"Shellfish bisque was okay but not outstanding. Tenderloin filet, scallops and grilled asparagus were cooked perfectly and delicious. Creamed spinach was too milky and not enjoyable. Onion soup had way too many large croutons and looked like potato soup when it was served. Flourless chocolate torte with gelato was very enjoyable. Did not care for the large booth in which we were seated--way too large for two people. Service was fine otherwise."

"Although this was not my worst dinning experience, i expected much much more from the "chef". More work is needed in the understanding of how to cook a medium well and a medium steak. Unfortunately my first time going Was quit possible my last."

"Selected Webster's for WMU college graduation dinner for family. Staff treated us extremely well. Steaks were tasty, tender and cooked as ordered. My scallop dish was outstanding! Selected the Argentina Mendoza Carla Chiaro Malbec wine- very enjoyable. Side of grilled asparagus was perfect- lightly grilled (not burnt) and tender crisp (not soft or chewy). Young server was doing a professional job of serving, but at one point was a little too chatty. Easily resolved by continuing our conversation and not engaging him. He continued to serve quietly. Everyone was too full to try deserts, so we will have to come back soon!"

"The food is exceptionally tasty, the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic dinner for two or a quiet dinner with the family. This is not a place for a loud bunch looking to party. The place is perfect. The wait staff is clearly there to serve your every need promptly and it is truly something that you can only appreciate when you have experienced it. This all comes at a price though. Websters Prime is quite pricy."

"The decor of Webster's is simply lovely, and the food is even better. Otto's chicken was perfectly succulent with crispy skin, and the gelato sampler is just luscious. The house pianist adds a wonderful ambiance - perfect for special occasions.
I'd highly recommend Webster's to anyone; it's worth every penny for that special night out."

"I am used to dining at fine restaurants. By viewing the menu options and prices at Websters one would consider this to be one of the top restaurants in Kalamazoo. The al la carte menu main courses run $28-58 with appetizers, salads, vegetables, potatoes charged additionally. This is fine but the service should match the prices. It was disappointing..... What fine dining establishments has your hostess dressed in Ugg boots and knee highs, clears plates before all parties have finished eating, and, WORST, asks about dessert before entrées are completed???!!!! I don't mind paying for a fine dining experience and good food, but I DO expect the establishment to do their part in providing that experience. Webster's failed miserably!!!"

"Webster's was once upon a time a true epicurean experience. Over the years it deteriorated substantially. Food had degenerated to merely fair, and dining there was an invariable 4+ hour slog. As a result I had not returned in years. My recent visit, with my two companions, however, was a delightful surprise, and showed that Webster's had fully returned to its glory days. Service was cheerful, impeccable, knoledgeable, and timely, the ambience was lovely (the piano slightly loud but quite tolerable) and the food was superb!
I was really delighted to see Webster's recovered and back from the dead."

"I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday. It had a great atmosphere and great food. I had the prime serloin and was phenominal. My boyfriend had the wagyu ribeye-it tasted delicious but was a bit over seared for raw. We had the grilled asparagus and the twice baked potatoes, both of which were amazing. We shared the cheesecake for dessert which wrapped up an overall amazing dinner. My boyfriend doesn't like sweets, but loved the cheesecake. The service was alright. The waitress was very nice, but lacked knowledge of the menu for customers that are new to this caliber of restaurant."

"This was my forth time I've eaten at Webster's. The first in 2003 was fabulous! But a couple or the subsequent times were not quite as pleasurable. This time it was Restaurant Week, and I was not given what was stated on the menu. I felt that the waiter or someone should have told us that they had switched the side dish from asparagus to spinach. I like spinach well but it was tough and chewy. Also, I chose the salmon and it had very little flavor. They were also extremely busy with a wedding party, which may be why our wait seemed quite long. The salad and dessert was fabulous though. I wouldn't say that I won't come back but just less than pleased this time."

"Had a lovely dinner with friends during restaurant week. Food was excellent, ambiance great, and our table service very good. My only criticism would be the chaos at the hostess stand. When we arrived, we were asked if we were part of the wedding party, which was having a reception in the private room. When we replied "no", the hostess asked told us that we were going to be "put on hold" for a few minutes. She proceeded to ask a number of people behind us if they were with the wedding,to the point that there were four parties with reservations "on hold" waiting to be seated. As those for the weeding arrived, they were merely directed around the corner. Chaos! We felt that we should have been seated, one party at a time, as we arrived."
