selection of Malbec by the glass, but a bit pricey for the more interesting wines.
Located in a cool area of the city (lofts, galleries and restaurants/bars).
Nice to see ethnic inspired spots like this trending in New Orleans and offering locals alternatives to our old favorites."

"We are a couple of larger New York and New Jersey guys. We have been coming to this restaurant since before it was zagat rated. It is a quaint room only enough room for about 47 guests. The atmosphere is great. The chef and manager frequently came over to check on us. The trading with choice of steak got 7 people to agree on 1 thing "the food is great here" steaks were great cuts cooked to perfection. The housegnochi was with the 857 mile motorcycle ride the day before. That alone should tell you how good this place is."

"The food as always was great, the manger he is always wonderful in explaining things but this time the waitress we had was not good she was not very knowledgable and was not very friendly and we had to ask for drink refill and she was reaching in front of others sitting at the table and he had to move his head she was picking up plates and almost elbowed him in the face. As I said this is our first bad experience from the staff I hope our last this is to good of food to have a not so good staff"

"For a meat spot, the brushetta with smoked drum and onion jam was remarkably good; the wine and liquor service with the knowledgeable and friendly sommelier excellent; the sauces for the meat flavorful, and the meat was alright. The sweetbreads were a large offering, grilled perfectly, with only a lemon wedge to add more flavor; the slow-cooked silver-lined steak was a tad dry, tasted without the sauces or sea salt just the way beef ribs do. Next time, a rib-eye steak. Waiters and waitstaff were helpful and attentive, place had a very nice feel to it."

"If I were going to the electric chair, this would be the venue for my last meal. Order EVERYTHING... Heart of palm salad, gnocchi, fried Brussells sprouts, garlic fries, chorizo, provaleta...and SKIRT STEAK. I have sent several people to LaBoca with a promise to refund their money if they don't like the skirt steak. It may not be something you'd normally order, but you really should. It is melt in your mouth delicious and the leftovers are great the next morning with fried eggs and grits. Trust me. :-)"

"When we arrived at 5:30 we were the first to enter. I had a reservation. I asked for a table on the left side of the bar as they have large groups on the right side and it get very loud and hard to talk. There was no one else in the resturant at the time but they would not give me a table on the side I wanted but gave me one up by the front and said it would be ok there.
About 15 minutes after we arrived a large group arrived and they converted the two tables next to us for them and we could barely hear ourselves talk.
This is the second time this has happened to me at Laboca. Why they would not give us a table on the other side as there was no one there when we came in is a mystery to me."

"Extremely disappointed with La Boca. Extremely tight space, obnoxiously loud, pathetic selection of beer, and one of the unfriendliest servers we've ever encountered. The server, let's call him Josh, spoke approximately 20 words to us the entire time. Josh sported a lumberjack beard and had all the personality of a rock stuck in the mud. The beef tenderloin, one of the most expensive items on the menu, had a taste and texture akin to my father's pot roast, but chewier. The sirloin flap was okay, but still on par with Outback. The only redeeming part of the experience was the provoleta cheese appetizer... Very respectable portion but we wished we hadn't sent the leftovers away when the entrees arrived."

"My husband and I dine around the city every week visiting everything from Lilette, Patois, Clancy's, Martinique and Dominique's.
We just recently visited La Boca and I have never in my entire life in any city(New Orleans, New York, Paris, Rome, Buenos Aires)ever had such horrible customer service. They were rude and did not acknowledge us as we were seated. They rushed us to finish our meal as they said a reservation was coming and they needed our table. However, we were ordering bottles of wine and eating the pre-fixe menu
I can't say I could ever return here or recommend it- and please note that there were 2 4 tops open as we left and when we walked by a hour later, our table that they so rudely rushed us out for was also still OPEN."

"Knowledgeable and helpful service staff. Outstanding steaks cooked perfectly and very good wines. A nice change from the typical New Orleans steakhouse experience-- the steaks aren't brought out on a plate of sizzling butter. An overall great experience."

"My wife's ribeye was superb. My hanger steak was juicy but oversalted. The grilled asparagus was amazing. Who knew you could give asparagus a smoky flavor? The fries were crispy and delicious. A fine experience and well worth a visit."

"The food was outstanding. We had the flank and filet along with the delicious fries. Wine list was great and the bar tender provided excellent service. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were seated at what seemed to be the worst table in the entire restaurant. We felt completely blocked in. When we requested to be seated elsewhere, we were abruptly advised by the hostess that they were completely full and no other option was offered. It was my husband who suggested we sit at the table and thankfully the bar tender was awesome recovering our experience. Even the gentleman who was walking around apparently as maitre d didn't come check on us almost until the end of our meal. As i mentioned, the food was great but the service lacked."

"One of only a handful of true Argentine steakhouses currently in the United States. Excellent quality, especially the meat, large portions and reasonable prices given these attributes. Can recommend the chorizo and grilled "provoleta" appetizers. Also recommend the "mollejas," grilled sweetbreads entree and accompanying "papa fritas." For dessert, must try the "panqueques de dulce de leche," an Argentine staple, although sprinkling the powdered cinnamon on top is not typical. Absent making the trek to Buenos Aires for asado, La Boca is a worthy substitute."
