"We bragged about this place but no more! Guacamole that took 20 minutes to get was runny and we had to wait another 10 minutes to get our chips which made the guacamole more runny and warm , Rib Eye SPECIAL was like beef jerky! Loved this place too bad its hard to maintain FOOD quality, Service and Customer Appreciation."

"the guacamole with chips and the beef fajitas were excellent, but the chicken enchiladas were less than good,the chicken stuffing in an uncooked rolled tortilla reminded me of cat food, though I am sure it wasn't and I was hungry so I ate most of it. Enchiladas also had a kind of sweet topping that didnt sit well with me. This is an expensive mexican restaurant on the strip and it really looks like some dishes are great and others arent. A middle sized margarita was 11 dollars and it looked like a regular size served in a scotch glass...."

"We celebrated Mother's Day at El Segundo Sol. We have been here several times before so that's why we came back and it did not disappoint. The server was a little overwhelmed and short handed with food runners. She made up for that with personality and customer service. The food was great. We will certainly be back!"

"Not sure where the line between misleading and lying is, but El Segundo Sol's menu has a truth in advertising issue. "Tableside guacamole." At any other restaurant, "tableside" means just that - made AT YOUR TABLE. Using the molcajete and tejolete, servers make the quacamole AT YOUR TABLE. While you watch. Diners can dictate what to include in the dip, what to exclude, or what to have served separately. Despite a menu that claims otherwise, a bowl of already-prepared guacamole was brought to my table. I asked the manager about this. His response, "It's made by the woman standing by the bar. That's as close to the table as we can get without health department violations." The bar's a sterile environment but my table isn't? No, gracias!"

"The place was expensive for locals and since they charge you for chips and salsa, they lost some points there. But the food was good and the service was really good and it's great to sit outside on a nice evening. This is a good place for tourists but locals have more economical options with the same benefits elsewhere."

"Even in the quieter back of the restaurant, the music is very loud. Although there was a decent-size crowd on the Friday night I was there, our service was only fair. Long wait for cocktails and tableside guacamole, which was not prepared tableside. Food was great. The place is geared toward tourists, which makes it less enjoyable for locals."

"We went to El Segundo Sol with a party of 9. The waitress was dry and lacked in patience and humor. She was very slow in refilling our water, bottomless chips and basics like straws and utensils. The food was good, but a little overpriced even for Las Vegas Strip prices. The margaritas were overpriced for the quality and quantity. It is a beautiful restaurant and the food was fun and flavorful, we will try it again and hope for another server."

"The food was good. The waitress kept pushing appetizers. We ordered Margaritas. There were three sizes, the waitress did not ask what size we wanted and assumed we were going to get the regular size. The charge was for the large size.
So, while the food was good it was expensive for what you got, the waitress wanted to upcharge every aspect of the dinner especially the drinks. Sort of felt that we got the good old bait and switch.
While we usually give a restaurant two chances and will do so here there are so many other options in Vegas it will be a while before we try this place again."

"Our apps came out quickly and were very good. Unfortunately the main dishes took a very long tIme to come out. Our Waitress apologized and said she had to put our order in a second time. When it finally came out one order was missing. Two and a half hours there with kids was a bit much. Our phones were drain because we resorted to having our kids entertain themselves playing games. Very glad the food and drinks were good. The extra app the waitress brought helped."
