"I have been here several times (business and personal) and each and every time was memorable. Food is positively delicious and unique, and the service is alwas excellent. While I rated the noise level as energetic, there are "two" sides to the restaurant; one being the bar side (energetic) and the other the quieter, romantic, side with a view to the street. The staff are all very supportive of one another, and go out of their way to make you feel special. While on the pricey side, the food, service, ambience, are all worth it. I will always find myself going back time after time."

"The food was fine--what I expect from Capital Grille--always well-presented and plentiful. The table service was also excellent. However, we waited for quite some time for our table. I realize that the hostess cannot make people move along, but we were pretty upset by the wait at a busy time of day for our guests. When we were finally seated, however, the table was a very special one in a sunny window nook, so we did feel that we had been rewarded for our wait."

"We use Capital Grille whenever we visit New York and always find the food (steaks!) really good. But beware, this is an expensive place and can be overrun with the "expense account" crowd who are always noisy for some reason...must be all that expensive wine they are consuming. We were also closer to the (noisy) bar than on previous occasions and I would ask for a different table in the future.
The wine list is extensive and you can find some reasonable priced (for New York) bottles.
The service is usually better than we experienced this time - it was okay but nothing special vs the price paid for the meal.
Would we use again? Yes, but there are likewise some other great steak houses in New York."

"Although the restaurant was not overly crowded, my business colleague and I were shown to a tiny table pushed right up against the back wall of the diningroom. As we finished our starters, the staff changed the adjacent five-top to an eight-top and sat a table of men (plus one woman) there. The backs of two of the men were less than 4 inches from our table, yet no one from the restaurant checked to see if this was a problem for us. I'm struggling to find any other way to see it than pure sexism. (1) There were many open booths and tables in the immediate area. (2) There were many booths and bigger tables occupied by two gentlemen. Since our prices were the same as the men's and our money equally green, I was very insulted."

"We have patronized the Captial Grill locations of Philly, Garden City and Chicago and have always had a wonderful experience so when we were meeting friends and they suggested the Chrysler Center location we were happy to oblige. We were not disappointed. Overall, the experience was wonderful. The service was exceptional, the food was excellent, and the ambiance was stunning for a ground floor restaurant (the glass and steel walls and ceiling which angle to a sharp point at the highest two-three story point are evocative of the Chrysler Building's terriced crown).
All in all a wonderful time. We will definitely visit again."

"The restaurant was nicely decorated on the interior--too bad the entrance could not have been from the main location (135) of the Chrysler Bldg. The staff was friendly and most accommodating, and our waitress did a grand job of providing us with excellent service and keeping with all of our demands. The presentation of the food was well done and the taste, outstanding. Our waitress had recommended the filet mignon which was heavenly good. This is a great spot whether it's a fun occasion for two or a group--highly recommend Capital Grille!"

"My boyfriend and I came here for our two year anniversary and were VERY impressed. I had told them it was an anniversary in advance and we arrived to heart confetti strewn across our table. Then we were given complimentary champagne to toast the occasion. Our food was great, the service was exceptional and this place is just so architecturally cool. It was a great experience, would definitely come back again!"

"The Capital Grille is one of our regular places. We always have a great dining experience because the service and food are always consistently well done. Our waitress was so sweet. She overheard us celebrating our wedding anniversary and she brought us over two glasses of champagne. She was sweet to our 3yr old daughter and brought her a piece of dessert. We had the perfect evening out celebrating our anniversary. The steaks are always cooked exactly how you request them. The sides are large for sharing and so yummy. Their wine list is very impressive, although we have seen their prices go up significantly. We always felt we got a great wine for good value when dining there. That feeling has changed. We will still go there regularly"

"We live in the neighborhood and decided to try this high end steakhouse. 745 Sat night reservations. Place empty but they stuck us right by front door. Plenty of booths open throughout restaurant. Waitress forgot drink order, brought wrong food as well. Have had better lobster bisque from Whole Foods. Poor choice of sides (no hashbrowns?) and augratin potatoes watery. Stuffed shrimp dry as cardboard, special balsalmic steak was cooked great but vinegar overpowered. Will not go back. Go to Palm if in area."

"As always, this experience was excellent! I treated my sister from Church and she was blown away by everything from the decor, service and the food! My son and I have a meal here at least 3 times a year and we, once again were not disappointed. The waiter, Justin was on level with all my past servers-excellent!"
