"I had a wonderful Mother's day Brunch at EBO. My mother and I have nut and gluten allergies so we called ahead and made sure there would be enough options for us at the $45 price point. Not only did the food taste great the Chef came out personally and went through all the items on the buffet to ensure what we could and could not have. If the item had gluten or nuts he personally went to his kitchen and made us our own portion based on our needs so we would not miss out on anything. I was very impressed with the attention to this very simple detail that means so much to a person. Also the host went to every table and made sure every mother received a rose stem which had personal messages hand written on them. A wonderful touch!"

"Very nice restaurant inside hotel and next to casino. We had great service from start to finish. The food was well presented, very tasty and decent portion sizes. I had the seared tuna, grilled lamb and creme brule and they were all delicious. All is time, I thought it was a japanese restaurant"

Excellent wait staff who were very accommodating with a Gluten Free menu and even offering gluten free bread for me and regular for my husband. "We went to EBO to celebrate a birthday on March 23rd. The service was very slow, at one point we felt abandoned; it took a very long time to receive our appetizers, apparently there was a mix up in the kitchen.
(It would be understandable if it was busy but it was not.
The food quality was excellent but the service needs to be improved on.
Not sure how quickly we will return."

"We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival both with the atmosphere and the menu. Although not extensive, the entrees were more continental in nature than we anticipated. The EBO special-appy, entree and dessert for $45 was a great way to 'have it all' I liked the use of local ingredients - Abbotsford goat cheese in the beet salad and also the sablefish was excellent! Would go back as it is close by without having to go into town for a downtown experience. The private rooms would be great for groups."

"The service was excellent. The hostess was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. The food on the other hand was not on the same calibre. We ordered the seared scallops as an appetizer. Tasted great, but it cost $16 for two scallops! Me and my sister were looking down at the plate wondering where the rest was! I had the chicken for dinner and it was cooked well, but it was paired with a mushroom risotto that left much to be desired, as did the dessert. If I am paying $100 a person, I would at least expect first class restaurant style food. I think it has fantastic potential and I was excited to try it out, but after eating there and getting the bill, I can't say that I will be recommending the restaurant any time soon."

"The food, once again, was exquisite. The tuna appetizer is to die for. The salmon, sablefish, and steak dinners were all perfect. The pineapple dessert is worth being adventuresome for. Unfortunately, the hosts don't seem to have gotten the knack for keeping a smooth flow at the front of the restaurant. Overall, despite the inconsistencies in service, worth going for the food."

"We've been to Ebo once before for dinner, a couple of years ago, and had an excellent time. I never got around to reviewing it on Yelp, but I probably would have given it a 4.5 stars at that point.
My wife and I, based on our previous experience and proximity to the location, decided to go back to Ebo for a second visit this Valentine's Day, for dinner. I'd have to say that based on our previous visit, the place has lost a lot of its charm and the menu options aren't nearly as interesting. The prices have also been jacked up pretty significantly.
Based on the high prices, mediocre service, loud and obnoxious patrons, and a generally uninspired menu, I don't think I'd go back. Too bad, because things were much better last time around."

"My husband and I really enjoyed the excellent appy (sashimi grade tuna, seared with a panko coating) as well as the mains (duck confit and sablefish). The latter were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. Despite being a Friday night, the place was not packed. The seating is spacious enough you don't feel like you're on top of your neighbour. Restaurant is beautifully decorated.
The location might be hard to find, but it's located in the Grand Villa hotel and casino."

"EBO’s appetizers during Dine Out Vancouver were exceptional! The Wild Mushroom Soup with the Truffled Brioche Coal was rich, creamy and delicious and the Tuna with crab and watermelon was innovative. Of the 3 entrees, the best choices were the Roasted Steelhead with the smoke Sablefish Brandade and lobster emulsion or the Grilled Lamb Chops. Unfortunately, the Roast Duck Confit entrée was too salty due apparently to the brining process. Both dessert choices of Chocolate Pot de crème and Poached Pineapple with Almond Cake were delicious. The service was excellent with all staff being friendly, efficient, and attentive."

"My wife and I had a great Dine Out Vancouver experience here. The duck and lamb were very tender, and delicious! The quality of the food and service was impeccable, and the place feels special without being pretentious. We'll give it a go on the regular meal sometime."

"We had a romantic dinner for two! We were very close to the window as we requested. Our server Sarah was awesome, and Michael remembered us from last year. The food and service was awesome and filling at the same time.Thank you!"
