"Reservation for 8pm (wanted earlier, but it was booked). Service a bit slow at first, but picked up later. There was one mistake on the order but was corrected. Food came in fairly large portions, but several dishes were salty. Beef stir fry tasted a bit fatty.
We were in the restaurant part of the place, but still could not hear each other at the table. The bar part was LOUD, and the dining tables were very close to the bar.
Oh, and the place has a large bar/club area, but only one beer on tap! It's unfortunate they do not support any local brewers.
In the end, this was a once and done visit."

"My wife and I lived in Japan for over 4 yearrs and really loved this place. The quality and variety of choices is exceptional and except for the sushimi.....portions were generous and fairly reasonable. Can't wait to go back."

"Ordered tuna tataki roll which is ok at the best.
Tuna and salmon sashimi are sub-par, not fresh.
Tempura green tea ice cream is misleading. It is not tempura by any standard.
It took well over 30 mins for such a simply order to be presented at this relative empty restaurant on Sunday 10PM. The waiter never refilled our drink. That is what $50 gives you in this place. Avoid it."

"We went to Enso's to celebrate my nephew's graduation; it was one of the few restaurants downtown that was open for lunch on Saturday. Since they don't have a Saturday lunch menu, the wait staff recommended that we order family-style which worked out very well. One of the youngster's in the group had never eaten sushi, so I promised him $5 if he at least tried it. He wanted me to give him $15 because he ended up eating 3 pieces!
NOTE: The panther and ceviche rolls are must-haves, as well as the fried green tea ice cream."

"The service was ok. Our drinks were never filled and water was not cold and no ice in it at all. One of use got the Chicken Cashaw and there were no cashaws in it so the waiter brought out some to pore in the dish but is was not the same when it was not cooked with it. EVERYTHING was way too over priced for what you got for your money. Sushi was extremely overpriced."

"Surf and turf" described as Waygu beef and shrimp with onions, peppers, and snow peas was a stir fry loaded with brown sauce, but was listed as a beef entree but not listed with the beef stir fry list of dishes. They happily exchanged it, so did not put me off at all with the place, just word to the wise for any future patrons to be on the alert. I got sashimi instead, and the quality was excellent."

"Enso is one of my favorite restaurants. We come every couple of months and always have a great experience. Unfortunately this last time didn't really do it for us.
We arrived with reservations, but the only spot open was the sushi bar. Being date night we decided to wait and told them we wanted something more romantic like we had had in the past. They walked us over to Silk, their night club, which apparently is their over-flow area for seating. The area was nice, however, they sat us in an awkward corner with wobbly table. The room was incredibly load as a group of 20 women were sitting at a table behind us.
After that, the service was slow. Our main course came out BEFORE our appetizer. We were disappointing."

"From the second I walked in, the ambiance was set for a great night with a great house DJ for a Friday late night. Even though my date and I were forced to have a later dinner than we wanted initially, we did not have to wait for our reservation and the service was prompt. Kristen was on the spot with great recommendations and superb understanding of the sake list. Between the careful attention to detail one would expect of any industry professional and a fun attitude, the service was top-notch. Having the manager Brad stop by the table as well was a huge plus. I never question why this is one of my favorite restaurant/ lounges in town."

"We had to walk around the restaurant to find someone to seat us. We waited 5 minutes until our server first came to the table and waited almost 15 for our check to be brought to us. We got to the restaurant at 5:00 on a weekday and the restaurant was empty. We approached the bar where 2 servers were having a conversation. After standing there and looking around a couple minutes we walked around and found a man dressed in a suit talking on his cell phone. When he finished his conversation he came to seat us."

"This is my second time dining at this restaurant. The food was not bad- the lettuce wraps and seafood miso was good. However, I ordered this $17 red dragon roll, which turned out to be very fishy (and i normally even like fishy stuff, but this one just tasted weird). I just think their food is ok, but not worth the price that you pay for. The service was also so-so and the food took a while to come out even on a not so busy Wednesday night. However, I like their lounge/bar area for just having late night drinks with friends."

"Went to Enso for the first time. It was very loud inside, it was like trying to your food inside a club. The sushi was good, but not great I felt it was slightly over priced. The service was very poor there were times just waiting for the waiter to show up. They brought the sushi without the soy sauce bowl. When we were done we waited about 10-15 minutes to get our check. I rather have gone to Pisces at the Metropolitan."

"Food was great as always! The service could have been a lot better. We were celebrating a birthday which I said when I made the reservation and let the hostess know again when we got there. No special mention was made of the birthday by any of the staff. The table we got was in a busy area, not ideal. It seemed like our server was really busy the whole time we were there. He would only quickly interact with us so he could attend to his other tables. Also, we ordered an appetizer before our meal. 20 minutes passed and we never got the appetizer. We rarely saw our waiter during that time. He finally came back to our table and told us that our sushi was ready, but the appetizer was not. App was comped but definitely put a damper on things."

"Very nice looking place. The food is good, but a little overpriced for the quality. This is geared to a hip younger crowd who is looking for atmosphere over food and service. The staff was not overly friendly or helpful which detracted a little from the overall experience."

"Whenever I am uptown, I love to get some sushi at Enso. The Kiss Me Roll is my favorite! I took my son before a basketball game and quickly realized this is not a kid friendly place. We were placed in the back by the kitchen/Sushi bar which wasn't a big deal, but I felt hidden. I should have asked to sit at the sushi bar that way we could have watched the sushi being made.
The food was wonderful as always. Our server Heather was very sweet and never kept us waiting for anything."
