“Cross the bridge and escape to Mexico … it’s only five minutes away!”
Fuego is an everyday celebration by the sea, reminiscent of beach town vacations experienced in Mexico. As you enter the restaurant, you will enjoy a lively bar featuring a menu of modern Latin cocktails, margaritas, and the region’s largest selection of tequila.
The adjacent room seats 60 for both dining and drinking pleasure. The colorful décor is designed by awarding-winning DPS Interiors.
A true feature of Fuego is its use of both indoor and outdoor space. An expansive patio with seating for an additional 80 guests enjoys a commanding waterfront view of downtown Long Beach.
The breakfast menu features a variety of both American and Mexican specialties. The dinner menu features authentic Mexican cuisine with a focus on marisco (fresh seafood) platters. Everything is served in the spirit of sharing on unique and colorful tableware.

"Loved the ambiance, but customer service is very poor. After we got seated, did not see our waiter until after 10-15 minutes later, took our drink orders which took about 15-20 minutes to get our drinks, even plain water, and took a while to get our food orders, and barely saw our waiter afterwards. We had to get another waiter's attention to get what we need and even the food server paid better attention to us after seeing our wobbly food table and offered to fix it. After spending $200+ for party of 5, I'm very disappointed for the services provided, which is too bad because I thought about having a group dinner here in the future and I'm not coming back here."

"We have been to Fuego in the past and loved it, but this time our food was exceptional! Everything was perfectly prepared, a memorable meal! We spoke to the manager and heard a rumor that they will have music soon....... Can't wait to see that too!
It was very nice to go to one our favorite restaurants and have things get better, that is not always the case. Keep up the good work Chef!"

"My wife and I were looking forward to a nice evening your Fuego Restaurant to celebrate a special event. We had evening reservations and left in plenty of time to arrive, or so we thought. Used my nav system. When we got close we noticed that the police had blocked off several of the roads that the GPS system had us use to get to the restaurant. We immediately called you and had extreme difficulty having anyone pick up the phone. Finally after the 7th try a man picked up. We asked for alternate directions and he replied that he was not from the area and could not tell us how to get there. We even told him we were very near the Queen Mary but still he was confused on how to guide us in. We finally gave up and went home. NOT GOOD!"

"My only complaint, was that we had a 9:45 reservation, and were entertaining out of town company. They literally took the dishes off the table at 11:00 for their brunch service, which I assumed I had made a reservation for."

"Open Table listed the location as possible for a 10:00 reservation, which we booked. We received a phone call from the restaurant that the kitchen actually closes at 10:00 and could we come a little earlier. This is on Open Table for listing the timeslot as available. Be aware if you are looking for a late night eat. We arrived around 9:30 PM. The waitress was knowledgeable about the food, and the food was good, but we found ourselves looking for her several times throughout our meal. There was only one other table with guests, but she was usually not present. When there, she was extremely helpful. I would go there again, and would have loved to sit outside to enjoy the view a little more , but it was too cold and windy."

"I am disappointed with the quality of service. I do not think they have enough servers for brunch. Food was not hot. Coffee was cold. They do not clear the table. For the price they should provide more servers for brunch."
