A forum for Lincoln Center’s performing arts culture for nearly 30 years, Café Fiorello features a sprawling bar filled with more than 50 kinds of antipasti. Finished in warm wood, brass and mirrors, the main dining room suggests a timeless charm. "As a semi-regular at Cafe Fiorello this last visit was a genuine disappointment. The main culprit was a server who was more abrupt, on the point of rudeness, and not professional. Hr brought the check before our meal was finished, plunked it down on the table and said "my shift is ending". He also charged for two cups of coffee when only one was ordered and served. We let it pass because he said "Oh, I'll have to redo the whole check."
Our out-of-town guests said they would not come back to Cafe Fiorello. It should also be noted that between the appetizer and main course there was at least a thirty to thirty five minute wait and the food, when it came, was warm, not hot.
Do hope this was just an off-night."

"We informed the waiter of our Met curtain and he took care of everything. We sat in an upper alcove off the main floor....it was quiet and great. We often dine here and always felt special thanks to the entire staff....from the front podium to the chocolate breaker which we enjoy on our departure."

"My review is that we were there to celebrate Mother's Day, being in NY for only three days. The food was good, well cooked and tasty. But the noise level was so high we could hardly carry on a conversation. We don't think we'll return to Fiorellos."

"I'm a frequent visitor for Saturday brunch and occasionally for dinner. Fiorello's is across the street from the Metropolitan Opera. It's a convenient stop for brunch or dinner before or after a performance. The food is consistently outstanding, the service impeccable, and the salad bar second to none. It can, however, get very noisy, though the food and service never disappoint."

"Right across the street from Lincoln Center, Fiorello is very lively from 5:30 to 7:30. The restaurant does an admirable job in getting people to the theatre ontime. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Some of the dishes i.e. lasagna and pizza are really too big for one person. The antipasti are the best and various combinations are available or one can simply go to the bar and choose.
After 7:30 things quiet down and even though it is a large space, the noise level becomes acceptable for conversation.
In the warm months, the outdoor seating is always pleasant."

"I often dine here with friends before the opera. My only criticism this time was the vegetarian antipasto bar: the entrees that should have been hot (potato pie, sausage and peppers) weren't! I've eaten here before, so know the difference. :)"

"This is my second time at this restaurant. Service is terrible - food was not great. The ingredients were good, but the pasta was too cold when served; almost gave me the impression that they defrosted something and took it out of the oven/microwave too early. I chose this place to impress my guests but felt really embarrassed. Will never come here again, since I've been disappointed twice."

"Love this place! My only complaint is they change the menu all the time and take off great things! We eat here all the time because we live up the street and the food is always great. "Burrata Appetizer was phenomenal! Mozzarella cheese was creamy and flavorful, and the vegetables were bright and delicious. The artichokes alla Giudaea were crispy, not greasy. We were a foursome and the appetizers were so filling we only ordered 2 entrees and shared. The lasagna is magnificient. I would recommend this restaurant with all my heart. I usually come here before going to the opera, so even on a tight time frame, they deliver. The service is attentive, but not intrusive. Simply wonderful in every respect."

"A wonderful dinner. Portions tend to be large and many can be shared. The restaurant tends robe noisy and the tables are lose together but it all works in the upper west side eatery."

"We absolutely love this restaurant and eat at it every time we are in NYC. We would recommend it highly. The food is fabulous, the services is excellent, and the management makes sure that everything is perfect."

"Fiorello's has upped their prices, packed the restaurant with more tables so that there is little space to move. the maitre'd was inexperienced had people stacked up waiting for tables. with the outside seating there is a shortage of waiters inside the restaurant, so that we had to wait to be seat to place our drink orders and food orders. They tried to stuff three people at atable barely big enough to seat two."

"I live near Lincoln Center. I generally leave my neighborhood to get a good meal, since I feel most of the restaurants here are mediocre "captive audience" places. But I was dining with friends who were going to the opera and had little choice. We went to Fiorello's. I hadn't been there for a very long time. It was great. The room was pleasant and relaxing; the food was delicious; and the waiter was charming. We had excellent selections from the antipasti bar; great starters; delicious main courses; and really excellent desserts -- I had a meringue cream pie. It was pretty expensive, but I recommend it highly!"

"This lively spot across from Lincoln Center has terrific food. We go for their unique open-faced lasagna, the delicious salad bar selections, a special meringue cake, and the tasty chocolate in a bowl on the way out. Welcoming hosts make it a pleasant, friendly experience, despite the crowds of pre-Lincoln Center attendees."

"Terrific for pre-Lincoln Center dining. They always manage to produce quite decent to delicious food in very short order. Three veggie appetizer as a main course is not only a delicious light pre-theater meal but also well priced. Which fact balances the outrageous price of wine by-the-glass."
