"The food is always outstanding. The worst part of this experience is getting inside. The weeds in the shrubs and flowers just makes me want to pull them out as I would not have to bend over very far. Obviously the owner/manger either comes in another door or just doesn't care. But I do!"

"I was incredibly disappointed. I have eaten at fine restaurants all over the world. This was the worst hi-end restaurant I have ever been to. The Oysters Rockefeller were so covered in toppings the oysters couldn't be tasted. The medium Prime Rib was a thin scraggly fatty cut reminiscent of a diner. The medalions were swimming in a sauce from a can with pieces of everyday mushrroms. The creamed spinach was so full of nutmeg you couldn't taste the spinach. The Garlic potatoes were cold. OTOH, after my companion sent away the prime rib (which she said had a funny taste in addition to being a pathetic cut) the Salmon they brought to replace it was prettty good with the bed of risoto.

"The best way to characterize this place is over priced and stuffy. Had high hopes. The food was good, slightly above average but nothing special. We were celebrating our 4 year anny, live nearby, and had been wanting to try this restaurant out, which is known for being very expensive. So it's not like we were surprised by the sticker price, we were just underwhelmed by the avg food. The appetizers were good enough - I had the heirloom tomato salad and my wife the paella risotto cakes. This was the high point of the meal. They had a special on soft shells, so I had one as a 2nd app. Tasty, but slightly over done. Biggest issue was with my steak, which really lacked any flavor. Bizarre for a bone in rib-eye, which are normally delicious."

"Quiet. Romantic. Excellent service. We got scallops, crab cakes, prime rib, and lobster bisque. Everything just kept getting better. Even the hot fudge sundae at the end! Special occasion for sure. Our 10 year anniversary. Spent about 150 after tip. But worth every penny. Planning on coming back every year! It would be every week if we could afford it."

"We went here on mother's day and the service couldn't have been better. My mom is kind of picky about things and asks for a lot. She was cold and asked if the waiter could bring her a jacket. He brought her one from somewhere- I think they have a few extra jackets meant for the waitstaff. My mom asked for more bread, extra butter with jam and honey for it, lots of extra stuff- and he was so nice about continuing to get whatever she wanted with a smile. We left him a $30 tip, which was over 20% of the bill.
The food is always delicious. My sister didn't like the Oregon Grille, but she didn't tell us until she was almost done with the meal- so we didn't really feel right about complaining about it. My food was great and so was mom's."

"Took wife and 4 kids to Oregon Grille for Mother's Day. Had been there 2 times prior and both were good experiences. However, the kitchen/staff were way behind on this day. We were seated at 10:30 and it took over an hour to get our food. With 4 kids that is a pretty rough situation, although they handled it better than I'd hoped. The worst part was another table seated near us arrived 20 minutes after we did and got their food before us. Really surprising that this high-end restaurant would have such poor service on a day when they knew they'd be serving many people. Not sure if we'll go back at this point."

"Oregon Grille. Is a great place to dine for adults but it isn't kid Friendly for kids under 15, although the waiter made a special meal for my 11 year old son, which consisted of a grill cheese and fries. I would have rather had more choices for him on mothers day. But overall the adults enjoyed their meals, and the Lamb was excellent."

"I submit this brief review with several qualifiers:
- Dinners at The Oregon Grille in the past have been superb.
- This was a brunch.
- It was Mother's Day.
- This was a brunch.
- It was Mother's Day.
The service was a bit slow, though colorful and personable. This might be attributable to the holiday rush; I'm not sure. The food was fine, but nothing compared to what we'd experienced from the dinner menu. I understand that there's only so many variations of breakfast food that one might create, but our particular items were somewhat bland and portions were overcooked. We left satisfied but, for the price, we expected far more."

"Celebrating my third anniversary and Mother's day. First time dining here and both my wife and I were very pleased. We were pleased with the service, the waiter was fun, made the experience that much more meaningful and pleasant for us. The food was wonderful and plentiful. Had ordered flowers as a surprise for my wife. Flowers were there at our table waiting for us. Overall, it was a very pleasant and memorable first time experience."

"Oregon Grille has always delivered. Service is outstanding and the entrees never disappoint. The atmosphere is what you expect from any white table restaurant. You will always leave saying you want to come back for any occasion. The one item that always amazes me is the older maître d and owner never smile during your visit. "Overall, this restaurant fell way short of expectations for a high end dining venue. Very disappointed overall.
The service was exasperatingly slow, as well as taking over 15 mins. for a simple cocktail that turns out they were out of stock. Shocking. The same occured for an entree, that was a signature dish....again, not available. When the entrees were served, the sides were "cold", instead of a fresh dish being replaced, the side was simply "microwaved" which made it hot, but unedible.
Again disappointing for a 4+star restaurant. I am afraid, we will not be returning to this venue."

