Coco Palm
Havana meets Madrid at Coco Palm, the beautiful hilltop restaurant overlooking the San Gabriel Valley. Begin your evening with a Mojito or Sangria in the lounge, and then enjoy dinner while listening to our house music in the elegant restaurant, specializing in traditional Spanish and Cuban cuisine. Don't miss the Paelia Valencia or the House Steak, a 56oz bone-in rib chop for sharing. A variety of fresh seafood is available daily - from lobster and shrimp to fresh salmon in Albarino wine sauce or loin of Sea Bass in a Mango-miso sauce.
Afterwards, show your moves in the Coco Room where every Friday we offer free salsa lessons, followed by a live twelve-piece salsa band.
On Sundays we offer a spectacular all-you-can-eat Champagne Brunch, and an all-you-can-eat lunch is served daily.
Valet Parking is mandatory on most nights, $5/vehicle.

"This is a great place to go for special occasions or for a romantic dinner. The food is absolutely great and I would love to go back. Although it is a little pricey, I would definitely go again. The only this that was a down fall for me was that as I was walking across the room, there was a mat on the floor covering an electrical cord and I stepped over it and I twisted my ankle. I understand that they did nothing wrong because they covered it with a mat, but I think they should not even have a cord running across the way where people will be frequently walking across on. This was my only complaint."

"Dined here a night or 2 ago for a bday. After being greeted at the door I found myself entranced by the panoramic view. In addition, I dont recall the online menu referencing the fully stocked bar however I'd definitely recommend adding this as it serves as a TOTAL attribute!
Ordered the ceviche & found it to be nothing short of "to die for"! The black beans & fresh bread were a well-added touch too. I'll also attest to the Paella & the Camarones being above reproach!
I'm a bit torn as to why we were greeted...then seated, & offered flat or sparkling water yet CHARGED FOR BOTH? I'm staring at my receipt now & "Panna Water" was $5.50 & the "Pelegrino" was $6.42. This is complete b/s & I think the restaurant should be FULLY aware of this."

"Our reservation was for 10:15 am and once we announced our party to the Hostess, we were seated immediately. Our waitress and the young man who filled our glasses and took away the finished plates were both friendly and courteous.
This was our first time at Coco Palm and we really enjoyed the service and the atmosphere. Ours was a party of five and my wife

"I made reservations for 10 with a party that turned into 14. The Coco Pam was very accommodating! The food was AMAZING! The only complaint would be toward the bar staff! Before dinner we had a few cocktails and the bartender was very distracted and did not make our drinks correct! After dinner I had 8 more people join for Salsa dancing the bartender was very rude and did not communicate drinks and showed dis-interest in being friendly! The restaurant itself was a fabulous experience!"

"The restaurant was OK. View was pretty good. Food was OK: Prime rib, omelett station was decent but the crab and shrimp did not taste fresh. Dessert was OK. Coffee and tea was charged extra. The issue I dislike the most was the crowded table arrangement. I am not big but I had trouble getting in and out my seat and navigated through other tables to go get food."

"My girlfriend and I loved it, being our first time there the entire staff was so helpful they offer us wine tasting since we didn't know what wine to get also if our glasses where almost out of wine one of the waiters will come around and fill up or cups. The food was excellent highly recommend the milanesa and the lechon and for dessert get the flan. We planning to take our mothers for the mothers day brunch."

"My experience was overall fair. I had made reservations about three weeks prior to my visit, and had requested window seating due to the special occasion of my boyfriend proposing , when I actually got there the hostess told me that there were no window seats avsilable because it was first come first serve, when I was actually there on time and I drove all the way from palms springs. That totally ruined my night, I had to wait 45 minutes for a window seat, and she then put me at a corner. We literally waited for our bill for 35 mins. The food was great, the ambiance was incredible but the service was horrible and the whole reservation system was a mess. I would have expected for such a beautiful place to be a little bit more organized."

