We are located in downtown Gainesville in the historic Pilgrim Estes building. Our menu offers a wide range of choices from USDA Prime, hand cut steaks, the freshest seafood and local produce with seasonally inspired weekly specials. With a wine list of over 150 wines,many by the glass you will certainly be able to find a perfect match for your menu selection. Enjoy one of our five private dining rooms for two to celebrate that special occasion or one of our larger rooms for social and business events. "The table was ready even though I had to change the reservations a few times to include and exclude some people. We arrived before our group and decided to wait on the couches till they got there. Our table was centrally located and about mid way through the live entertainment arrived so we had some music..not too loud just right for background . Service was great and we did not have to wait too long for the food. I have been here for lunches as well. Everything is good...have not had a bad meal yet and I always try something different. I would recommend Scott's to anyone for a great gourmet meal at a reasonable price in a great area. Make reservations on weekend nights."

"Had lunch on Mother's Day with a party of 8. We enjoyed the food; however server was not responsive and due to the fact that all he had to do was fill drink orders we were very unhappy with service. Our glasses were empty for most if our time dining. The restaurant only had 4 high chairs for toddlers so we had to hold the baby in our lap until one became available. While standing in line at the food tables many guests were complaining about empty serving dishes. Food was very good and very nice atmosphere."

"This was our first time dining in the new location. In addition to the main dining area, I noticed that they have a large, private room that appeared to be able to accommodate a very large group. There were also tables set up outside and others inside along the windows. Once of the window tables appeared to be surrounded by plush, wing chairs. We opted for a private, secluded table for two. The music was a just the right volume to be able to hear it but still be able to converse quietly. They were more than willing and able to work around my dietary restrictions (lactose and gluten intolerant). I have never had a disappointing meal at Scott's. The Chilean Sea Bass was easily one of the best meals I've ever eaten. You need to eat here."

"Took my wife for her birthday and she enjoyed it very much. The waiter was great and was very attentive to our needs and did an excellent job. We have been bragging to everyone how nice the environment was and what a wonderful place it is. The food was exceptional and I could not have expected it to be any better than what it was. We will definitely be revisiting soon and bringing friends with us the next time."

"Excellent food and great service is what we can always count on at Scott's. Scott's new location is just as cozy and comfortable as his last one. I always enjoy his menu and his wine and drinks. We are Lakeview parents and even though the Lakeview Prom was upstairs at the same time, our dinner we had in the restaurant was still cozy and quiet.

"I made reservations two weeks in advance, and went to the restaurant in person to scope it out for a special occasion. I asked if I could reserve a certain table in the restaurant and was told that it would not be a problem and that they would take care of that for me. Upon arriving for my reservation, we were seated in a table other than the one I asked to be reserved. We waited 20 minutes before anyone attended to us at all. My water glass was filled with dust and had fuzz in it. When someone came to the table, she poured water into the dusty glass and I suppose she expected me to drink from it. We waited another 10 minutes before our server came, and when he finally did, my date and I had decided to leave. Poor experience."

"My family and I got together for Easter Brunch as we do every year, we try different places and we all agreed that Scotts Downtown was fantastic. The restaurant was beautiful, there are seperate rooms that will accomodate a party of 2 up to a larger group like ours of 9+. "We LOVE Scott's!!!! We had an awesome lunch Friday. Upon entering the resturant we were greeted with a smile and seated promptly. The new location is amazing and comfortable. Our server was Clint who always goes the extra mile to make sure you feel at home. Our food was perfect in every way from the salads to the main dish. The food is always on point. The menu has an endless list of food selection that will please everyone. The food is fresh and made to order but if you are visiting for lunch you will still make it back to work on time:) lunch and dinner is always out of this world."

"We are from Tampa Fla, and moved here a year ago. We normally go to Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa Fla. It is a very well known place. Well I must say the Scott's beats that.. You need to expand to Florida.... We will be back a lot more.. No complaints on anything.."

"Everyone in our group of 10 was happy with this choice of restaurant. The food, service and ambiance....excellent. What we appreciated the most was we were able to sit where we could see each other and we could enjoy conversation. I know of one lady who returned for an evening dinner with her husband and Facebook how much they enjoyed it. Perhaps others returned....they said they would. Scott's is a gem for our area!"

"The food was excellent, the live Jazz band was wonderful, but i have to admit the disappointing part of our experience was the service. The server was not very attentive--he brought out our bottle of wine, but never bothered to refill our glasses (we had to do it ourselves), it took him forever to bring us more water--even after we asked him and another server, it took several minutes for him to bring us more. We had to ask him for a basket of bread AFTER we noticed all of the other tables had baskets of bread. From where my husband was sitting he could see our server spent most of his time tending to other tables instead of ours.
The food was excellent, but for the $150 we spent on our meal, I was expecting better service."

"Our reservations were on Valentine's Day evening. The place is very nice. They had a set menu which everything we got was very good. The only complaint I have is that they sat us in the very back of the restaurant against the wall by a closet and right next to another table which we were very close to the other couple also placed back there. It was not very romantic and I did request a quiet table in the main dining area since I had not been there before. Be sure to ask for a table up front by the street in or in the private alcoves if they are available. The main dining area is more spread out too but the tables against the mirrored wall were way too close for comfort. We will go back to try the regular menu."