"My husband took me to OG for Mother's Day. He chose this restaurant for the live jazz and because I love a good lobster dish. For starters, they sat us upstairs away from the live music. The upstairs was cramped and there was no ambience (VERY disappointing). I selected the linguine w/ lobster that had a red spicy sauce. I asked the waiter if the sauce was really spicy and he told me "no". He said on a scale of 1-10, the spiciness was a 3. Okay, cool, so I tried it. Needless to say, the meal was so spicy that all I could eat was the lobster which had absolutely no taste and seemed overcooked. This dining experience left absolutely no lasting impression. Of course, i didn't have the heart to tell my husband. Just kept smiling."

"We chose the Oregon Grille to celebrate our son's college graduation. Based on reviews, it sounded like a suitable place to celebrate this major milestone. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice, and it was quiet enough for conversation, but the food was overpriced and underseasoned. The salads were good, but the entrees were not piping hot when served, which one would expect in an establishment such as this. Portions were enormous."

"This used to be our go to place when we get a special night out. We have bee disappointed the last few times we have gone. The food continues to be good but the service this time was lacking. "We both had surf and turf with grilled oyster appetizer. My lobster smelled of ammonia and neither had any taste. Steaks were just OK. Grilled oysters were excellent. Had slump for desert and the only part of the slump that was good was the ice cream. The sushi bar for happy hour was the best part of the evening and it was free. Service is outstanding. Have eaten here many times but never again."

"My husband took me to OG for my birthday, and it was truly one of the best 5 meals of my life...and I have enjoyed MANY fine meals (and cooked a few myself). From the minute we walked in to the bar, to our apps, to the delightful sommelier, our fabulous dinner and wine, and even a little birthday treat...presented while the piano player softly played a few bars of Happy Birthday. I cannot recommend OR more highly. Service: Fabulous. We loved the Piano. So soft, but added so much to our evening. It has been 3 weeks and I am still dreaming about our wonderful evening at OR."

"I heard great things about this restaurant but overall I think it was ok. We sat upstairs which was did not seems as nice as the bar area or the ambiance of downstairs. Our waiter seemed annoyed that we were asking questions about the food. I wasn't sure if he just was not comfortable with the menu or he was just being impatient. The sushi roll appetizer was great. The mixed green salad was ok. The main course was very good. I ordered the fish special (Hawaiian butterfish) which was cooked well. The vegetable side dishes were so-so (asparagus was overcooked and mushrooms seemed like they were poured out of the can onto the plate). It was very expensive. I was somewhat disappointed but I am willing to give it another try."

"The Oregon Grille preserves the qualities of the fine dining of yesteryear. Its bucolic exterior is betrayed by its semi-formal interior. Patrons pass over a footbridge before they enter where they are greeted by the maître d’ and the coatroom attendant. A live piano fills the air with old standards. It is so pleasant to sit at a table covered by a clean, white tablecloth with perfectly set cutlery. Service is prompt and attentive. Of course, the menu has a grand selection of fine American cuisine available à la carte. Dishes are impressive from their fine presentation to the delectable memories they impart. Prices are moderate, but the dining experience is worth every dollar."

"Our first time there and it was a wonderful experience. Would go again for any special occasion and just to have wonderful food. We didn't have a chance to visit the bar but would go back there for a bite or to have a more cassual lunch. Great service, could ask for more. "This is a charming old house in the middle of open fields. Serving is both inside in a hunt breakfast setting or outside in a garden. "Took my girlfriend for her birthday; asked for a romantic table and got one near the piano player...nice touch. Attentive service thta was not over-bearing. Food was excellently prepared and nicely presented. The only minor caveat was the steak had some gristle, but overall a nice piece of meat. Definitely a place to go to celebrate any special occasion, especially when romance is involved! Highyl recommended from soneone who has been to most of the finest restaurants in the metro area."

"The service was excellent and the ambiance was very nice. The food left a lot to be desired however. We each ordered the signature Dry-aged steak. My wife orderd the Au Povre version. My steak was cooked perfectly. Her's was over cooked. It took a while to turn the steak around and the sides got cold. Both steaks were tender and juicy as to be expected. However, neither had much flavor by themselves. The demi glaze included with my wife's steak helped hers but still the steak itself had none.
The appetizers were good, but not outstanding.
Granted, it was our first time and everyone has an off day. Still the signature item shouldn't have off days."

"Unfortunately, the venerable Oregon Grille seems past its prime. There was nothing fresh or innovative about the food, we had to ask for the wine list and it took over half an hour before we had drinks in front of us. When you spend $44 dollars on an entrée it should be really good, not just passable. Our out of town guests weren't impressed, we're taking this restaurant off our list and will patronize other establishments that focus on the dining experience instead of just going through the motions."

"I took my girlfriend to the Oregon Grille on 3/9/13 for her birthday. We had an 8:00pm reservation. We were seated right away. We ordered our main courses at approximately 8:20pm The entrees did not come out until approximately 8:50. So it was a half hour wait for our food. Once our food came out, my girlfriend took a bite of her crabcakes and it was cold. Im assuming that our food was ready before 8:50pm and it just sat there for a few minutes before it came to our table. My girlfriend had to ask our waiter to re-heat her food. My food was cold as well not piping hot. Unfortunately my girl stated that she was not happy with the experience and does not want to come back. I also feel the same way as well."