"Upon irrival the hostes told me that it would be a few minutes before we were to be seated, with so many open tables I though it was strange. She failed to mention that they did not have a window table available immediately as I had requested on Open Table.
I proceeded to seat across from the bar and there was no waitress to assist in picking up a drink order from my group. So I walked to the bar to order my drink. We sat within 15 to 20 minutes from our arrival. The food was very good and the table service lacked a little; when I ordered the Merlot for my wife the waiter forgot about it and I had to remind him, The waiter suggested another drink for me, I agreed and he forgot about it. I remainded him at the end of the meal."

"My date and I had a wonderful tinme dining there for dinner. The view was wonderful as was the service. Everyone, the servers, helpers, the manager, were friendly and very attentive to our needs. The only drawback for me was that the halibut I ordered was overcooked and somewhat dryer than it should be such that I needed a knife to cut it. It appeared to have a hardened crust on the bottom from pan frying or griling?? On the other hand, my date ordered the Chilean Seabass and hers was excellent! That explains the four stars for the food. The sangria, chardonnay version, was excellent although I'm largely a red wine drinker. We asked for and received the recipe for it for a summer BBQ at home. That was a very kind gesture."

"We arrived early and had little wait to get a table with a view (Noted when you make reservations that you can wait for this if you want). I was really surprised how good it was after reading so so Yelp reviews. The appetizer of hot bread with black bean dip was delicious and I would have been happy to have this as my meal - doubt it could be better. For appetizers had the Coconut Shrimp which came out steaming hot but crisp and sweet. I had the Flank Steak (Ropa Vieja) which was tender, juicy and would have been enough for two. It had a smoky flavor - really good but couldnt identify it. My mate had Steak and Lobster and the steak was at least 2" thick, perfectly trimmed before it was cooked and as ordered and juicy."

We were seated upon arrival - while great seats for most along the dance floor - we asked to be seated a little ways back from the dance floor

"It was nice being here to celebrate a co-worker friend's bday, especially since it was her first time dining here. It was also nice being here on a Tuesday without the big holiday crowd (although that's very beautiful & fun, too). Us 5 enjoyed a nice brunch buffet. We loved the fried fish, it wasn't crunchy but very flavorful. Our server, Isela, was very nice but couldn't remember to bring out the bday cake until after the check and when we reminded her so it kind of spoiled the surprise. But, all in all...it was a very nice lunch and we will be back ;o)"

"We are new to the area and found Coco Palms on Opentable and have been ranting and raving about this restaurant ever since. We were waiting for our table to be cleaned and the manager came over and handed us a voucher to pay for our valet parking. Little touches like that goes a long way. Not only is the food awesome, but the portions for the appetizers and dinner plates are huge...definitely bring your appetite will you go!"

"The restaurant was absolutely wonderful. It was a late dinner for us but it was our anniversary and she really wanted to see this place. "A little on the high end cost wise but for the food selection, live entertainment, unlimited mimosas and view not to bad. With such a large variety of food I was surprised that non of what I tried ever tasted old or dried out. Very good omelet bar and friendly wait staff. It was crowded so if you plan on going make sure to have a reservation. I didn't and that was my fault. It was my first time dinning there and that was the worst part of my experiance. The seating staff was not very helpful and offered to seat me outside but it was to cold for that. I stepped aside and went to my opentable app and then made a reservation for 20 minutes from then. Since it was that easy I feel they could have just made one for me then"

"We attend two major events in January and June each year that are near CoCo Palm, so although we're out-of-towners, we head straight for 1600 Faiplex Dr....we always have a great meal. The Cuban specialties are excellent; the suggested wines are affordable and delicious, and the servers are attentive and helpful. The restaurant can host large groups and small tables simultaneously, and they serve terrific churrasco, a gigantic Tomahawk steak, authentic ropa vieja, wonderful shrimp dishes and much more. Highly recommended!"
